Good Morning, dear friends!
It is such a glorious day outside. As a result, I am able to just stand under the trees and graze for a bit. This is just like I would do at Barn 55! It reminds me so much of those moments in my California Home!
The weather has been rather lovely…and I am enjoying every single moment of my time outdoors. I must say, I have adjusted beautifully to my new life and my ‘new career’ as a MOM-TO-BE!
I am wearing my ‘sunglasses’ often these days…not just for the sun but to keep those ‘adorable…yet pesty flies’ off my face. These masks really work.
As you can see, I am ‘growing’ a bit…but in all of the right ways. While relaxing and grazing, I do use the time to think about so many things!
It is always interesting to reflect upon what one has achieved and the different paths one may experience in life. Last year at this time, I had just won #18 in a row and my 3rd Clement Hirsch-G1 stakes. I was enjoying a few weeks of RNR after the race with MY JOHN, Mario, and Steve at Del Mar. The cool ocean breezes were making it such a comfortable environment. I was also grazing on the grass and standing by trees…just like I am now.
Some things in life change and one’s life goes through various stages. Other things remain very much the same…and constant! I am such a BLESSED HORSE. I have been so fortunate to experience all of the different stages of being a very successful and world-class athlete in my sport…and yet have so many special and sweet things in my life stay happily the same.
Lucky ME!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Dear Signofthetimes:
You’re spot on. She was Unbelievable in that race. To make up almost 28 lengths, I think, and fly by after the line. I’ve never seen anything like her before. Hugs, J.B.

Dear Signofthetimes and Susan in Tn.:
Thanks for your well wishes for us on the East Coast. Tomorrow is probably the last day I’ll be able to post for a while, if the winds from the storm are what they’re forecasting. We no doubt will lose electrical power. Hugs, J.B.

Sleep tight, sweet Z, till the morning light.

Good morning Zenny, I don’t think Hurricane Irene will affect Kentucky so I wish you a calm, relaxing day grazing with Tasty T. Don’t forget to wear your shades.
My daughter, who lives near Bar Harbor, Maine, may get blown around a bit over the weekend so she will have to hunker down. My son-in-law is very optimistically going to Boston today, no doubt to a Red Sox game, so I hope he makes it home before the weather reaches New England. Judy B. I will be thinking about you and your husband as well.

Good morning Zetty,
is the grass tickling your snootie,

@Eveline: I feel the same about farm animals! When I was growing up(near Chicago), my dream was to have a farm. As I got older (and realistic!), I realized I wanted farm ANIMALS who would never leave or necessarily do anything!

Yes, you have led a blessed life and in turn, our lives are blessed by you and your team. Reading your diary entries are very uplifting and remind me to keep a positive attitude.
I love that Baby Z is growing and thriving inside your tummy! It’s wonderful to see the weight gain. Makes me smile everyday to think about your little one. I bet Baby Z will be the MOST photographed baby in the entire world!!
Your life has changed a lot in a year but there are still some similarities. Still grazing under the trees. Still loved by all. Still getting the best of care. Still the same wonderful you.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Beautiful Zenyatta,
I am so grateful to You and Dottie for all that You do for Your Dumplingz. The pictures of You have been wonderful and Your diary entries have been solace to many of us who needed that blessing.
@Kari & All: I did not realize how many were in need of that Irish Blessing and all of your comments have filled my heart to overflowing. I have another site I hope will be an encouragement to you, Kari, and to all the Dumplingz who could use a lift today. http://www.e-water.net/viewflash.php?flash=loveletter_en
I am continuing to pray for all of our East Coast Dumplingz and friends. Please stay hunkered down and safe. One huge favor for all of us who will be anxiously awaiting news from you, please check in and let us know that you are ok or what we can do to help if you need help after Irene.
