Happy Monday to All!

I truly hope you had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed yourselves and all of the competitive racing that took place around the country. I sure did….so much so I thought I’d DANCE for a bit! I must admit, that this is just part of my nature…to DANCE whenever I feel terrific! I love doing the “ZENYATTA”.

I’d also like to congratulate all of the winners who ran from coast to coast over the weekend. It makes for such FUN when the racing is as exciting as it has been lately.

I’d especially like to congratulate my owners on SISTER MOON’S maiden victory yesterday at Del Mar. She is a two year old filly by Dixie Union who was making her very first start. She is a homebred for their racing program…which really makes it all so special and so rewarding! Not only did she win quite impressively by over 9 lengths…she also set a new track record for Del Mar at the 5 1/2 furlong distance: 102.70. WOW! She is certainly one very “QUICK MISS”.

Track records for a specific distance are noted at the top of the page in the program and Daily Racing Form every time a particular race is carded at that distance. They reflect the BEST TIME that distance has ever been run…ever…at that race track!

I am elated to say, I also hold a track record time at Del Mar. Mine is for the 1 1/16 distance on the main track of 1:41.48. I believe I was definitely one very “QUICK MISS” as well! (Blush, Blush!)

All of this news….makes ME want to DANCE!

    I just wanted to add that I was at Del Mar on Saturday. I got to see YOUR JOHN in the paddock and Dottie :-)

    @ Dawn C – You are still travelling!! It’s so nice to have you back and your travelogues are so descriptive, I can almost see those canyon walls.
    @ Diana and Kari – I was not not able to post over the weekend while visiting Saratoga, left the laptop home. My warmest thoughts are with you both even if I am a bit late expressing them.

    When Sister Moon won, we looked at each other and said simultaneously: “that’s going to be a High Hoof from Zenyatta.” Wonder if there is a Brother Sun . . . can’t remember the connection, but remember the phrase from the ’70’s.

    Dear Great One,
    You should have been recruited to perform on Dancing with the Stars! You certaintly can dance and everyone knows you are a STAR! Kidding aside, I did enjoy racing this weekend and was blown away by Sister Moon as a newcomer and equally so by Awesome Gem, that great old-timer. Something for everyone! You take good care and enjoy yourself!

    @JAG. Loved the video of Sister Moon’s win. That filly takes off like a rocket. I hope that this win is the beginning of a stellar career for her. Congrats to her and her team.

    @Dawn–you lucky duck! we were in Moab last Sept., but we didn’t even know there was a boat trip. That must have been unforgettable. So glad you’ve had such a good summer. We miss you when you’re gone.

    Congratulations, High Hooves, to Sister Moon’s, I would like the story on her name. This was her first start and she broke her maiden and set the record…all in one…Quick Miss is right.

    Ms Zenyatta, do you miss the fans? Do you miss the excitement? I miss you dancing out there and as soon as you get to the gate…it is all professional…you are truly the best. I miss you out there, I would love to see you dance out there one more time, with Mikey and Mario,.. don’t listen to me, it is my selfish heart pouring out self pitying remarks to the Queen..I am glad you are safe, healthy, happy and going to have a little baby boy or girl…I love you…Lisa g

    I miss your dancing Z….that is the one fun thing that makes you so different than other horses. I went to a horse center this past weekend in Lexington, VA and I never saw a horse that dances….only you Z….special you!!! I love to watch the music video – “Zenyatta”….makes me smile every time.     Zenny, I was very impressed with Sister Moon’s race! It appeared that she won by more that 9 3/4 lengths! I thought it was more like 12. Then, to break the track record, well, what’s not to love about her and the fact that her mom and dad are the Moss’! Gotta love your family!
    I miss seeing you dance!! Maybe a new video is in store? hint hint!!! Love you big girl!!

    Hello Beautiful Zenny!! I love you! I wish I could see a picture of that precious baby bump. You can dance alright and show those guys a few steps. When you have your baby, you will be giving birth doing the jive or the two step. lol

    Hi Big Mama Z! I saw Sister Moon’s impressive maiden win yesterday on television. I will be watching for her in future races. I love her name. I’m wondering where the Mosses came up with that name. It’s great. You take care of yourself and junior, big girl. Miss you at the track.
