Happy Monday to All!
I truly hope you had a wonderful weekend and really enjoyed yourselves and all of the competitive racing that took place around the country. I sure did….so much so I thought I’d DANCE for a bit! I must admit, that this is just part of my nature…to DANCE whenever I feel terrific! I love doing the “ZENYATTA”.
I’d also like to congratulate all of the winners who ran from coast to coast over the weekend. It makes for such FUN when the racing is as exciting as it has been lately.
I’d especially like to congratulate my owners on SISTER MOON’S maiden victory yesterday at Del Mar. She is a two year old filly by Dixie Union who was making her very first start. She is a homebred for their racing program…which really makes it all so special and so rewarding! Not only did she win quite impressively by over 9 lengths…she also set a new track record for Del Mar at the 5 1/2 furlong distance: 102.70. WOW! She is certainly one very “QUICK MISS”.
Track records for a specific distance are noted at the top of the page in the program and Daily Racing Form every time a particular race is carded at that distance. They reflect the BEST TIME that distance has ever been run…ever…at that race track!
I am elated to say, I also hold a track record time at Del Mar. Mine is for the 1 1/16 distance on the main track of 1:41.48. I believe I was definitely one very “QUICK MISS” as well! (Blush, Blush!)
All of this news….makes ME want to DANCE!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~(Yeah, Sister Moon!)

Dear Z,
Nobody does it better. Love that dance move. You look wonderful. Love you and love to all of you, Judy and Russ.
Joanna
Hi, Z. You’re looking so good in this late summer. About your dance moves…you know other animals do these kinds of actions too, when they get just SO excited or have so much anticipation for something coming up, that they just have to DO SOMETHING! I absolutely love it; I’ve seen videos of you in action. Dancing with the Stars has nothing on you, girl. Enjoy!
Ingrid Arnone
Oh! You are so cute, I really miss you in the racetrack, I miss you, and I love you, Ingrid.

You definitely still have the moves, beautiful girl!
Congratulations to Sister Moon’s for not only breaking her maiden but also setting a track record! What a blast! And you were more than a Quick Miss, you were like a tornado spinning down the track! :) Hope you got to enjoy a lot of the racing this past weekend. I was so impressed with Awesome Gem in the Longacre. He’s a hard kicking horse that doesn’t care about age.
Have a cool and happy Monday!
Love,

Dearest Z– watching your dance move in this picture is good for what ails us. I hope you are dancing when you are 30! I cherish having seen you in person, and it was magic.
I’m having a hard time keeping up with OUR John’s horses. He seems to have so many new ones, now that you are gone.
Still missing Catherine Uher and Lou Ann. Hoping to hear reports soon.
Trusting all is well with Kimberley Potter’s grandbaby-to-be.
Kari Bussell– we’re circling our wagons around you in prayers, thoughts, and hugs.
@Dawn Conrad–have you left us again? We were looking forward to more of the travelogue. Hope you are OK.

Wow Zennie, just watched replay of Sister Moon’s race. Won so easily & on a hand ride. Loved the call of the race. She sure has the right moves! Perfect that both of you now have track records at Del Mar. You look beautiful as always.
Marty
You’re a wonderful dancer. I always loved the show you put on for your fans. I must say that I really miss that.
Dawn Conrad
Dear Zenyatta. The pictures of your bath time are just TOO CUTE!! I can see why you feel like dancing! That cold water must feel really good on those especially hot days. I remember how great it felt in my youth when I would run in the lawn sprinklers to cool off. Awe, those were the days. Welcome back from Saratoga, Sarah!! I am loving the photos you are taking of our Zenny! Thanks to Dottie also, for helping Zenyatta with the great posts this last week. Seeing pictures of Jeanne Mayberry enjoying Del Mar and hearing about the special patience and love she gave you while you were learning about your racing job was fantastic. Her remarkable care was certainly a big part of your ultimate success. She and her daughter should feel a great deal of pride. I know they must love you very much, as we all do!!!! The pictures from Pam Harper’s parents 50th were just so special. I know the feeling of opening a box and seeing Nina Kaiser’s bronze image of you looking back, Zenny. It is something beyond words and forever priceless. I look at #19 every day, give her a pat and kiss and think how very lucky I am and how fantastic you are!!! Loved the pictures from John with the poodles and Bronze Beauty eating her dandelion greens. Our John is just the kindest man ever!!!! You mentioned, Sophie, please be sure to say hello to her from me. She is such a cutie pie. I really enjoyed the new art piece depicting you. “A Farewell Kiss” is so beautiful! Speaking of something beautiful, Zenny, I did something this last Friday night that made me think of you. I went on a boat trip for a few hours on the Colorado River in Moab, Utah. It was a nighttime event. We had a good ole cowboy dinner first, with everything prepared in Dutch ovens. Then it was onto the boat. It had a large flat area on top with seats and was totally open so that we could see the canon walls and the stars. As we went up river, spotlights shown on the rocks and if you used your imagination you could see all sorts of images come alive in the rocks. Then there was a light show on the cliffs and we were presented with the history of the area. Finally, all of the lights were turned off, beautiful music was playing and we drifted down the river looking up at the stars in heaven, surrounded by the muted shapes of the canyon walls and a peaceful and spiritual serenity. It was so uplifting to the soul. I thought to myself, you are like one of those stars, Zenny. Shining brightly for all to see, a masterpiece of nature. Totally unique, shooting across the sky. Inspirational in your magnitude, memorable in your brilliance, breathtaking in your radiance. I love you so! Sweet dreams. Hugs and kisses. XXXOOO
Margaret
Does this mean I get to blast my neighbors with some great blasts from the past and boogie on down? That would fun. I don’t dance nearly as well as you Z but I can wiggle my butt a little.
Ah well at least one of us is well coordinated.
Amber

Congratulations to the Mosses! And dear Zenny, if YOU’RE not running, racing just isn’t as exciting anymore. But I guess I must find another horse that puts my heart into my throat when they run,hm? I miss the dancing, too. Although, have you seen Mucho Macho Man boogie? He’s got some great moves going on – check him out at his Facebook page (don’t know how to post a link – sorry!).
