Happy Friday,
Today is a very memorable day in our industry. The CLASS of 2011 is being inducted into the Hall of Fame which is located at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The induction ceremonies will be shown this morning on HRTV. They are taking place at 10:30 Eastern Time in the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion. Bobby Flay is hosting the presentation along with broadcaster, Randy Moss. The festivities are open to the public.
Congratulations to all of the 2011 inductees:
Jerry Hollendorfer and Matthew Byrnes, Trainers
Shelby “Pike” Barnes, a Jockey who starred in the 1880’s
Duke of Magenta, Open Mind, Safely Kept, and Sky Beauty, Horses
Sarah was so sweet and took some other photos for us to share of the Museum. I hope you enjoy them.
I wanted to show you ROBERT FRANKEL’S plaque on the wall…as Dottie actually wrote the script for it for Bobby.
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy all of the fabulous racing taking place around the country during the next few days and HAVE FUN!
Perhaps we’ll see some future Hall of Famers in action and running this weekend! HOOVES CROSSED!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Congratulations to HOF Class of 2011)

Good night, sweet Z. Love you always and praying for safe trips for all.

@BABY RESULTS****08-12-11 (NOTE: Today’s plays were posted on #316 by mistake). Sorry.

SARATOGA – No Plays
.
DEL MAR –
Race 5 – “Pumpkin Pie” was scratched so we passed this race. The other two came in 1st & 2nd. Granny cashed them both. Congrats Mike, All Time for now.
.
Race 8 – “Senor Rain” ran away with it. “Sabe” started to show something then faded to 4th, and “Navy Seal Six” was blown up and was never in it. Time was average. Another one for Grams. They finished 1st. 4th, & 10th – $6.00
.
-$6.00 Bet Today +$275.20 Going Into Tomorrow

Thanks for sharing Zenyatta!!
DMCQ
To Cynthia H: LOL, actually “Y’all” is singular in the DS (deep south). The plural is “All Y’ALL”.
To All Y’All Dumplingz: I made a few notes to post for tomorrow, since I just finished scanning and it’s late, late, no I mean early, early…Sweet dreamz

Dearest Z, Sleep tight till the morning light.
@DJ (who is on a three-day spiritual retreat)—Hope you are enjoying the retreat—we can’t wait to get you back. We’re going through DJ withdrawal.
@Lil in KY—Cute chicken joke!
@Terry Crow—I agree with Judy Berube—that wife with the chocolate chip cookies was MEAN. Strange, isn’t it, how humor intrinsically has a cutting element, and the balance between funny and mean is very delicate. By the way, I don’t mind being one of the “guys”—I use that term myself when speaking to a group of lady friends.
@Deborah Richman—Z “in the hall of our hearts”: well said!
@Kari Bussell—I’m so glad you liked my efforts! But let me say that it is YOU, young lady, who is the talented one!
@DMCQ—Thanks for the lesson—I didn’t know that DS was the deep south, that “y’all” is singular, and that “all y’all” is the plural! Now I know! Thanks again.

@Ms Nagele: It’s waaayyy past your bedtime! But since you’re up – any champaign left from Kari’s party? I’ll be right over!
@Kari & Cynthia: What? No role for me at the farm? I’m crushed … sniff. Room for some rescues, I hope – not just my champion race filly MZ BossyPants?
@All Y’all: Seriously, congratulations to the great HOF inductees, especially those wonderul race mares.
@All again: DJ told me to do the morning and evening prayers in her absence. Uh oh.

Hi Zenny: How are you? Nice cool weather we are having on the east coast. I bet you’re happy!
A great big high hoof to Sarah! Thanks so much for these pictures. I didn’t know that the Hall of Fame is in Saratoga. Now I will have to go and see that too. Thanks so much! Enjoy your weekend Zenny!
@Kari Bussell: Happy Birthday!
Kari Bussell
@Diane S.- Move Cynthia H- from front row back to the back row with me (she is bad) and we’ll negotiate.
Kari Bussell
@Diane-all welcome.

@DMCQ–actually it’s “y’all all”, but who’s quibbling? Hope you and McDude have a good day today.
Waaaaah–I want my DJ back. (Just kidding, but you get the idea).
Good morning, sweet Z–I’ll bet youve been up for a long time already. Hope it’s nice in Lexington this morning. I think almost any morning would be nice in Lexington (especially visiting with YOU or at the rail at Keeneland watching the morning workouts.)

Good Morning Z and “y”all all”:
Want to do DJ proud and post one of my favorite prayer/hymns. Hugs, J.B.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
