Happy Friday,
Today is a very memorable day in our industry. The CLASS of 2011 is being inducted into the Hall of Fame which is located at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The induction ceremonies will be shown this morning on HRTV. They are taking place at 10:30 Eastern Time in the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion. Bobby Flay is hosting the presentation along with broadcaster, Randy Moss. The festivities are open to the public.
Congratulations to all of the 2011 inductees:
Jerry Hollendorfer and Matthew Byrnes, Trainers
Shelby “Pike” Barnes, a Jockey who starred in the 1880’s
Duke of Magenta, Open Mind, Safely Kept, and Sky Beauty, Horses
Sarah was so sweet and took some other photos for us to share of the Museum. I hope you enjoy them.
I wanted to show you ROBERT FRANKEL’S plaque on the wall…as Dottie actually wrote the script for it for Bobby.
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy all of the fabulous racing taking place around the country during the next few days and HAVE FUN!
Perhaps we’ll see some future Hall of Famers in action and running this weekend! HOOVES CROSSED!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Congratulations to HOF Class of 2011)

Your poem for Kari was very touching…yes, Zenny remembers her, how could she not?
Vicki B.
I too would love to see what you wrote on the plaque about your friend, Bobby Frankel, Dottie.
Vicki B.
@Terry Crow – liked today’s joke, am passing it on at work. Thanks!
Cynthia H.
@Lisa B: It sure would be great to see your photos of Eblouissante schooling! How lucky for you that you happened to be there. Talk about perfect timing!
The Arlington Million always makes me think of one of my favorite horses of all-time, The Bart.
Brenda S..
Thank you Sarah for the great pics, Now I have to figure out if there’ll be time to get to the Museum next weekend if only to read Dottie’s words on the Frankel plaque.
Congratulations to the inductees.
Zenny, I hope you’re having a relaxing day and that you have a fun weekend cheering for Gio Ponti. Remember to stay well hydrated and to wear your fly mask and shades. Those pesky bugs were really biting today when I took Vic for her lesson.
Safe trips to all this weekend.

Happy Birthday Kari B!! :} Hugs to all & safe racing this weekend!

Thanks to Sarah for all the beautiful photos today. It would be so nice to read the inscription authored by “your Dottie” on Mr. Frankel’s plaque.
Dottie, your words are always so inspirational and from the heart.
Today was fun, but disappointing. Perhaps some of you might have a suggestion for me. I went to early morning workouts and saw some beautiful horses and also met Richard Mandella ( trainer) and a retired jockey from Australia who now lives in Temecula, Ca. His name was Bobby ??? Nice fellow. I asked for suggestion about trying to go any say hello to Z’s trainer, John. Anyway, we went over to the gate and ( with my dumpling tag) as if that might help, I respectfully asked to have an opportunity to gain permission to the backside. No can do. The man at the gate said I had to know a trainer or owner and get a pass. So, since I don’t other than our wonderful love of Zenyatta, was unable to visit. Goes without saying I’m sure all are very busy and focused, it’s just that I read about how many of you have gotten the opportunity and how do you do it? Perhaps I will wait until John and his group are back at Barn 55, where perhaps the security people would be willing to call. It was still a beautiful day and hopefully Del Mar may have a backside tour. They did years ago and we were able to visit some of the barns.
Karen was so nice to give me information re: Barn 55 so I will be patient and try again up at HP.
Hope you are having a great day Z with your friends. Good luck to all horses racing and a safe trip for all.
Terry Crow
@Judy Berube, Lisa g and Vicki B-Glad you enjoyed the joke. @Barbara Wood-retirement not in sight yet. @J udy Berube-Thanks for the link. Great race. The Bart still probably thinks he won. Masterful ride by the master of them all, Shoe.

Dear Terry Crow:
I really thought he did win. Was a head bob at the wrong time for the Bart; right time for John Henry. That close. Yes, was a great ride by Shoe. Hugs, J.B.
judy berube
Dear Delrene:
Sorry you weren’t able to get a pass. Hope you have luck when John and the horses return to Hollywood Park and Barn 55. Hugs, J.B.
