Happy Friday,
Today is a very memorable day in our industry. The CLASS of 2011 is being inducted into the Hall of Fame which is located at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The induction ceremonies will be shown this morning on HRTV. They are taking place at 10:30 Eastern Time in the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion. Bobby Flay is hosting the presentation along with broadcaster, Randy Moss. The festivities are open to the public.
Congratulations to all of the 2011 inductees:
Jerry Hollendorfer and Matthew Byrnes, Trainers
Shelby “Pike” Barnes, a Jockey who starred in the 1880’s
Duke of Magenta, Open Mind, Safely Kept, and Sky Beauty, Horses
Sarah was so sweet and took some other photos for us to share of the Museum. I hope you enjoy them.
I wanted to show you ROBERT FRANKEL’S plaque on the wall…as Dottie actually wrote the script for it for Bobby.
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy all of the fabulous racing taking place around the country during the next few days and HAVE FUN!
Perhaps we’ll see some future Hall of Famers in action and running this weekend! HOOVES CROSSED!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Congratulations to HOF Class of 2011)

@Anne from Paramount-It is good to see Jerry Antonucci back in action. Paula Deen? Wasn’t she the Grand Marshal of the last Rose Parade? Maybe there should have been a dumpling riding in the car with her. In fact, if anybody knows anybody on the Tournament of Roses Committee how about a horse racing theme?

Happy Friday Precious Zenny! Thank you for sharing the pics of the Hall of Fame. I am going to have to save up to make a trip there someday soon. Hopefully it will be when you are inducted.
Do you know if Eblouissante was schooling in the paddock on wednesday Aug. 10 at Del Mar? I was at the paddock before the 5th race when I thought I saw you. There was this filly that caught my eye while she was in the saddling stall schooling. She stood very tall and held her head up high with her ears picked. For a moment there I thought it was you. When she looked out of the stall she had no markings on her face. I knew then that it was just wishful thinking on my part. Then I remembered that Eblouissante is at Del Mar. I thought maybe this is Zenny’s little sister. There is noway any filly could look so much like the Precious Zenny other than her little sister. She had cotton in her ears, stood tall, very attentive to what was going on around her, the mirror image of Zenny without the tornado blaze. I took some pictures of her. I miss you so much!!
Love YOU OOOXXX

I am going to Del Mar tomorrow. Would love to know if Eblouissante is there..

John Henry retired “twice”. Today, in 1986, he retired for the last time. However, unlike Zenny, he never raced when he came out of his “first retirement”.
