Happy Friday,
Today is a very memorable day in our industry. The CLASS of 2011 is being inducted into the Hall of Fame which is located at the National Museum of Racing in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The induction ceremonies will be shown this morning on HRTV. They are taking place at 10:30 Eastern Time in the Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion. Bobby Flay is hosting the presentation along with broadcaster, Randy Moss. The festivities are open to the public.
Congratulations to all of the 2011 inductees:
Jerry Hollendorfer and Matthew Byrnes, Trainers
Shelby “Pike” Barnes, a Jockey who starred in the 1880’s
Duke of Magenta, Open Mind, Safely Kept, and Sky Beauty, Horses
Sarah was so sweet and took some other photos for us to share of the Museum. I hope you enjoy them.
I wanted to show you ROBERT FRANKEL’S plaque on the wall…as Dottie actually wrote the script for it for Bobby.
Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy all of the fabulous racing taking place around the country during the next few days and HAVE FUN!
Perhaps we’ll see some future Hall of Famers in action and running this weekend! HOOVES CROSSED!
With Love,
Hugs to All~ (Congratulations to HOF Class of 2011)

Congratulations to Cozie Rozie! And Harmonious, I love you! Great effort. gotta love a Dynaformer baby.
Eloquently stated, Ms. Wheeler. I reiterate, I love this site for all the positive things I’ve learned about Zenyatta, her connections and horse rescue/rehabilitation and the many organizations to help ensure health and happiness to these horses that give us so much enjoyment. Thank you Dottie for this forum and Z I hope you are sleeping well and have a great Monday.
Thanks to the Kennedy’s for the great stories. Would love to be able to visit and I’m on my way to her Facebook page right now.

@Marshall
Yes. Always has been. Someone is on a really Big Ego trip! A perfect site for the friends of Zenyatta. Not for the individual, per se… but for those she brought together! For shame! Those without gratitude.
Anne Ky
Charlotte Farmer: I hope you find something bigger than *Noor to hold over our heads. You are not sounding good mentally. We all bury the dead.
Anita Ca.
@ Charlotte Farmer –
I hope this is indeed your last post. Everything you write is always about you and you have no right to think that you know better than anyone else here. Especially Dottie, the website or the loving fans of Zenyatta who have been called on their own special missions. This is for everyone that Zenyatta brought together and if you have nothing good to say than you should just keep your mouth humbly shut. And it appears you do not.
Laura M.
@Barbara Wood & Trina N. Don’t you worry one second. You are long time favorites here that will not be intimidated. Someone is out of whack! Ending it there, but it is totally inappropriate for this site period to be told how and what to do by one individual. We are all gathered here for the love not only of Zenyatta, but greater..for the love she brought out in each one of us! We don’t need pictures and photos and websites..she brought out a true fellowship and community. Thank you Dottie for the everything you do! Great or Small!
Brenda S.
Lil from Ky: RIGHT ON!! Couldnt say it better myself. The nerve.
Kathryn Cogswell
Let me ask, please, those we care for here — and that means us — what we would do if we found out any member of Zenyatta`s immediate folklore family was in danger by illness or weather crisis, or poor care, or malice . .. we would close ranks, circle the wagons and reconsider just where we stand in relation to her, her loved ones, and one another. No doubt, here would be a remembrance of Barbara Wood, ever gracious, offering a compliment to someone rarely comfortable on a public forum. There would be awe and respect and gratitude for someone with the grit to seek out and save the obscure remains of a great horse brought nearly to oblivion by the press of ‘progress.’ And Charlotte Farmer heard the dream of someone to include Kathy Kimber on the trip bringing Noor to Kentucky. In Ky. is Lil, appreciating the best that has already been done by those responsible for ‘Z`s’ past, present and future care. ~ Who or what benefits by our schisms and loss of focus? We have made declarations to help widen the stance of entities that care for the future of America`s and the world`s horses and ‘other living things.’ We are on record together, to stand, to face down ignorance and brutal practices, avaricious gains at the cost of these creatures` well-being. We are on record to appreciate the way Zenyatta`s house resonates good vibes into life. ~ Lincoln quoted old script to the effect that ‘a house divided against itself cannot stand.’ Whatever has caused this friction, it is incomprehensible that it is of more importance than the work we shoulder when we learn of wrong or harm done to Zenny`s ‘cousins,’ and the creatures great & small we may bring to safety by our mutual efforts. Just to get along with the work at hand, is the true challenge. There is so much to do.
Kate Wheeler
@ALL: Kathryn Cogswell has said it so eloquently. A loss of any one of you and what you bring to this site will diminish us all. Please continue to bring the treasures of your knowledge and interests. After all, we are all here inspired by Zenyatta and our love for her. The more that we can learn and share about her, every morsel cherished, as well as the more that we can learn from and share with each other, we honor Zenyatta and she remains vibrant among us. This is our shared goal. We may divide ourselves into historians of everything Zenyatta and activists inspired by the example of her connections, but that is all that should divide us. Every single one of us is here because of the spark she lit in us all.
Barbara Wood
@ALL– good morning! I want to express my sincere thanks to you Dumplings for your kind and thoughtful words. I would never in a million years knowingly want to say anything that would dishonor Zenny or this marvelous website. This is a precious part of my day, and I conseider it a true blessing. We have a very small family (just us and a daughter), so my friends here are doubly meaningful to me. And the fact that we’re here because of Z. is simply icicng on the cake.
IF I get out of line, I expect you to hold me to account and slap my hands, much like the soon-to-be widow in Terry Crow’s joke.LOL!
This morning, I am so thankful for the healing rain that come down last night. We literally went outside, held up our arms, and felt it fall on our faces. It felt like manna from heaven.
Eagerly awaiuting Z’s new post for the day. Talk to you later.
Hugs.

@Eveline-I was so fortunate to be at the Quarter Horse Congress to see Stacy go on to win the Freestyle Reining event. She is absolutely amazing- to ride without a saddle or bridle & do the sliding stops, lead changes, spins etc. How she stays on is another thing. Last year, the Quarter Horse Congress was streamed live over the internet, so I was able to watch many of the classes. Hopefully, it will be again this year so people can watch everything from barrel racing, jumping, pleasure classes to the freestyle reining.
Arlene
Good morning Zenny and all.
@Marshall (girl’s name): RIGHT ON ! This is not a place to argue, but express love, grace and thankfulness. Thank you. God bless you.
@DJ : Welcome back.

Good morning Zetty,
all bright eyed and high-tailed, with a wheehee for this and that, are ya? Haha
It looks like your sport from the past might be past according to the
http://www.drf.com/news/jockey-club-will-fund-new-national-TV-series-focusing-on-racing
maybe it will give those who are looking to your site for athg else besides Zenyatta another choice.
To Charlotte Farmer
When I read your posts, I sense wounded.
I don’t mean to be unduly forward but may be this site is not at the core of your troubles but you’re using it to express yourself. I have also noticed that people’s acceptance of one’s opinion/or dialogue comes with agreement, when there is disagreement than it’s considered combative. Such is human nature, very few people are open to different points of view.
Whatever is going to happen with this site, it’s not for us to direct, that decision is up to Zenyatta’s inner circle of people.
Too bad, people can’t be horses, huh, Zetty?
Have a great day!!!

Ms Zenyatta, good morning to you and our little one. Hoping for some news, pictures, and if you had any other visitors lately. Meanwhile, your Lords and Ladies, my Queen, have a jokster in Your World, we’ve morning and evening prayers, we have wonderful people that attach links of important racing news for us to catch up on, we have built strong and amazing friendships, we’ve started a gang (Z Dumplingz), and so much more…If it not for you, we all would not have the love and friendships we now have. I will never forget JO Tobin, he was a great racehorse of the 70’s, quite underrated..however, he was not as You or Secretariat…but he will NEVER be FORGOTTEN. There are so many people that love you so much…You Will Live Forgever and so will Your World….I love you, darlin’, Big, Beautiful..Queen.

@Eveline: Happy Birthday a few days early! Would love to hear your Zenyatta story, if you have the time to share. Birthday blessings.

@Lisa g–so true. I can’t believe I just yesterday figured out what DEE stands for–I must have missed the original mention of “Dumpling Equine Enterprises”—too cute!

P.S.
Ha, I just came across some more Zenyatta moments by the Kennedys;
one more thing to be delighted by you.
YOU show respect for the Opossum.
Too funny. They, the opossums really are no threat, they just want to find sthg to eat and move on. They are the true midnight ramblers. The one you saw must have gotten stirred up, they don’t move around during day-light at all.
Thanks Kennedys for the Z-bits. :) :) :)

Good morning Sweet “Z” and little “z,”
