Dear Friends,
I hope all of you are doing well!
I have been blessed to have so many wonderful FANS in my life. I truly appreciate ALL OF YOU. I’d like you to meet my newest fan…one I have never met before in person. He is Karol Ballard’s dog, LEX.
In a video segment we showed months ago on how NINA (equine sculptor) took all of my measurements in detail to be sure she could reproduce my image to perfection…Karol is the woman who was working with her. This is her dog meeting ME!
To quote Nina, “Lex is paying homage to ST. ZENYATTA, as we call her!” How cute is this!
LEX is bowing down to really get a good look at ME! In my personal opinion, I think he also wants to PLAY!
With love,
Hugs to ALL~

Love the photo! Lexi looks like a Border Collie- they are just so sweet and playful. My German Shepherd was taking classes with Border Collies and other “herding” dogs. They are just incredible to watch. They love their job and live to please. He looks to be in a “play mode” or for sure bowing to the Queen’s likeness. I watched the “measuring video”. Laughed and cried at the same time. Thanks for this wonderful post this morning. Have a great day everyone and stay HYDRATED ZENNY GIRL.

Z –
Hope all is well with you. That picture is, as you always say, “TOO CUTE.” How are you holding up in this heat? Luckily in Seattle we miss those astronomical temperatures! So a really hot day is 80 degrees! Have a good day.

Dear DJ:
Thank you. Another beautiful prayer. Hugs, J.B.

@Gary Moulton. You really have this down pat. Really great idea about microchipping a few horses and tracking them. I wonder if the State of West Virginia has any laws relating to the sale of horses for slaughter. Perhaps the WV Dept of Agriculture would be interested? Right now, I think each state’s congressmen/women are so involved in the whole debt ceiling thing, even though a bill has been signed, that it would probably be pretty difficult to get them to pay attention. As I understand it, just about all of the country’s citizens are still bombarding their congress rep’s with phone calls and e-mails because they know that just because a bill has been signed, it’s not over by a long shot. I wonder if the ASPCA could be approached about doing a commercial about this heinous practice. Finding a way to get news to the “average” citizen that doesn’t follow this website or read horse related publications would be the best way to get attention. So many of these people really care and would be appalled by this practice if they knew about it. A lot to think about here, but I think you’ve made a really positive start. Hats Off!
Especially Horses
How adorable! Just makes me want to go play with my doggie Archie. Hmmm, I think I will.

To Gary M:
………….
Z: “Neighhhh”, smile, munch, munch, head bow..(swallowing before she speaks with mouth empty, never full).
DJ: “You want me to remind our Gary about “ROUSING SERMON” with Rosario? Just in case? Alright, will do St. Z.
Z: Flashing big smile, “Whinney” (flicks head back and digs…grabs carrots, drops the tops perfectly into the garbage bag!
DJ: “Alright, will do! What else?”
Z: Sticks tongue out!!
DJ: Big hug, “Love you Z! Thanks!”
DJ
To JB: Your welcome! Hugs for a beautiful Today :)

Ok,On October 28, 2008 enacted an anti slaughter policy. All MAgna tracks are anti slaughter. The Racing Director is Rose Mary Williams, so hit her with emails or phone calls. It’s a small start but a start.. Magna said any trainer found to be selling horses for slaughter would be banned from racing at all their tracks. Time to make them eat their words.
See article in thoroughbred Times dated November 03, 2008. Oh by teh way to bill to stop horses being shipped across teh border was filed on June 9th. Right now they have 14 other senators who sponsered the bill with them.. So we have to make sure there is a majority vote, at least 60 on board. It is Senate Bill 1176, American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act.
Love ya Z.

@ Gary
Calm down now, don’t go doing something stupid. We could raise enough to bail you out if the offense allows for bail.LOL I may contact Jeff Seigel, I have talked to him on many occasions, why not,at HRTV and let him know this story. HRTV will be there for the Derby SAturday night. You just never know. When I retire this will be my cause full time . I am tenacious, never give up. Once I am mad, watch out.
Calmly, Love ya Z.

SOOOO CUTE!!! XOXOXO to you Beautiful girl!

@Gary Moulton
You know that a trainer at Mountaineer sent a horse to slaughter a week or so ago? It was all over ABR. I think Mountaineer is one of those tracks that has no slaughter policy. Would be nice to see what happens…
.
For Z–love the photo. But then I would be a lot of us feel the same as Lex and would love to play with you and just be in your presence.
.
For Dottie and Team Z–thank you a kazillion times for this site. For allowing us to follow on with Z. Something that is mostly unheard of when it comes to mares. You truly are setting the standard high for others to reach too.
.
LEF thank you for taking such great care of Z. That may be your paycheck and all but its the little things you do each day for the horses that make life so much better for them. A pet, a kind word, Z’s fly mask–stuff like that. Those are things that set you apart. Keep up the great work!

Good Day to you Precious Zenny. What an adorable Pic. Too Cute!! I always knew that you were an Angel from heaven and now a Saint. Just fitting for such a remarkable soul. Love YOU XXXOOO

Dearest Z,
Lex looks to be a Border Collie and they are considered the smartest dogs, so I think he knows who he’s dealing with!
Hope you are having a wonderfully blissful day in the blue grass!

That is my second favorite photo, ranking only behind the one in which Mrs. Moss is having a private moment at LE with Zenyatta. @Joan-Right on. @Kari Bussell-Trina N has a very pleasant voice. @Karen Wheeler, Sunny Boyd and Gary Moulton-Glad you enjoyed the joke. @Gary Moulton-You are once again showing your expertise. The chips are a great idea. @Barbara Grimaldi-Some senior citizen song titles to use at the parties in the community-I get by with a little help from Depends; Mrs. Brown, you’ve got a lovely walker; and How do you mend a broken hip?. Today’s joke–Two elderly women were driving in a large car. Both could barely see over the dashboard. As they were cruising along, they came to an intersection. The stoplight was red, but they just went on through. The woman in the passenger seat thought to herself, “I must be losing it. I could have sworn we just went through a red light.” After a few more minutes, they came to another intersection, and the light was red again. They went right through it. This time, the woman in the passenger seat was almost sure that the light has been red and was really concerned that she was losing it. She was getting nervous and decided to pay very close attention to the road and the next intersection to see what was going on. At the next intersection, the light was definitely red, and sure enough they went right through again. she turned to the other woman and said “Mildred, Did you know we just ran through three red lights in a row? you clould have killed us.” Mildred turned to her and said “Oh, my, am I driving?”

Hi Zenny, I hope you and TT are staying cool in this heat. I am still up in the clouds after my visit with you.
I had the time of my life and want to thank you again for the visit. I gave my mom my allowance money so she could send you some more pears as I know how much you loved them. Now I will work on my mom to see if we could get one of your beautiful statues if there are any left!! I love you!! :)
LauraJ
@Wendy in St. Louis, the bronze is available. Several posters have bought one, and Dawn Conrad won #19. Be advised, though, that it is expensive–over $1000.

All hail the Queen.

I posted this site to my Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/LexWoofer, to introduce MY fans to our St. Zenyatta and spread the joy! Hope to meet the real Zenyatta someday (darn, I had my chance when she was at Santa Anita!), as well as the dynamic duo of Dottie & John! Licks and luck to my Queen Zenyatta! Love & Light, Lex
