Good Morning,
July 14th is a very special day for a member of MY TEAM! It is my dear owner, Ann’s birthday!
At this time, I would like to send her a spectacular HIGH HOOF wishing her countless blessings. I have already sent her a personal birthday greeting…but I also wanted to send her one more BIG HUG…not just from ME…but from ALL OF HER DUMPLINGS!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANN!
WE LOVE YOU!
I must say, I absolutely LOVE this photo of Ann and Jerry. They collect all of the saddle towels from the STAKES RACES their horses WIN! John took this picture of them in front of MY 2 VICTORIOUS BREEDERS’ CUP saddle towels. I was post #1 when I won the 2008 Ladies Classic…and #4 when I won the 2009 CLASSIC! How special is this!
Here’s hoping it is a GREAT DAY…and in one way or another…you are also able to celebrate a TREASURED and FUN moment with someone who is dear to you in your life!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

@Charlotte Farmer: Had to be Rita Hayworth she married the Aga Khan.
@Terry Crow: Keep them coming because if I don’t get back at night I do the next morning and a joke is a great way to start the day. Especially yours they are funny but sweet.
@Abigail Anderson: What can I say he is a hunk. Great Eye candy.

Hi Big Mama, hope Anne (and I call her that because I feel I know her) has a wonderful birthday! I hope she reads these messages because I want to thank her for recognizing and sharing her special, special horse with all of us. Not many would do that, most owners have kept their mares secreted away somewhere. Thank you Anne for letting us all share our love for her and your whole racing family. Luv and kisses on your nose
Cheryl
Happy Birthday to the fantastic Anne Moss!! I really admire her and all that she has done for horses and people. A great lady!

Hi again everyone. A reader came to THE VAULT & read the article on “my girl” Terlingua. Then Terri Zeltz dropped me a line to say that Sassy Image was a descendant through Hennessey of Terlingua’s. I went off to YouTube to watch her take the 2011 Princess Rooney with our Mikey aboard in what is undoubtedly a Zenyatta-like move. However, as Terri Z. pointed out, this race was a sprint! (Apologies if this has already been posted earlier.) I vaguely remember reading that Mike said “I was told to ride her like I did Zenyatta…” BOY DID HE EVER!!!

@Charlotte Farmer-Never would have guessed that one. I only said Greer Garson because she was involved in horse racing after she left the silver screen. @Arapahoe Park Robin-Very well put. Your description of Zenyatta is right on.@DMCQ-Welcome aboard. @DJ-I am grateful for your prayers. I can certainly use them.@Judy Berube, Kathy Kimber and Marshall–Thank you. Today’s joke, although it is sort of a groaner–Most of the locals here know that opening day at Santa Anita is the day after Christmas. A jockey was riding the favorite in the fourth race on opening day. The horse he was riding was in the lead when the jock was hit in the head by a turkey and a string of sausages. He manages to keep control of his horse and once again resumes the lead. He is then hit by a box of Christmas cookies. Again, he manages to get back in the lead nearing the wire. At that instant, he is hit in the head by a ham. This time he is only able to recover enough to finish second. He immediately gets off his horse and goes straight to the stewards to complain that he has been seriously hampered.

@ALL: Important quick post on the run. Our Judy (Maas) Gadwood/JAG asks for your prayers, candles, and uplifting thoughts for her sister Mary Rico. Judy is enroute to Utah to be at her sister’s side in ICU. Situation is critical. No further details at this time. She has asked me to post. Sorry if others may already have – I haven’t had time to read.

@Terry Crow. I just learned a very important lesson when I read your joke today – never, never groan and laugh at the same time – it will give you hiccups.

Dear Zenyatta. What a beautiful day today. I hope you and the girls are out in that sunshine. I am going to fulfill one of my dreams. I am leaving for Kentucky today. I have always wanted to see that beautiful state. I am so very excited. I can’t wait to see all things horsey. I know I won’t get to see you but I will be so close. I hope you can feel all of my love floating over to you. I love you sweet mama. Have a good day with your BBF. Many Hugs and Many Kisses, Shari
PS I wish I could be taking my Homeroom. I know they would love it :)
@ Susan in Tn it was so good to hear your beautiful voice. Please take care of yourself. I will call you when I get home.
@ I am praying for Mary Rico. May God be with her and her family.

For those who would like to pray a Morning Prayer:
…………………………………
Almighty God,
Eternal Glory of the sky,
Blest hope of frail humanity,
Uplift us with thine arm of might,
And let our hearts rise pure and bright,
With ardent praises, may we pay
The thanks we owe Thou every day.
Enlighten our minds with the splendor of
Your Creation and help us to imitate Your
ardent love for one another and all Creatures.

Dearest Sweet “Z” and little “z”,
I am off for the day early so will miss your new hoof-print for now. Enjoy today with your new little life in you, growing every stronger and more beautiful! Just like Y.O.U.

To JAG: Praying in a special way for you and yours..
To Charlotte F: Have you by chance, heard of a horse named Norcatur 17855. Walnut Park Farm, St. Joseph MO. This is the information on the brass plaque of this very old and beautifully framed black and white photo of this horse. It was left by my Father in law who was born in 1906. He had a great collection of antiques and oddities. Would appreciate your expertise :)
……………………………………
To Terry C: Oh Fruitcake!! At least he made it safely before the utensils were being ‘served!’ Thank you :)

Thanking Trina Nagale now, again.

@DMCQ: Was hoping to post light-hearted stuff on a new Post 298, but since it hasn’t hit yet, I wanted to get back to you. If you read @Kathryn Cogswell’s beautiful post above you will know: We are ALL Dumplings – no dues required other than posting here. If you don’t want to be a Dumpling, and you’ve posted – oops, too bad, the group has sucked you in and there’s no way out! It’s kinda like Hotel California :-)Yes there is a lot of love, hugs, information, and joy – but also an occasional family fight, and sadness, and tragedy. Through it all, we lift each other and motor on. Welcome!
Email your particulars to diastu46@gmail.com for your name tag. So far the requests are manageable – but if all 89000 people on FB get wind of this, I’m sunk! Yikes!
