Well, Hello Everyone!
I know it is Sunday and I hope you are all having a relaxing day. I am. I just wanted to share with you a YOUTUBE Sarah did of me. I’m really stretching my legs out in the snow and starting to feel wonderfully comfortable in my new paddock. She has it set to music. Be sure to notice my marvelous dance steps! I’m still being hand-walked…as it is chilly and they do not want me to do too much…like ‘take off’ and slide in the snow. I am having GREAT FUN!
I am also nice and cozy with my friends in the barn when it is too chilly or rainy outside. My racing plates were removed on Thursday. My feet feel fabulous!
Keeneland sent me a large gift bucket of carrots and mints. How generous of them! There is enough here for everyone in my barn. We are one very happy group!
I also have 2 other people at the barn who work with me. I’d like to introduce you to them…Craig and Gieremo. So, lucky me…5 wonderful people here looking after me every single day. Charles, Todd and Andy send their regards to all of you as well.
David stops by quite often. He called Dottie yesterday afternoon while he was here petting me. He just sent the Moss’ a text update. It is wonderful that we are ALL able to keep in touch so often. (Gotta’ love all of this modern technology!) John is now home in CA with all of my other Barn 55 Friends…but we are keeping in close contact. He knows what I am doing every single moment and shares the updates with Mario, Steve, Carmen and his entire crew! He played the video for them at the barn….and they all loved it! My dancing is still such a BIG HIT with everyone! I guess it all started with my rather musical name…ZENYATTA! When spoken out loud, it really has quite a nice rhythm to it!
Enjoy your day!
With love,
Hugs~

Zenyatta the guys will be hand walking you a bit longer because nasty weather is coming in. No one wants you to get hurt! The first time they take your leadshank off and back up it is going to be a minute before you realize you can GO. I wish I could be there that day along the fence to watch and help make sure you don’t get hurt. The really fun time you will have next will be when you can go out with one of your girlfriends. You just be careful dear girl. Lots of love from all. Secsea Dance, Salawgi, Simon and Picasso. Hugz

Queen Zenyatta, Everybody loves you. So hard to think of your racing plates being removed. You are such a great runner. Glad that your feet feel better.
You are the Dancing Queen! We love to see you dance. Just wait untill you hear the bluegrass music. Great to dance to.
Love and hugs!
Mary McQuire
I can’t wait to hear about your first time “free” in the paddock.
Trish & Mike in Colorado
We honored you fondly today, Zenyatta . . . played “Thanks for the Memories” and remembered last Sunday when you paraded at Hollywood and we saw you from Whittingham’s . . .

Love the updates – but we need pictures!! Can’t get enough of just watching her. Just put my crew in the barn out of the wind and cold, cold – glad you’re warm and well cared for.

Thanks for taking the time to let us all know how you’re doing! So glad you’re again surrounded by friends that love you! My in-laws live just a couple of hours away from your new home, which means I’ll come visit you whenever I’m allowed! In the meantime, sending lots of love and hugs from Maryland!

Glad you had a good Sunday Z! It will be great when you can run and play. Before you know it you’ll be doing that. These updates are so wonderful, thank you! Love you Z.

We sure miss you out here in Calif. Racing isn’t the same without you and your dancing. However, I’m glad you retired on top of your game and in great shape! Enjoy your new home and take it easy in the snow.

Nothing like having your shoes taken off after a while. I’ll bet your feet feel so goooood……Love you, Zenyatta.

Gee it’s to bad the weather is holding Zen back from getting out and doing her thing. She’s either been in training or racing all these past years and she’s used to getting out there and running. I know before she left John’s barn he was having her do light jogging because he said she’d break the barn down if she couldn’t get moving. We don’t want her to hurt herself in Kentucky but she really must be missing her daily jogs. All that energy ready to fire. I hope they do a video of her first day out so we can watch her move. She’s just going to love it and it will be such a joy to see!!

Hi Z… Your diary post has become a wonderful addition to our day. I like reading it out loud to my friend Victoria(in what I think would be your voice) and it makes us so happy.
Thank you for doing them. We really enjoy keeping up with your “doings”. Be safe, be happy and be well. Love T. & V.

Wow, your clothes budget probably dramatically went down now that you do not have a “shoe” purchases.

Zen just wondering about your boy friend and the coming baby, perhaps—A P ZENDY.

Happy Sunday, Z! Very nice of Keeneland to send bunches of carrots and mints for you and your new friends. Five Gentlemen taking care of your needs. What a Court you have there your Highness. So glad that John is in such close contact with you and your new peeps. Yes, technology is wonderful. Two hoofs up for David texting for you ’cause using the computer must be tough for you, but those little bitty keys on a cell phone would be impossible….unless he gets you an iPhone then you can “touch” the screen with your tongue. Too messy. Your fans are still grateful for all your posts.
Sondre
Glad you have your snug, warm barn Z – we had 6 inches of rain in the last 24 hours here in Puget Sound (WA state). As a former West Coastie you’ve heard of the Pineapple Express. Hopefully, will roll back out by Wed. Glad your feet are more comfy without your racing plates but just keep those dancin’ shoes on. (-: Thanks for introducing your new LE friends – love getting to know them like we did your CA Barn 55 friends. You are truly the Bon Vivant of the horse world – love it! Sunday hugs, Z!

It seems like yesterday that you arrived in KY. Now you are headed into your second week at Lanes End. I am happy to see they all love you there, as they should. You are a very special lady who is becoming more famous than the stallions that are standing there. What do you think of that?
Take care of yourself…

I’m so glad to read your posts and know that you are enjoying your new home, but obviously I am missing something here Zenyatta. WHERE are these photos and videos that you and others have mentioned? I can’t find them on your website. Are they on Facebook? I am not “on Facebook” but maybe I will have to break down and join if that is the only way to see any pictures. Please let me know. Your friend in Ohio.
Stephanie Lambert
You ARE so musical baby girl, I love you always xoxoxo
Peggy
Love you Zenatta. I hope so hard that you are bred to A.P.Indy. I have visited with him twice and he is such a nice horse with a great personality like you. On my second time visit with him he seemed to remember me. I call him my buddy. You should go to the best family and that in my opinion is Indy’s. Just think Seattle Slew and Secretariat, oh wow. ( You belong in that family) I don’t think there will ever be another Secretariat, because I believe he was just a gift from God for us to love. My only other choice for you to be bred to would be Storm Cat, but we know he’s not avalable. I loved his mom Terlingua.too. Your the best Zen, Love you Peggy Oh there is another horse that has a great personality, maybe in a couple of years think about him. It’s Point Given, love him too.
Joan
Dear Zenyatta, I’m so happy you are happy and still dancing. I love your dance moves. I’m 7 hours north of you and it’s very cold here so I hope you are nice and snug in your barn with your friends. It won’t be long until it will be safe for you to enjoy yourself outside in your paddock. Like Peggy, I hope you get a date with A.P. Indy, too, and for the same reasons. And Point Given is a huge favorite of mine, too.
