Happy Thursday,
The weather is continuing to be very pleasant here in Lexington. I am outside quite a bit these days with my pal, Tasty Temptation. We are having such a great time together and are both doing very well.
As a matter of fact, David stopped by to visit last night when leaving the office, and called Dottie and John to tell them how AMAZING I LOOK! Blush, Blush! He said my friend, TT, also looked wonderful!
One of the visitors that accompanied Jim Rome to see ME on Friday was Rex Chapman. Rex is from Kentucky and played basketball for UK as well as in the PROS. It was so much fun to visit with these guys as I really do love all sports. Being that both Rex and I are professional athletes, we have a great deal in common.
What is truly adorable…is the photo above! Rex and Jim are taking a picture of ME while Sarah is taking a picture of them. They are in their ‘let’s get a terrific photo of Z poses’. Gotta’ love this!
I would imagine, this is something which happens much more than one would think when people are taking pictures. I used to see this all of the time when I was at BARN 55. The fans would be taking pictures of ME…and MY JOHN ultimately has lots of pictures of them all taking MY picture. It just kind of happens!
As a matter of fact, the other afternoon Dottie was at BARN 55 and she noticed my little sister, Eblouissante, doing something in her stall which reminded her so much of ME! (I guess ‘E’ and I do have several mannerisms which are very similar.) In this particular instance, ‘E’ was resting her head on top of the haynet and looking around the barn watching everything going on. I used to do this, too, all of the time. In truth, I never wanted to miss a thing!
Well, at that moment, the same type of thing happened. MY JOHN captured the photo of Dottie taking a picture of “E”….just like Sarah did with Rex, Jim and ME!
So many things that happen like this just make ME smile. I would imagine if you look through your family albums and photos, you’d have several of these types of shots as well. People can be TOO CUTE in so many ways!
I hope you enjoy the photos of my pals, Jim and Rex, ME, my adorable fans,
and my darling 2 year old sister, ‘E’.
With Love,
Hugs to All~(Have a FUN DAY…and SMILE!)

@Kari Bussell-If these jokes are bringing a smile to your face in light of all you have been through, it is all worthwhile. @DJ-You have me laughing with the tongue comments. I will have to buy a drum and practice my rim shots.
DJ
To Ana: Have you heard of Dr. Doolittle? We are blessed to have our own female version.. Dr. Dottie! Blessings to you for a beautiful Thursday.

Hey, Z. Love the pictures of the pictures of the pictures. LOL. Particularly love the one of Ebby carrying on the great tradition of “hay gazing”, i.e., resting one’s head on the hay while gazing down the barn to make sure one doesn’t miss 1 thing. You bo, Ebby, we love you, too!

What wonderful photos! Thanks so much for
the fun post today. Beautiful day here in
SoCal and I wish I was at Hollywood Park.
Continued peace, love and blessings to you
Zenny and all in the Land of Zenyatta. ;)
Kathy from SoCal xoxoxo
p.s. Kari Bussell, your move is going to
go just fine and remember “This too shall
pass”. :)
And I think ANA needs to take a nap and
just get over it!

@Barb F.
How exciting that is – yes, keep photos in your car!
DJ
To Terry C: Thanks! Just tongue-in-cheek…

Hi, Zenny! I’m a huge fan of yours — thank you for all the photos and updates! I recently purchased an off the track Thoroughbred in wretched shape. He’s got a blog now, too, documenting his recovery and eventually his retraining! I thought you might be interested. You had a wonderful life and career on the track, and I think a lot of mainstream fans might not know what can happen to a horse that doesn’t run fast enough or try hard enough.
Polo’s blog is http://polotheanonymoushorse.blogspot.com
Lots of love to you and baby Zenny!

@DJ
OH, ANOTHER BIGGER TOUCHE’ COMING YOUR WAY! TOO CUTE!

Thanks for today’s post and updates on you and your extended family! Love all the pictures. It was so great to have been so close to Zenyatta when she walked in the paddocks before her races and watching her workouts. I feel so privileged to have seen her in person. She is a Wonder of the World. There is a nice video of Sea the Stars on Bloodhose. They have beautiful farms in Ireland for sure. Enjoy our nation’s birthday celebration – hopefully without too much noise – ask for some cotton! Love to all

I just wanted to share a heartwarming story. God bless him and his desire to still win! Love the geldidngs… :-D
“THE TATLING showed the fire still burns in his belly as the 14-year-old former Royal Ascot winner charged home under jockey Hayley Turner to win on his 170th start at Yarmouth on Thursday.”

@DJ-Stop it, you’re killing me.

To Terry C: Okay, Okay..I accept the tongue-lashing! I’ll go run my errands :)

Here is my picture of Zenyatta having her picture taken by Barbara Livingston, taken a day or so before the Apple Blossom at Oaklawn in 2010. “Your John” is even in this picture, and you can see Mario’s hand under her head and someone else (Frank, I think) behind her.

I loved seeing Zenyatta under those beautiful trees.

Picture posted on Z fb of 100’s taking her photo in the paddock before race #19. Look at balcony behind trees, also packed. Like John, I actually took the photo of all the people taking photo’s! Look out, now I’ve figured out how to post photo’s, we could be in trouble. DJ, still laughing, that was a good one.

@ Hello RACHAEL! Thank you for what you are doing for Polo. You have a big heart. It takes courage to accept this responsiblity. My heart goes out to others who have not found a home and a new mom. Blessings to you and Polo. Marilu

@Judy Maass Gadwood-Thanks for the link to The Gatling. What a marvelous story and I am sure he appreciated the gentle handling he received from his female jockey. From her quotes in the article, she is a first class person along with being a top rider.

Dear Zenny – Thank you for sending such beautiful pictures. It would be such an honor and privilege to meet you and have my picture taken with you. If you ever have a Meet Zenyatta contest, please enter my name one million times. Have a blessed day beautiful girl. Say hi to Dottie. Hugs and kisses.

E–you are adorable!
I can see there is a new disease appearing that the CDC might want to investigate. It is “Zenyatta website addiction”. I, along with many, am hopelessly afflicted. LOL!
@Lil in KY–with all you’re going through, I hope you have a wonderful time at Old Friends. Please give us a full report (you will fall in love with Little Silver Charm!), as well as updates on you and yours.
@Kari B–in honor of “moving day”, I’m going to watch some of your videos now.
Rosanne Glynn

Dottie I can’t thank you enough for continuing to share The Queen’s daily existence & such wonderful pictures everyday with us. These are still the highlight of my day. Z are truely one of a kind. Hugs to all.
Dawn Conrad
Dearest, Zenyatta. I am loving all of these pictures of you, Zenny!!! Thank you and Sarah for sharing them each day. TOO FUN, seeing Jim and Rex snapping away. Of course they want to mark such a special occassion with a photograph. It isn’t everyday you get to meet the Queen!! Just look at all of those cameras pointed in your direction at Barn 55, you were the center of attention, gorgeous. Pictures give us such an immediate connection to wonderful memories. We can hold loved ones near even when they are far away. Just like Team Z does with you, Zenny. I am like your John, I love pulling out the camera and taking pictures. When I get a particularly special one, it makes me very happy. And what better subjects could John have had than you, Dottie and Ebby. Just beautiful! So, glad David stopped by to say hello. I am sure your family members in California love hearing about how well you are doing and how terrific you look. Guess I better head back to work, Zenny. Talk to you again soon. Sweet dreams. Hugs and kissed. XXXOOO
@Judy Gadwood – How wonderful for you to have such amazing memories of your time with Zenyatta. Definitely once in a lifetime!
@JSmith – Thank you for your comments concerning this site. They were very well put and I agree whole heartedly!!!!
@Barb France – Congrats on your new license plate.
@DJ – Hi!!! Loved your Dr. Dottie!
Lisa g
@Janie: Amen to that, my canine baby girl, Lucy, talks to me all the time. Sometimes a little bit too much, she is a very independent woman.
@Mary M Meek: Thank you for sharing, love the pics…cannot get enough of our Queen.

No such thing as too many photos of Zenyatta! Gotta love it that when you look at the fans who are watching her, everyone is smiling (or crying with appreciation). Madame Queen is a SOURCE OF JOY.
@ Barb F — I want to copy your licence plate here in MA. And the photo album is a great idea.
@ DJ — giving OUR DOTTIE the title Dr. Dottie is brilliant!
@ ANA — please get up on the other side of the bed tomorrow so that you are able to recognize the spirit of friendship and appreciation for Zenyatta, her connections and the world of thoroughbred racing that permeates these pages.

@ Ana – Weren’t you ever taught that if you don’t have anything good to say, then SAY NOTHING!!! Those of us who post on this site do so because we love Zenyatta, we are all friends with a common interest so perhaps you should go post your sour remarks someplace else.
Nancy Bickford
Z – still waiting to hear when we might be able to come visit you. I’ve never seen you in person and can hardly wait to see you hopefully soon!

Zenyatta,
You look awesome as usual… Your sis E looks very curious and happy. :) Stay healthy Big Mama……
