Good Morning,
I wanted to give you an update on HOW I AM DOING! I am eating very well…no surprise there…and enjoying myself tremendously. My number of treats is being monitored (as it should be) and I am drinking lots of water each day and nothing else.
As you can see, I do have a bit of a BABY BUMP. I am HAPPILY gaining a few pounds…right in the middle. As many of you may know from your own personal experiences, this is what happens when you are having a baby!
In the responses, many of you have asked about my actual breeding date. It was on April 3rd. Time is flying by so quickly. Another fun fact to note is that my paddock pal, Tasty Temptation, was also bred on the very same day. She was bred to Candy Ride and is also in foal.
Thus, Tasty T. and I have a great deal in common. We are both experiencing the exact same stages of our pregnancies together.
In looking at this photo, the clouds look amazing in the background. The sky is gorgeous…and the Kentucky Blue Grass is so lush. My friend, Matt, also looks good! He is so sweet and I so appreciate the fact that he will spend the one-to-one time grazing me like this!
As for ME, I think I look pretty terrific in this picture! (Blush, Blush) My coat looks fabulous, my dapples are glowing and I do think my overall appearance is TOO CUTE!
I’ll keep you posted and updated on what I’m doing as we go along. I’m still very busy with my friends and all of my charity work! The other day Lane’s End told ME that I recently raised $8,500 for a charity named RIDING FOR HOPE. ($2,500 for one of my halters and $6,000 for a visit with ME!)
This organization is one that “is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the health of children and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs through therapeutic activities with the horse”. **
I am so grateful to be able to HELP!
This concept of further developing your life in the midst of having a second career, in my case…having a baby, is quite gratifying! I am really trying to use my time wisely to help others and to do my very best to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z

Zenny, you look great as usual. If Matt ever gets tired holding that lead I can easily step in for him. After all, I’m only a plane ride away. ;-) Thank you for the update on your pregnancy. Calendars across the globe will be marked in anticipation of the big day. You will be an excellent mom, that’s for certain. Please tell Sarah that she takes excellent pictures…I appreciate every one of them.

Zenyatta, you look great! Dottie, thank you for all you do.

Love the pic today – of course you can not take a bad picture even after rolling in mud you’re still beautiful! So glad that you raised money for this charity – I know first hand about the positive effect that horses can have on troubled/disabled children. I worked with our high school and arranged for 2 students with emotional problems to work with my horses 3 mornings each week. It was wonderful to watch them get comfortable with each horse as they groomed and worked with them. It also enabled them to open up and talk about many of their problems. Among other positive benefits, it improved their school attendance. You and your team just keep giving back! (thanks Dottie and Sarah for providing us with beautiful photos.)
@Kari Bussell so sorry for your present dilemma. Maybe you can find someone to keep your piano until you are in a larger home. I also play and know how I would feel if I had to give mine up. Sending good thoughts your way.
Maggie
You look supercalafraglistickexpaldous. In simple words. GREAT. Love you Hug & kisses.

Dearest Z—That’s wonderful that you are continuing your charity work, and therapeutic riding is such a great thing. Kudos to you and Team Z.
@Kari Bussell-—I hope all goes well for you in your transition to a new home and that you will call on Zenny’s strength to help you fight the insurance company to get payment on your claim. As to the piano, if you don’t have room for it and prefer not to put it in storage, maybe you could loan or lease it to someone until you have another home with space enough. And all of us on this site say THANK YOU to YOU for transmitting the JOY of Zenyatta to us in all your exquisite videos and posts. Prayers for you always.
@JSmith—Loved Hay List on the track (gallantly trying to hold off Black Caviar) and in the photos at the beach that you linked to. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery from the injury and infection.
@Cynthia H—What a beautiful comment about the past racing weekend for “Mossies,” human and equine (nice coinage!). And your tribute to Kari Bussell (who certainly deserves every word!)—WOW! A high hoof to you, and may you also be blessed with the best of the very best luck you wished us all! I hope to meet you some day.
@Kathy Beyers—Best wishes for you and your new puppy. What kind is she? And condolences on the passing of your senior-citizen canine (what kind?).
@Terry Crow—I think DJ meant the I-5 (Interstate 5). You two make a great tag team.

Dear Zenny,
Lanes End is a very premier place for you to be in so many aspects. March 29 uterus empty; April 3 bred (5 days later) bred and now in foal. Boy some real awesome MAGIC !!!! (cutting edge work in the breeding field I bet). You look so good. And your new friend is very cute. I guess they pair mares by the days they are bred so they get to know each other have their foals at the same time and enjoy their pasture with their foals together.
@ Judy B
Love that B Livingston tribute; and Shakeford back in training he is the “cutest” on the track, head down and all business, kind of reminds me of AP Indy’s style. Dug in and going …
Oh No!!! Treasure Beach, what will she be entered in??? Some stiff competition. Canford Cliffs??? the Classic???? Oh No !!!!
US Colts/fillies/Mares will step up to the plate !!!!!
@ Sue Fredrick
Sooo lucky to have gotten close up to AP Indy and to kiss that beautiful white marked muzzel. He is so awesome. Hope I can get to Lanes end to see him soon. He was a very true TC contender, too bad he missed the Derby.

Dear Kathy Kimber:
Just read your post. No doubt, we would have a wonderful time at the track together. Hope the legislature there reconsiders that percentage amount and things work out for Woodland. Hugs, J.B.

I love you, Zenyatta. You do have a beautiful light about you, but then you always do. Becoming a mom certainly agrees with you and you will be a perfect mom. You are the best.
