Good Morning,
I wanted to give you an update on HOW I AM DOING! I am eating very well…no surprise there…and enjoying myself tremendously. My number of treats is being monitored (as it should be) and I am drinking lots of water each day and nothing else.
As you can see, I do have a bit of a BABY BUMP. I am HAPPILY gaining a few pounds…right in the middle. As many of you may know from your own personal experiences, this is what happens when you are having a baby!
In the responses, many of you have asked about my actual breeding date. It was on April 3rd. Time is flying by so quickly. Another fun fact to note is that my paddock pal, Tasty Temptation, was also bred on the very same day. She was bred to Candy Ride and is also in foal.
Thus, Tasty T. and I have a great deal in common. We are both experiencing the exact same stages of our pregnancies together.
In looking at this photo, the clouds look amazing in the background. The sky is gorgeous…and the Kentucky Blue Grass is so lush. My friend, Matt, also looks good! He is so sweet and I so appreciate the fact that he will spend the one-to-one time grazing me like this!
As for ME, I think I look pretty terrific in this picture! (Blush, Blush) My coat looks fabulous, my dapples are glowing and I do think my overall appearance is TOO CUTE!
I’ll keep you posted and updated on what I’m doing as we go along. I’m still very busy with my friends and all of my charity work! The other day Lane’s End told ME that I recently raised $8,500 for a charity named RIDING FOR HOPE. ($2,500 for one of my halters and $6,000 for a visit with ME!)
This organization is one that “is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the health of children and adults with special physical, cognitive, emotional and social needs through therapeutic activities with the horse”. **
I am so grateful to be able to HELP!
This concept of further developing your life in the midst of having a second career, in my case…having a baby, is quite gratifying! I am really trying to use my time wisely to help others and to do my very best to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
With Love,
Hugs to All~
Z

@Judy(Mass)…That National Baby Shower Day is a great idea!! I’m sure Lane’s End would be inundated with many, many, many wonderful presents for Z and Baby Z. Ok Dottie, if you’re reading over Z’s shoulder…. What do you think? Presents could also include donations to Thoroughbred Rescues and other charitable organizations…. There’s plenty of time to plan it as well :)

Zenyatta gives in so many ways…she’s just a wonder. The whole team. Take care of our girl.
Thank you, Dottie, for all that you are.

Dearest, Zenyatt. Don’t you look just spectacular. Once again big thanks to Sarah for such a beautiful picture. I agree, Zenny, that those fluffy clouds in a blue sky with the green of the grass is absolutely lovely. And those dapples, how special! I am so glad that Matt is allowing you quality grazing time. I know how much you love being with people and eating grass. Having both to enjoy at the same time is a perfect day for you. It is nice to hear about your new friend “Tasty Treat”. She is a gorgeous girl. Your charity work is fantastic, Zenny, you have such a big heart. You are so generous and thoughtful. So many deserving oganizations are benefiting from your efforts. You are helping them to continue the good works that they do. Thank you for everything you do beautiful. Love you very much!! Sweet dreams. Hugs and kisses. XXXOOO
@Charlotte Farmer – Thank you for the information about Normandy Farm. I sent them an e-mail, but haven’t heard back yet.
@Kari Bussell – To my remarkable Z friend, so sorry to hear about the troubles you are now facing. You are such an amazingly positive force, things just have to work out. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I understand your love for your father’s piano. My grandfather purchased a piano for my mother in the 40’s. All hand carved wood, just beautiful. It is suppose to ultimately come to me, as I asked my mother for it. It has extreme sentimental value for me, as that is where my mother has spent countless hours of her life playing lovely music.
@Librarian – A month in Kentucky, how marvelous would that be!! Please do share any suggestions you have. Even though this is my 4th trip and I am getting to know the area alittle, I would love additional ideas. Shari Voltz and I are looking for a good place to eat on the Sunday night I arrive. Nothing fancy, just tasty. She and her husband leave the next day, so that is our only opportunity to get together.

Z you will be a beautiful mom!

You do look positively marvelous. What a beautiful day to be grazing on the grass. Thanks for the updates Dottie and Zenyatta. Always a great way to start a day hear in Ca. Watched Cloudman’s race on HP racing website. Soooo close, as you said, LUCK & A HEADBOB sometimes makes the difference. He is a handsome boy.
Thanks for all your charity work.
Dawn Conrad
@Zenny, I am so sorry, I left out the “a” in your name.

My Beautiul Zenyatta~ It appears to me you are also enjoying the clover! Thanks for sharing your “breeding date” with us and giving us info on Tasty T. That was really sweet…and good to know you are staying away from the “Guiness” as well. :)
I love you with all my heart!!!
~Your #1 fan in Montana!!!

I will put March 17 on my calendar, Ms Zenyatta being part Irish and all.

Zenny, you are positively glowing, pregnancy certainly does agree with you. I think I would be glowing too if I had such a handsome friend, YOU and MATT are lucky to be able to spend such quality time together. Once again Sarah has given us an awesome picture of you. I am very touched to learn about your great contribution to Riding For Hope. Victoria began her riding and love affair with horses in a therapeutic riding program called I CANTER and is a terrific advertisement for the benefits of riding and being around a horse. I now actively encourage parents with a special needs child to get involved with a horse. Congratulations to the lucky person who made such a generous contribution and gets to visit with you. (Oh for a spare $6,000!) I would love to see you looking SO CUTE and GORGEOUS. All of TEAM Z deserves a medal for everything they do in your name and Dottie gets a BIG HUG for all her work as your scribe. Hugs and kisses from Fort Erie and pass one along to Tasty T.
