Happy Monday, Everyone!
Well, it is the beginning of another week! I truly can’t believe how quickly the time flies by! The Meet at Royal Ascot is complete, The Triple Crown is over for this year, and the VANITY HANDICAP (which was very exciting) has taken place.
Congratulations to all of the winners! I loved the fact that MY TEAM won a race on Vanity Day with LORO. It was TOO CUTE to see MY JOHN in the post-race interview on TVG. HE commented he was so happy the MOSS’ SILKS were able to be in the Winners’ Circle on this particular race day. I must say, I was too!
All is going very well for ME these days! As you can see in the photo above, I am one very happy, happy horse. I even have my own personal back-scratcher, the adorable Charles! He is always there to help me out if I need a hand with my back-scratching. I was out grazing a couple days ago and Charles was right there to help ME find that perfect “ITCHY” spot! What a guy!
Enjoy your week!
With Love,
Hugs to All~(Bernie, I was thinking of you yesterday. Hope you had a great Father’s Day!)

Hi Zenny, you got your entourage very well trained!!
Laura
i wish I had my very own back scratcher. You are one very lucky girl, Sweet Zenyata. How I miss you.
Mike G
I only wish I could be your personal back-scratcher :)
Linda Hoke
Wow, even the Queen of England doesn’t have a personal back-scratcher. I’m impressed. TOO CUTE!
Marty
Well, Beautiful… I missed seeing you on Vanity day. Just wasn’t the same without you.. Miss you always!!!
carolyn
Hey There Zenyatta’s personal backscratchers, Give her plenty of hugs and kisses and everything she wants, You have the queen in your barn and you all know how special she is, thank you all for the love and attention you give our girl. she has worked hard to get where she is and she deserves ONLY the best life has to offer her in her retirement.
Elaine
High hoof to Blind Luck for winning the Vanity. She came from behind reminding me of another wonderful mare who did the same thing!
You look wonderful, as usual. Can’t wait to see your adorable baby next year!
Margaret
@Amanda
Zennie was bred in early Apr. This means she should foal sometime late Feb and into the first two weeks of March.
Horses gestation is about 330-350 days. We have no idea where Zennie is in relation to the stats–this being her first foal.
Have no worries–LE’s is very responsible about keeping an eye on the mares. From day 300 on they will increase observations. They are privy to her breeding we date–we are not, nor should we.
Now onto other things!
How we do we convince the powers that be that Dottie needs a special year end award for being Zennie’s scribe???
carolyn
Zenyatta, 2011 is so lonely without you. I am so happy Blind Luck is getting some better luck. I couldn’t have wanted any other mare/filly to fill your void in the Vanity other than Blind Luck.
Kim
Love reading your diary posts Zenny, but you need to tell your ghost writer that the words “TOO CUTE” are way overused!
Bailey
Love reading your diary posts beautiful girl!

Beautiful Z, you and the guys look so relaxed! So happy for the Moss/John win with Loro yesterday. They must miss their strolls to the winner’s circle with you. Also would love to have witnessed the “Z Dumpling” gang in action – wish I were there! Can see it now -“gaggle of gregarious girls” sighted at Hollywood Park for having way too much fun!!!

Dear Z,
You look wonderful. That’s pretty nice, having your very own “back scratch assistant”. Well, you certainly have a loving crew at Lane’s End and you deserve nothing less beautiful “Lady in Waiting”. Love you and love to all of you, Judy and Russ
Cheryl Smith
So cute! Racing is just not the same without you, but you deserve to be pampered. Enjoy it!
Did you see Blind Luck? She did the come from behind thing, glad for her.
Hope all is going well with you and your baby bump! What an awesome baby this is going to be and I just know you will be the best mommy to he or she.
Keep dancing pretty one. we love you!
Sarah Powell
Had to watch your races over the weekend since you weren’t running in the Vanity this year – guess what – you won! Never get tired of watching you run! Glad Charles is taking such good care of you – you deserve anything you big heart desires! (Thanks to Sarah for giving us pictures and as always to Dottie).
Sarah Powell
Forgot to ask – did your John get cards yesterday from all his “dumplings?” He should have!
darlene
Hi Z you look great hope your fans can see you soon I watched the Vanity and wished you were in it but it was really good to see another great mare come from behind and win. Congrats to Blind Luck miss you Z
Beverly
I missed the Vanity on TVG but replayed it later. Afterwards I just had to go and watch the replay from 2010, when I was there to see another of your thrilling wins. Re-watching it brought back just how incredibly special those times were to see you run either in the flesh or on TV. Still missing you quite a bit but so grateful to Dottie for sending your emails every day. I am no longer in CA either…once you left there was no reason to stay:)
Joanna
I so totally agree…Dottie and all the other ‘ghost’ writers out there deserve HUGE awards for all the work they do. I’m constantly amazed. And Z…you may have NO idea how great it is to have a personal back-scratcher! It’s almost offically summer everybody…enjoy!
Marilu V
Hello Zeny! So happy to see your latest picture. Take good care of yourself.
And please ignore when some tell you – you should not use – too cute often. I love it because it’s “U”. This is your website so you can say what you want! Hugs, Marilu

@ Margaret – indeed our wonderful Dottie is a whole new breed of “turf writer”, promoting the public perception of racing like no other thru Zenyatta. The rewards have already been realized thru the up-tick in both attendance and handle at many of the events like the Triple Crown and Breeder’s Cup. Other prominent horses have Facebook pages now as well to expand their fan base. High hooves to Dottie on her exceptional devotion to Zenny, racing and educating the fans!
Jeanie
Dearest Z,
I would hop a flight and be there in a minute to scratch your royal back if they would let me!
Your humble J
Linda Deutsch
I would LOVE to volunteer as a back scratcher for you ANY DAY!!! You look so radiant, Z – just glowing!! Stay healthy and happy and send hugs to your team.
Lauren
Dear Zenny – How lovely it would be to have a personal back scratcher. You look fabulous — being in foal really agrees with you. Have a blessed day beautiful girl. Hugs and kisses.
Gloria Jeanne
Hi Zenny-
I am so happy that you have Charles, I’m glad you are feeling good.
:)
Jan
Zenyatta,
Looks like your getting the royal treatment at LE. :) You are really putting on weight Big Mama. ;) Stay healthy and happy big sweetie….. xoxo
Tatia
@Sarah Powell – LOL! That tickled me.
Hey Zenny….I know the back scratching is good and all that, but do you think we could get a pic that shows the “baby bump?” Charles and all – just keep on doing what you do best and know that the fans thank you!
Georgia Harper
You look so very happy. Excited to see Loro win will keep an eye on him. YOUR John and Dottie looked so pleased after the win and in the winners circle. Very sad about Unbridled Bell she had such a career ahead of her but glad she will recover. Take care and yes time passes quickly which means maybe it won’t be too long till that little ones comes. Hugs and kisses
Dawn Deems
It was odd to watch the Vanity Handicap without you in it… but Blind Luck filled your shoes very well! She looked like a mini-Zenyatta passing the entire field on the outside.
You look fantastic, by the way.
Hugs and kisses from Ohio XOXOXO
