Good Morning,
I just love this cake! A wonderful fan, Karen Gogue, brought it to BARN 55 for MY JOHN on his birthday! I heard the cake was quite tasty and everyone at the barn loved every bite! I must say, not only is Karen’s thoughtfulness of getting a birthday cake for John very special, but the phrase she used ON the cake is absolutely perfect for him as well:
LIFE WITHOUT HORSES…
I DON’T THINK SO!
This is absolutely TOO CUTE! This is truly the way he feels!
On so many different levels, MY JOHN feels that WE HORSES simply have a way of making people FEEL GOOD! As a matter of fact, he often comments to his friends and staff……. whenever you have a tough day and things appear to be a bit challenging….RELAX, TAKE A DEEP BREATH, and GO HUG A HORSE!
I really LOVE this philosophy! In truth, hugging US and being around US can be GREAT FUN!
Have a wonderful Tuesday!
With Love,
HUGS TO ALL! (Especially ALL of my FELLOW HORSES!)

Hi Z! I am a little late today. Yesterday, Emma graduated from high school so it was a busy day. I love the cake. It is so special for John. Yes, John is right-horses can make the stress of a bad day go away! Have a wonderful day Z! xxoo

Love you, Zenny. John has it so right. Whenever I get stressed, a carrot break with my horses makes everything better.

Dearest Zenyatta and baby-to-be, I have two dogs to look after, but, alas, no horses. I ADORE horses. Especially, you, Zenyatta…I have framed pictures of you in my bedroom and living room, and i visit you on line in your videos, pictures, diary entrees…and news items. You always make me feel happy. Zenyatta is the GREATEST race horse of all time. There is not a horse more exciting then BIG Z. Her greatest race was was the one that got away from her. If they raced 100 more time she would win them all. Zenyatta’s gentle, sweet, personable, charming and loved by so many people . I don’t think we will ever see a greater champion then THE GREAT ZENYATTA. She had more to show us. I think she was capable to rev it up a notch or two. SHe is the GREATEST and forever will be loved by all. Good Luck Z.

Zenyatta, those are great sayings on John Shirreff’s birthday cake. Life without horses-I don’t think so and Go hug a horse. I couldn’t agree with that philosophy more. I only wish I could get out to where horses are. I would be hugging and petting them galore. You would need a crowbar to get me away from them.
