Good Morning,

It sounds like all of you are having an interesting time thinking of BABY NAMES! It is a great deal of fun trying to come up with the ‘perfect’ name that ‘appears available’. Needless to say, Sophie’s suggestion, was just that, a thought. There are so many fun possibilities and options for one to contemplate. Using the Jockey Club Interactive page is definitely very helpful.

So many of you kindly wrote and asked about Makoma. My dear friend is doing fine! John just took this photo of her a few moments ago so I could share it with you. As you can see, she is A-OK! John also did a little video for you of Makoma so you could see her walking around the grazing area at Barn 55.

Horses are like people. Once in awhile, they can have something in their life not go right at that particular moment. For Makoma, it was her race yesterday. As an athlete, something can happen at the drop of a hat. So, we are all grateful that she just had a ‘bad day’ for whatever reason….and that she came out of the experience in good shape!

Many times in life, it is something like this that makes you appreciate how wonderful it is to have your health! Good health is so very important!

Again, thank you for thinking of my dear friend and asking about her! Makoma sends all of you a BIG HUG!

    Hi Zenny, thanks for sharing the current on your friend. We were worried about her but she seems to be in good shape..good for her! Yes, thinking of baby names is fun and gives us something to focus on for the next several months. I know you will share “everything” with us…it’s going to be quite an experience for all of us. :-)

    Hi, Zenyatta. I am 14 years old and a HUGE fan of yours. You made me a huge horse racing fan. Glad to hear you are doing ok. Congrats on being in foal :). Cant wait to see what he/she looks like. I had an idea for a baby name. If its a colt the name could be Zolaristic and if its a filly it could be Zensational.

    Hi Zenny, thanks for letting us know your friend at Barn 55 is AOK. We were worried about her. About those baby names, we are all having a great time trying to find the perfect one…it gives us something to focus on as we wait for the great event next year.     Zenny, would it be possible for once a month or so to get a front and side conformation type photo so we can see your “baby bump” grow over the 9 months or so you have left? We are all have a good idea of what you look like now but I would love to see the progression you make.

    Thank you Zenny (and Dottie and John) for letting us know that Makoma is ok – as you could tell there was much concern. It is fun thinking of baby names but we have to pace ourselves since we still have many months to go!! As Mary posted above, you have made us one huge family and we are concerned when something happens to any member (two legs or four). LOL

    Is there a name contest forthcoming?

    I like: Master Zen (or Master of Zen) for a colt or Zensational Lady for a filly.
