Good Morning,
It is so hard to believe that it is almost Memorial Day! I know many people get a nice long weekend off to celebrate the holiday. In our world, that of horse racing, it is a time for great racing and fun! On the holidays, the racetracks are usually quite busy. Like many sporting events, they stay open to allow people who are having some time off to RELAX and ENJOY OUR SPORT!
For ME, every day is like a holiday! I am having so much FUN! I get to graze with my friends, relax, and enjoy the absolutely ‘picture perfect’ weather we are having right now in Lexington. Dottie did say it is also ‘gorgeous’ in Arcadia this morning. We are so fortunate!
Several states, though, are presently suffering due to tornados. BLESSINGS to all who are currently struggling with these serious problems. Life does present challenges, that are so often, out of one’s control! MY TEAM and I want to send our warmest thoughts and prayers to all who are in the midst of these difficulties at this time.
Our hearts are with YOU!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Zenny, you and your team are class acts. How many times have we said that? It’s so true.
Thank you Dottie for conveying Team Z’s caring for those who are suffering from this horrendous weather.
God speed to all of you and to all the great Z fans who visit this special place.
Trudy De Marlie
Zenny I have been checking your website regularly the last 2days; checking and praying that you and all your friends & family at Lane’s End stay safe from the tornados & dangerous weather. Is there a place there where you can get underground & safe if necessary? May God continue to bless you and always keep you safe. Love you with all my heart…look forward to the day I can see you once more….Love Trudy from AZ

Dearest Sweet “Z”,
Time to settle in and say ‘Goodnight.’ I hope there is a horse movie on TMC to relax a bit with and end the day on a peaceful note. Many prayers are sent to our unfortunate friends suffering loss in the tornado disasters. Holding them in my heart.

Kathy K. I am relieved you and your family are safe. Thank you for reaching out and sharing here. It brings the perspective into its proper place. We are all here together. I hope you have a restful night.

I hope that the weather in Lexington stays picture-perfect, dearest Z. Prayers for your safety and for that of your many fans and friends in the Southeast and Midwest. Very special prayers for all who have suffered heartbreaking losses in the terrible storms.
The most wonderful holiday weekend I could ever imagine would be to pack a picnic lunch (there would be treats galore for you and your friends in the basket!), spread a blanket in your pasture, and enjoy your magnificent presence until the setting sun had turned the bluegrass hills to gold.

Dear Zenyatta,It is now Wednesday night and I hear the weather may turn nasty in the Lexington area. Hope you and all of your friends hunker down and stay safe. May God bless you and protect you always.

Hi Zenny: I just watched the news and Louisville and other areas in Ky are under a severe storm watch. It is suppose to hit Ky tonight. My heart goes out to all the victims of these tornados. How devastating it must be to lose everything you worked so hard for. Keep safe Zenny! Love, Linda

Dearest, beautiful Zenyatta of my heart, May you and your friends and family at Lane’s End Farm remain safe and secure from the storms raging about the area. My prayers are with you and those who have suffered loss. Love, forever…Be safe, my dear! Jean.

Good evening Zenyatta,
thanks for your good wishes, we were almost blown awaaaay the other day :(
Missed it by THIS MUCH :)
We were lucky so far. I finally convinced an elderly friend not to take his very elderly & very arthritic dog down a zillion basement steps, he’d have to live the rest of his days out in the basement, cause there’s no way he could make it up the steps, and he’s too heavy to lift up. I fixed an interior closet up for both to wait it out. Much better, but it’s still very scary. Nobody is as brave as you are around here, we’re all scardycats. Hopefully it’ll quiet down soon, glad you’re doing good & looking swell. :) :) :)
Have a quiet & peaceful night with dreams of mints & carrots
Theresa Buck
you are so thoughtful… i guess that is why everyone love you…hugs muuah

What a pecious description of E. Her mom really
Passes on a very sweet personality. Keep us posted
When you see her.

What a special story about the blind quarter horse
And her entourage. Wonder how the relationships
Started. Sooo very glad they found a home together.

Marilyn Braudrick…I root for all the barn 55 horses because of the big girl and her John. Since I know your name and how much you loved the queen, I’ll pay special attention to your group and when I learn their names, I’ll put them in my virtual stable. Love knowing anyone that loves the big girl.
FYI….Don’t forget, Sammy(my cat) destroyed the _enyatta letter on my laptop. Rarely works, so I don’t even try to type her name…Thanks for understanding and don’t condem Sammy too much, he was jealous of my typing instead of petting him. He’s a bad boy but I love him. :)
Pamela J Hebert
Zenny such a nice message from Marilyn Braudrick. I’m sure alot of people feel that way. God bless you & keep you & all your friends safe in Kentucky with all the bad tornadoes & weather I worry. Love to all & thank for all your posts. When I have a bad day seeing you & reading them makes me feel better. Your sister is gorgeous but you are THE BEST!!! You have a presence few possess.

Hi Lady Z, beautiful thoughts and prayers for all of the victims of the various storms and weather patterns assaulting the midwest and south-central states. It’s storming where I live and suppose to continue all thru the night, I pray that everyone are safe and sheltered from harm, may God’s love and mercy stand guard over all his creatures, great and small.(Amen!!!)
@ Charlotte Farmer, thank you for your warm and kind thoughts for me and my brothers/sisters in arms. It is an honor to stand guard and to serve and protect our ‘nation-wide’ family, and yes, most definitely ‘not on my watch!’
@ Judy Gadwood, yes I’m a fellow eaglet-oholic, both Decorah and Norfolk. :) It’s so amazing watching the babies grow into such beautiful creatures!
To all of my Zen-family, have a blessed holiday weekend, and be safe.
Lady Z, PQ, and the new girlfriends have a fun-filled, restful holiday also, you’ve earned it!
Peppermint Kisses and Carrot Dreams,
Valeria

Thank you Zenyatta and your team for always reminding us to think of others. That is what you represent – kindness, empathy for others and love. I was so blessed to see you and your mighty character surrounds you. You are so powerful with just being you.
Susan in TN
@ EVERYONE: Hope you are all safe and sound. We have a tornado watch right now and the storms have started.
@nancy: I hope you hear from your family soon. I’ll bet phones and internet are down-I know that happened here a couple of storms ago and I’ve heard others mention the same thing. Doesn’t make the waiting any easier, though, does it? We are all thinking of you and others affected by these storms.
@DJ: I wondered earlier that we hadn’t heard from Trina Nagele. I like the “no news is good news” line of thinking.
@ZENNY: Love you!
@SUNNY BOYD: TOO FUNNY! “a zillion stairs” and all the rest- we have a Saint Bernard and the first time I “made” everyone go down to the basement, I found out he doesn’t “do” long flights of stairs. Between my husband and me, we pushed and pulled and coaxed and threatened and bribed and finally got him down. Then we had about 2 hours to wonder how we were going to get him back up the stairs. Turns out, he goes UP stairs fine:)
@DONA: what luck to lose the “Z” on the Zenyatta website! But I can’t condemn Sammy- people in glass houses, you know!
@TEAM Z: For once, I’m glad you are mostly in CA!
