Good Morning,
It is so hard to believe that it is almost Memorial Day! I know many people get a nice long weekend off to celebrate the holiday. In our world, that of horse racing, it is a time for great racing and fun! On the holidays, the racetracks are usually quite busy. Like many sporting events, they stay open to allow people who are having some time off to RELAX and ENJOY OUR SPORT!
For ME, every day is like a holiday! I am having so much FUN! I get to graze with my friends, relax, and enjoy the absolutely ‘picture perfect’ weather we are having right now in Lexington. Dottie did say it is also ‘gorgeous’ in Arcadia this morning. We are so fortunate!
Several states, though, are presently suffering due to tornados. BLESSINGS to all who are currently struggling with these serious problems. Life does present challenges, that are so often, out of one’s control! MY TEAM and I want to send our warmest thoughts and prayers to all who are in the midst of these difficulties at this time.
Our hearts are with YOU!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Thank you Sweet “Z”,
Our family is praying for those in unfortunate situations as well. All donations are welcome, from even the smallest ..in the name of our dear Zenyatta! Red Cross and Amazon have easy one step click ons and it is worth giving up that cup of coffee, pizza, lunch out or salad out! Right “Z”?! Bless you and your wonderful family. We are so fortunate to have our temperate conditions.

I am going to visit my 3 horses in barn #55 tomorrow morning. I will go down the shed row and see your now empty stall and I will try not to cry. I’ve stayed away all these months since you left because I thought i couldn’t stand to see that empty stall- but my visit to my own horses at Hollywood Park is long overdue–I went to see them when they were at santa Anita but now that they’re back home in barn 55 I’ve delayed. No longer!! I will simply look at your stall and remember your sunny nature, your kindness to me and my daughter and the joy that you are. I am happy for you and i wish you all the luck in the world with your coming motherhood. Be happy Big Beautiful girl. You deserve it. You gave so much to everyone!! We love you.

Sweet girl, have a wonderful holiday. You sure are looking good and healthy! We will have some strong winds this evening, so you probably won’t be out long this evening. You’ll have to play cards with your barn friends. Love you, Zenyatta! You rock my world!

Hello Zenyatta:
So happy to hear you are all safe in Lexington and have great weather. Last night’s weather prediction added Kentucky in the list of possible severe weather conditions. It looked better this morning. I hope the storms stop so everyone can start their recovery process.
God bless you and take care of you. Hugs,
Marilu

I love you so~!!!

Hi Beautiful Girl. I worry about you being close to all the tornadoes. I hope there is someplace for you to hide in case one comes your way. Of course you could come home to California. Up here in Northern California there are many horse areas, especially in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. I am sure you would love it…and NO TORNADOES!
We all love you Zenny. Love, Cassie (just outside of Loomis, CA)

Leave it to our Zenny to think of all of those suffering during these devastating tornadoes. That is why we love you. You are PART of our world, not apart from it or above it. Compassion and caring is so important in our daily lives. Our hearts go out to those in need, and please take care of yourself, too, since you are not far from where they are happening. I hope there is an emergency plan in place at Lane’s End and a spot for you to take refuge in case the weather turns bad. Take care, Sweet Zenny! Love you!
Abigail from Montreal
Hi there my big, gorgeous girl. I’m so glad to hear that you’re enjoying blissful days @ Lane’s End. And it’s wonderful to hear you lend your voice to those who are sending their own prayers to those whose lives have been destroyed in so many ways. I’m one of those people who really do believe that if enough people send out positive warmth and energy, we can make a change in the lives of others for the better.
Spring has finally come to Montreal, more or less. We seem to be getting truckloads of rain & I’m certain this is connected to all the atmospheric disturbances in North America this Spring. Hard to say when summer will show up, though and it’s important because in June & July Montreal comes alive with the Grand Prix, street fairs and, of course, the Montreal Jazz Festival. We “snowy types” really party in the summer …. except for dogs like Jericho, that is. He’s really a snow dog so summer is kind of something he (barely) tolerates!!!!!

A beautiful photograph of Mike and Zenyatta was hung in my entry hall today for all to see who enter my home.
Love and best of good health to our Queen Z.
