Good evening Zenyatta,
;) ;)
does it mean HooHoo?
Heehee :) :) :)
From your picture which is too cute btw, I gather you had an ab fab day, being set out to pasture is becomming you. Well, with all the good things to eat, and the trees in full dress by now, and a little wind in your mane, and the early morning mist tickling your hooves, how can life not be great. Have a restful night and dreams of carrots & mints

Well, most lovely Zenyatta….you do look quite wonderful, and, hmmmmm. I believe there are many awaiting with baited breaths..
@ Terry Crow – what an uplifting and encouraging post to Marsha S. Your mother saw Seabiscuit in his third, and final “fait accompli” pursuit of the “hundred-grander” …..
WOW. I would love to see a story or so, about your Mom’s adventures and experiences as a racehorse owner.
@Margaret – I did post a response to your response – end of post 249 – including an apology. I don’t need a response. I just want to make sure you see it.

Thankyou again, you are a true blessing to horse racing and it’s fans! Love you!

To whoever has knowledge, and be kind enough to reply (although this might be a topic of epic proportions, and require a doctorate’s dissertation to explain) My question is – what is the significance of “families”, and how is this info. used, by breeders, race horse owners, etc? I know Zenyatta is family – 4-r. I know the family line (number) is calculated by the dam’s side. I did research, and found out my Emma is from family 22-a – and I believe she shares that with Street Sense….I know he is from a 22 family – was it a or b? don’t remember. Thoroughbred pedigrees are both fascinating, and perplexing. I traced Emma’s lineage back to Old Bald Peg – mid 1600’s- but I can’t remember on which side – too many, when one goes back many generations. I researched “families”; I got a long list of foundation mares, and progeny, that made my eyes blur. Goodness, I wish I could trace my own family back that far. Anyway, any words, simplified – if that is possible – to the wise would be appreciated.

Dear Zenny and Dottie,
Greetings from Georgia. Love the closeup Zenny! You don’t have a bad side!
Is there a possibility that (after the Preakness), the video presented at the conference could be linked here to share the “Inspiration” with your many friends who couldn’t make it this time to CA?
Love to you Zenny, and your fabulous team! Fingers crossed for a great PP Draw tomorrow for our guy Mr. Commons!

Your little sister Ebleuissante has just arrived here at Hollywood Park and I can’t wait to go see her. I miss going to see you there so very much. Perhaps this will be alleviate some of this continuing angst. I’m so happy that you are doing so well. I had a Kentucky Derby party at my house this year which I’ve never done before and I’m getting ready for another one for the Preakness all due to the incredible enthusiasm I have because of you dear girl.

To Susan in Tn:
Your story about the elderly man brought tears to my eyes. It’s so wonderful, that you will be able to give these beautiful animals, that he loves and can no longer afford to care for, the attention and kindness that they deserve. God bless you.
Horse Watch is a free feature of the Daily Racing Form website. You sign up for free and choose horses that you want to keep track of. Then you can go in and check on who has had a workout or who is entered in a race. They also give you the results of races your chosen horses have run in. You can keep track of trainers and jockeys, too, if you want to. Hugs, Judy B.
