We will keep hooves crossed that this time you will be a mom.
Why haven’t you mentioned that your John is training a horse for the Preakness, Mr. Commons?
I can only hope that we will see him in the winners circle.
Love you Zenyatta!
Sandy, New Jersey
You sly girl! Are you hinting at what I think you are hinting at?
Sharyn Priester
So nice to hear how happy and healthy you are!!

Barb Zylbert
So we will you let us know all is good by June 2? Thats about 60 days…………….come on Z, we know you are pregnant and we hope its a filly!!!
Paul
I went to a library where youtube videos usually work without a flashplayer of some sort but I tried to click on the video of Zenyatta flying on an airplane and got the notice that flashplayer was required. When I try to register for this flashplayer, a notice comes on saying that it cannot put me through because of “complications” or some such nonsense.

Hooves crossed, prayers said as always, and waiting for any news your team sends our way. I love your Wink,Wink and Winking back at you. Hugs and Prayers
Still hoping fans can have a peek at you this summer, even from a distance?

@Marsha S–Stick to your dreams and you never know what might happen. My mother owned race horses. She was inspired by being in attendance at Seabiscuit’s last race, the 1940 Santa Anita Handicap. Old you say? try being my age for a while. There are a lot of good people who post on this web site so keep us updated. Good luck and God bless.

Ok, I am thinking that you had another romantic episode with Bernie. I sure hope so. It is still early and you are a healthy girl. Good luck, we are all looking forward to seeing a beautiful baby by your side.

Wink! Wink! I’ve got a name for your little one…when it arrives: “Rayonner” French for radiant. :)
Brenda
I love your WINK WINK and from such beautiful eyes! Everything here in my house in Fort Erie is crossed hoping that there’s a clue in the winks. Stay happy and healthy Zenny.

WINK WINK back to you ZENNY :) I LOVE YOU ! I must be missing something is ZENNY in FOAL?

I hope that everything continues to go well. Aside from the beauty and excitement of it, the racing game could really use a large, strong, sound, and versatile great mare like Zenyatta to pass her bloodline down. I can’t think of a better match than Bernadini.
Could you imagine two colts in the same year, one by Zenyatta/Bernadini and the other by Rachel Alexandra/Curlin?
Wow!
I’ll take the Zenyatta/Bernadini! :-)
Jon
This almost brought tears to my eyes…I knew some sort of news was coming since the questions were constantly being asked and there were no responses. This Hollywood Park regular (and lucky visitor to Barn 55) can certainly wait for more news. What a great way to handle this. Love ya Zen!
Margaret
I will hold off on cheering til I get the official word!
In the meantime I’m glad to hear that you are well.

You have some really wonderful people who love you and respect you. I am grateful for Dottie taking the time to share so much with each of us.
To Trina Nagele and Trina Nagele thank you for the kind words that you posted on Zenyatta’s site Post #234.
Zenyatta’s John was indeed the last one to handle Noor in his final breeding duties and only one of two men to ride Noor in retirement, the other being Lou Machado who worked for Lin Howard Sr. at Moorpark where Noor was stabled before later being sent to stand at stud in Kentucky.
As John shared with me those were the best 10 years working under Henry Freitas and spending the evenings with Henry and his wife Edith. My dear friend Roxann, Henry’s daughter has shared so much with me over these past two years. Yes, under Henry Freitas, Loma Rica Ranch Manager the horses put in his charge were treated like gold.
As far as the grave, I am involved in efforts to have Noor moved out of Grass Valley. Keep hooves crossed that we are successful. One final note, Noor was exceptional on the track under trainer Burley Parke. I recently learned that when Noor raced in the 1948 Epsom Derby, coming in third, he raced against a field of 32 horses in a walk-up start. His owner, His Highness the Aga Khan III had two horses running that day, Noor and My Love with My Love winning. If you go on the Internet putting in 1948 Epsom Derby two clips of the race will come up. Click on the one that says British Pathe then watch. At the end you will see the first two horses crossing the finish line, then look at the bottom. That black streak coming across the finish line is Noor.
Noor topped out at 17 hands, he was a big boy/girl just like you Zenyatta!
Love you Zen!

DRF reported yesterday “Zenyatta, now 7, is a broodmare at Lane’s End Farm in Versailles, Ky. She did not maintain her first pregnancy to Bernardini, and her fans currently are awaiting results of a second mating in April to that Darley stallion. Owners Ann and Jerry Moss have not yet confirmed the mare’s pregnancy status.”
HOOVES CROSSED and praying that everything continues to go well!

Having you healthy is the most important!! I know that you are getting the best treatment and deserve every bit of been pampered
Lora
This is premature, but someone else’s cute “Wink and a Nod” phraise would be neat boy name, and “Amazen’ Grace” for a little girl. I know, slow down, right? It’s so hard. A year ago, I would never have imagined I’d be sharing my thoughts about a horse like she is family. How special this is.
