Hello Everyone!
I had a great weekend. I thought the Peter Pan Race was very exciting…love those photo finishes. Alternation won that stake in a very tight finish. Then at Hollywood Park, the Lazaro Barrera Stake was also a close, close finish! Congratulations to Bench Points who won that race. Those NOSE FINISHES can be very exciting. I know a bit about that from my racing days!
Bernardini also had a fun weekend. He sired some very nice winners around the country and then Theyskens’ Theory won a listed stakes race in Europe. YIPPEE!
On another note, a few weeks ago, a lovely family came to visit ME! The young daugher wrote a very endearing letter to Lane’s End requesting the visit for her Father. He has been quite ill and the daughter felt this would be a very special and meaningful visit for their entire family.
Lane’s End honored this special request. The family came to visit and then they sent some photos of ME back to the farm. I thought you would enjoy them. I’d been outside playing right before they came to visit ME! Oh, I do have so much fun outside…and YES, I do love to roll in the grass!
A special time was had by ALL on this day! Best wishes to this lovely family and ALL BLESSINGS to them in every single area of their lives.
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~
Z

Thanks to Margie, Karen Mitchell and Cynthia H. for those very special stories telling personal experiences of the magic of Z.
@ Gary Moulton—Oh, that was an update on “the OTHER Queen.”
@Susan in TN—I looked at the horses for adoption on the website for the rescue where you’re helping out http://www.riveredgefarmhorserescue.org/about.html. That little gray Arab mare is a darling. Maybe you’ll be able to help her get over her shyness like Sharon Call suggested. The other horses and ponies look wonderful too. Try to keep a diary, like Z, and share with us. Best wishes.

Oh Zenny my beauty, you couldn’t look better. Thank LE for the nice visit they allowed and for the pics we got to see. You sure do have a bunch of handsome men waiting on you….what Queen could ask for more?
@Susan in TN how good of you to give back to these wonderful creatures we love, I wish there was a rescue here I’d love to help, I already volunteer at the Humane Society. Bless You
@Gary Moulton thank you for the great article on Lily, I guess many of us ladies don’t realize what those who went before had to put up with.
Luv you Zenny with a kiss on your nose

Hi Zenny: I missed writing to you yesterday, but want you to know that the photo of you by Sarah Campion is absolutely gorgeous!!! I can see why Dottie loves it. I can’t believe it is a photo. It looks like a painting of you. It is just beautiful. These pictures of you today are great too. You look wonderful!!! I must tell you I loved yesterday’s post with your little statements about you becoming a Mom! Now I won’t say anything further. I’ll just wait to hear from you, but it sure sounds like a few hints to me. Speaking of the races Zenny, did any of your fans happen to tell you if they are planning to go to the Preakness this Saturday? If so, let me know!!! It would be nice to say hello. Take care, Zenny. Love, Linda

I love the idea (someone posted yesterday) of one of your foals being named “Too Cute” — just imagine how that would sound…”and it’s Too Cute by 5 lengths…”

If all of us who were able to donate money (however great or small) or time to these rescues for horses, it would be another feather in Zenyatta’s cap. It would all be because of Zenyatta and this site. What a compliment to Zenyatta that would be.

Dear Zenny, I feel like a copy cat! Everybody has said it all!! You, your team, Lane’s End are all class acts. As much as I would love to see you rollicking in the pasture and rolling in the grass, it was great to hear that Lane’s End honored such a request. Yes, I, too, believe that you have a “spiritual” quality surrounding you. I just have the biggest smile on my face whenever I read your diary. You are just TOO CUTE. We can just imagine and wait to see your “babies” We will be so proud. Hugs and kisses. Joan

Happy Monday Zenny and everyone. And I second everyone’s thoughts on LE’s generosity to that special family. Just getting to visit with you alomst every day on this site is salve for the soul. But to get to visit with you in person, that just has to be the ultimate prescription for bliss.
@Laura J–thanks for the update about Old Friends. All of our retired TB friends need someplace like this. And this is certainly the place to come to find about ways and places that we Zenny lovers can help.
As always Zenny you are beautiful, inside and out. Thanks for being there for everyone.
Have a great week everyone.
Lotsa love to all.

Zenny…God was smiling the day you were born.

Zenyatta, the great pictures of you never cease! Keep them up! You love to roll in the grass, don’t you, girl? Congratulations to your buddies or picks which have done well in recent races. I am happy that Lane’s End Farm honored the request of that family to visit Zenyatta in honor of a death in that family. It interrupted her playing outside with her buddies, but it was worth it. I would love to go to Lane’s End Farm and visit with you and your buddies, Zenyatta.

My Sweet Lady Zenyatta, Tell Dottie what a special Post to share your visit with a family that the daughter had requested for her father. I know that had to be such a wonderful time for her father & her to share together. I am so proud of You & Your Family with Land’s End for granting this wish. You look amazing in the photos too. The young man’s smile is priceless. Zenyatta, you always strike a pose when the camera is around. You are a perfect model. I love you, Zenyatta. Sending Hugs & Kisses From Alabama With Love, Amanda G.
@ Susan in Tn.- I think that is so exciting & wonderful to be working at the River Edge Farm Horse Rescue. I would love to be able to work with a horse rescue. That would be so rewarding to work with these horses and see how they respond with love & care.
@Shron Call_ I love your story of Chloe. I know that was rewardiing to see her heal with your love & patience. Thanks for sharing your story.
@To everyone- I enjoy reading Zenyatta’s Post with everyone’s postings so much. This is my favorite place to visit to end my day.

If you aren’t going to have a baby soon, can you come up to Ohio and we’ll go trail riding? Wait til fall, no bugs, beautiful leaves, we’ll go truckin down the trails and pretend we are out running the Sleepy Hollow horse! Then we’ll trot across the field, up and down the swells and scatter all the orange and gold leaves as we canter around the bend and go splashing through the creek.
Tere Thomas
Beautiful pictures as always Z and thx for the story about the family. I’m sure having a visit with you made the entire family feel special and better in every way. Love you!!

Team Z….what a beautiful post! Lane’s End staff are a big part of Team Z now and they show the same class that Zenny’s racing Team has always shown. The impact that Z has on so many people is unbeliveable! She warms people’s hearts and souls by just looking at them.

@ Gary
Thanks for the article on Carlton House and The
Queen Mum. Very interesting article in that same
telegraph and Animal Kingdom’s extra security since
Team Valor was so outspoken after the Derby win about
Trainers. Some of the trainers took offense. There does
Not seem to be an official threat, but he is at a farm and
Not the track.

Hi Zenny. My but you look exquisite in these photos — you seem to glow! I think it’s so wonder-full that you are still helping us two-leggeds weather our difficult lives and I do believe that you are a being who does, indeed, INSPIRE. Remember that inspire means to breathe in and is associated with the breath of the spirit. You are a gift who breathes this kind of spirit!
On another note, I saw a tape where John talked about giving you aloe vera juice. Well…I am a mom to an 11.5 year-old shepherd mix dog and 3 rescued cats. I’ve started adding aloe vera gel to my dog’s yogurt snack ( he has a typically fussy German Shepherd tummy) and to the kitties daily saucer of milk. WELL…everyone is doing great! Jericho (dog) has almost no tummy upsets and the kitties have coats that glow & shine — and NO TANGLES!!!! So thanks to John for the tip!
KIMBERLY
Hi Queen, I love the photos..You always look so stellar… You always do nice things for people in need. Just seeing you cheers everyone up! LOVE YA

That is so nice what Lanes End did for this family, the photos are wonderful thank you for sharing. For Jei Zenyatta was bred back to Bernie last month, just have to wait for the word, as Z would say hoofs crossed.
Zenyen
@Cindy from LA,
This is how nasty rumors get started. Fair Hill is a specialized thoroughbred training facility that is only 60 miles away from Pimlico. Michael Matz and other TB trainers stable their string there and work out of it because it promotes a very European style of training race horses.
Barbaro spent his two weeks between the KD and the Preakness back at Fair Hill and shipped to Pimlico the day before.
Team Valor specifically bought barns on Fair Hill in order for their horses to be trained at that facility and to take advantage of all it has to offer. It has nothing to do with threats or any other BS.
For anyone interested in reading about Fair Hill, here is a link. It is truly Heaven on Earth for an in training Thoroughbred. http://www.fairhilltrainingcenter.com/

You are SOOOO BEAUTIFUL!! I just love you so much! Who is your nice young friend? I think he likes you! (who couldn’t) Stay healthy and happy little girl! LOVE YOU
Peggy
Dear Zenny, I think you just get more beautiful each day. Hope you are having great fun playing in your paddock.
@Dawn, hope you have a nice trip. Didn’t you say you were going to California? Are you still going to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona? If you are I hope all turns out well. Keep us posted my twin sister.
@Susan in tn, I think its just teriffic the work you are doing.
@Laura J, did you hear about the rescue of one of Secretariat’s brothers. I believe it is on Secretariat’s website. It will make you cry, but such a nice end to a beautiful horse. He was lost but found later in life, and I believe Penny chenery said she remembered him. Oh Gosh I’m going to get sad now, I just cleaned out from around my cat Holly’s grave earlier this evening. She was such a beautiul blessing to me.
Zenny and Everyone have a wonderful evening. It was back to work for me today after a week off, but it was a good day.
Who does everyone want to win the Preakness????????????????????
At Ensign, if your out there who do you think will win??????????????????????
Barbara Wood
Dear Z–what a wonderful thing to invite a special family to visit you. God bless you and them, especially the father. Things like this make us love you even more. Sweet dreams, darling girl. Love you always.

Looking good as usual, Zenny. Your ears look beautiful. I guess you do get surprise visitors from time to time. Roll in the grass as much as you can, I’m sure it is fun. I’m anxious to know when you will be in foal or not this year. It is a big wonder to many. Have fun with your friends love you sweet girl.
