Hello Everyone!
I had a great weekend. I thought the Peter Pan Race was very exciting…love those photo finishes. Alternation won that stake in a very tight finish. Then at Hollywood Park, the Lazaro Barrera Stake was also a close, close finish! Congratulations to Bench Points who won that race. Those NOSE FINISHES can be very exciting. I know a bit about that from my racing days!
Bernardini also had a fun weekend. He sired some very nice winners around the country and then Theyskens’ Theory won a listed stakes race in Europe. YIPPEE!
On another note, a few weeks ago, a lovely family came to visit ME! The young daugher wrote a very endearing letter to Lane’s End requesting the visit for her Father. He has been quite ill and the daughter felt this would be a very special and meaningful visit for their entire family.
Lane’s End honored this special request. The family came to visit and then they sent some photos of ME back to the farm. I thought you would enjoy them. I’d been outside playing right before they came to visit ME! Oh, I do have so much fun outside…and YES, I do love to roll in the grass!
A special time was had by ALL on this day! Best wishes to this lovely family and ALL BLESSINGS to them in every single area of their lives.
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

Hello our Beautiful Zenyatta! I love the ears!!! You are too cute for words. Lousy weather here in MA all week, hope you have sunshine in KY. This is for Dottie, in case you did not read my post on the last diary, would it be possible to buy that gorgeous photo of Z and have the money go to one of the horse rescues? Thank you Alex

Lane’s End and YOU and Team Z are very generous in granting this daughter’s request on behalf of her father. No doubt his visit with you helped to buoy his spirits. Best wishes to that family.
You look wonderful and happy. Glad to hear you are doing well and enjoying your time off.

Glad to see the young man smiling so big at the end of your lead rope; boy I would be grinning from ear to ear if I had you on my lead line! I would just burst with joy! Still miss watching you run your race; it’s just not the same without you! Thanks for all the good times!

You all are the most wonderful. I visited with you on the backstretch at Churchill Downs and again at the Classic and once again at the welcome party at Keeneland. Those are memories I will treasure for a lifetime. You are special beyond words.

P.S. Zenny-I started my volunteer work yesterday with a local horse rescue-inspired by YOU and Old Friend’s. So many sad stories but the good news is that they are at a wonderful place! Some have trust issues with people. I am going to be “working” with them-mostly just hanging out, talking, feeding treats, eventually grooming and walking them. I’ll also be cleaning stalls,etc.-whatever needs doing. There are Arabians,Quarter Horses, burros, miniature horses, one thoroughbred, and three mustangs-forty in all. I am so glad you have known nothing but kindness in your life! I feel so blessed to have the time to do this right now.Anyway,I guess that’s all for now.Oh-for anyone interested, the name of the rescue is River Edge Farm Horse Rescue-there is a website. Peace<3

Zenyatta, thanks for sharing the pics! You are TOO CUTE!!! The white marking on your face always reminds me of a tornado, which suits you perfectly since you were like a tornado when you competed and blazed past everyone in a fury! Much love to ya!
