Happy Saturday Everyone!
I hope all of you are getting ready to have a wonderful weekend! I have been out grazing and ENJOYING LIFE THE ZENYATTA WAY! As I have mentioned to you before, the grass is amazing here. I’m really getting an opportunity to enjoy and experience the famous KENTUCKY BLUE GRASS! Also, look at the absolutely GORGEOUS CLOUDS! This environment is very special! I feel so fortunate!
Dottie LOVES this photo of ME…and she really wanted to share it with ALL of YOU! She thinks it almost looks like a painting of ME…rather than a photo! My coat is so healthy and I still have all of my dapples! She commented to ME that I look FABULOUS! Blush, Blush!
Also, thank you for all of your kind comments for Dawn Conrad. It truly is a GREAT PHOTO OF HER! You are right…she does look very HAPPY!
Everything else is going well! It is only one week to the Preakness so there is a buzz about that race everywhere. The Peter Pan runs today which is a warm-up for the Belmont. It is nice to see that the New York Racing Association brought this race back this year. Last year it was put ‘on hold’ due to budget cuts, so it is great to see this stake back on the schedule again. It should be a very exciting race!
I also want to mention another terrific thing that happened yesterday. My dear Family Friend, ALPHA MAMA, had an A.P. Indy colt last evening. Since A.P. INDY recently retired, this colt may be one of the last foals born to be sired by this amazing stallion. This baby is a big boy! He weighed in at 142 pounds and all is A-OK with both MOM and foal. This is TOO CUTE!
I’m just thinking ahead. 142 pounds…WOW! I know she is a very good-sized mare, but I would imagine that Alpha Mama is really glad that this foal is here and romping about now. This is all ‘food for thought’ for my future! I am really trying to keep up on all of these details and pieces of information as I continue to prepare for my next role…that of becoming a MOM!
Enjoy your day, today’s races, and your weekend!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~Especially ALPHA MAMA and her new A.P. INDY Colt

My dear Zenyatta, I have been away from Decatur Island taking classes for 2 weeks on becoming a care giver for a friend who will only be able to live here if she has a part-time caregiver. Before I left for classes I played her the 60 Minute show about you and now she loves you too.
The worst thing about being away from my computer was not being able to find out what is happening in your world.
You can imagine how happy I was to see the beautiful photo. You are a personal inspiration. You are an equine and proof that an equine can have a kind and tender heart and can treat everyone you meet with sweetness……We can all take a lesson from you and can emulate your gentle disposition. God Bless You and keep you happy in your beautiful environment. Love to Dottie too.

I honestly hope we do not hear from you tomorrow Cindy. Your discord and comments are not welcome here. Find another site to create some action.

Thanks for info on Street Cry and Dubai World Cup.
Maybe you already know this, William Farrish of Lanes
End knows Queen Elizabeth and she has visited
Lanes End. It would be sooo wonderful for the Queen
To meet Queen Z. I am sure she would love her.
Zenyatta’s dad very cute. Street Cry is so handsome. Bridge
Was really lucky to get a visit during breeding season.

Anger management classes would definitely be helpful
For your displacement.

Dear Queen-Z & Team-Z,
What a beautiful photo of you enjoying your wonderful life at Lane’s End Farm. It’s great to see you looking so healthy. Thanks for this “window” into your life. You’re so kind!!
Hugs to all. Fondly, OraJean

I think it is time for of the grown-ups to ” leave the room” and let the children continue to fight and call each other names. When a male told a female to get off the “crack” I was appalled! The arguing has to stop! The few of you need to be the ones to get off this site and return when when you have regained some manners. Read some comments. Others are weary of some of you. Much thanks.

Good night, sweet Zenyatta. Happy horsey dreams!
Good night, Team Z-especially Dottie and John, Ann and Jerry!
Good night, fellow Z fans and horse lovers! Warm wishes to all-
Good night, moon.

P.S. good night, John-Boy!

Cindy from LA. Yes, I had heard that Queen Elizabeth stayed at Lane’s End in 2007 when she went to the Kentucky Derby for the first time. She had always wanted to see the Kentucky Derby in person. The Queen loves horses. They always bring a smile to her face. She has only recently given up riding them herself on official occasions like her birthday. The newspapers say that she is very excited at the chance to win the Derby with Street Cry’s colt. She already has a connection to our Zenyatta through Street Cry so that a meeting would be special. I am not certain if there are any plans for a visit to the US in the near future.

What interesting connections The Queen has all
Over the world. I did not realize that the Queen rode
At special royal occasions. How exciting these connections
Are especially to Zenny. I would love to see a pic of
Zenny and The Queen. Zenny always says how small
The racing/horse world is. Too bad Will and Kate are
Not coming to KY!!!

@Cindy from LA—Thank you for your posts which give us valuable information about racehorses past and present. I always learn something from you. And like you, the last thing I want to do is to offend Dottie or the Mosses. I take their wishes very much to heart, as do you. Please forgive me, however, if I say that I think you have misinterpreted Dottie’s remarks about respecting Zenyatta’s privacy. I think she meant that Team Z has chosen not to speak publicly about her breeding schedule at this time—not that they want the rest of us to stop thinking, hoping, speculating, or discussing this very important eventuality. Dottie has even been dropping hints herself, but I think she and the Mosses don’t want the Queen’s public to get too invested emotionally before a reassuring measure of time has passed indicating that the expected pregnancy will most likely go to term. Your passion on this subject clearly comes from a good place, namely respect for Team Z and a desire to protect this website which we all hold so dear, but I hope you will reconsider your judgments of other posters here who are, in my opinion, also making positive contributions and whom I would not like to see discouraged.

Dearest Zenny, While I was composing my thoughts to share with Cindy from LA about the issue of your privacy, a whole new brouhaha broke out concerning posts about a horse in Australia called Black Caviar. I don’t know if you read all our comments, but I think you would find her very interesting and be supportive of her efforts and the interest some of your fans (who will always love you the most!) are taking in her. It was sad to see a diary entry that started with such a beautiful, peaceful picture of you in the serenity of the bluegrass end with bickering. By the way, that photo is so magnificent, maybe you could get it reproduced for us to buy as a giclee on canvas—it would look even more like an oil painting that way, and I bet you could raise a lot of money for one of your charities. Good night, sweet Z, and pleasant dreams.
@Quarterhossgal—Thanks for your reassuring post about weaning. It’s good to hear your kind, calm voice speaking from experience.
@Max—As you already know, I’m one of Zenyatta’s fans who appreciated learning about BC here on Z’s website, and I continue to be interested in all the horses you link us to. I appreciate what you wrote about wanting to hear more from those who have had first-hand experiences with Zenyatta, and I know that you have been following this site for half a year already, and thus don’t need to be told what a wonderful site it is. I expect you figured that out for yourself, and that’s exactly why you are here.

Interesting to read over the weekend that Zenyatta’s yearling half-sister by Henrythenavigator has been sold to race in Ireland.
I’ve not seen the news anywhere else but it was in Saturday’s edition of the European Bloodstock News.

@ TRINA: Well said. I went to bed with a sick feeling after reading posts. RE: weaning: At the farm where we used to keep our horses, they bred on a limited basis. When it came time to wean, the babies were put with “Mama Bert”(Bertha)-a big Percheron who was one of the sweetest, most maternal beings I have ever known She had had babies herself but was older and those foals ADORED her! One of our geldings was also very patient and occasionally had a baby with him. We remember seeing a foal pulling on his tail and him slowly and patiently backing up. Will post later today- Have a great day, everyone! Love you, Zenny<3

Stunning picture of you Z. I thought it was a painting. If you visited Bernardini a few weeks ago, it’s the best kept secret in the Bluegrass. LOL Hope you did….. hope you are…. you know what.
Roberta Smith
I too love the picture of you! You are such a pretty girl! Congratulations to Alph Mama and her boy! So glad you are enjoying KY. We are gonna try again with Dialed In for the Preakness..so hooves crossed! Luv you Zenyatta…have a wonderful day!

Sad to say, but ‘Cindy from LA’ (Aka Especially Horses or whatever the handle was) has been a drudge on this site for months. It’s a constant stream of HARRASSMENT of other members, trying to CONTROL what others post and think and attempts at moderating the site and content all the while slamming and accusing others of doing the same thing.
.
If ANYTHING takes down the site, or even just the ability to use the comments section, it will be posters like THAT.
.
On another topic…for the life of me, I don’t understand the resentment of sharing excitement about other horses here. The focus has never been taken away from Zenyatta. *I* think if people wish to add mention of an exciting horse who’s running, the more the merrier. Black Caviar is an amazing mare in her own right. Too much hating going on here guys! I know we’re all (well, most) capable of better : )

Hi Zenyatta. Whoa, 142 pounds – congrats to Alpha Mama and AP Indy. Would love to see pics of big baby. Your picture is just beautiful grazing in the blue grass of Kentucky – you are simply stunning!! Can’t wait for the day when you are a mama – wow – what a baby that will be. Stay healthy and gorgeous, eat well, and have loads of fun with your BBFs. Love you, Angel in Disguise.

Good morning Zenyatta from the rain capital of the world. I hope you are having better weather in Kentucky. The children are in an assembly about robots. It is really cool. I showed them the video of the pony. Thay all laughed. That video is just TOO Cute!!! We all hope you have a good and the children think you look beautiful in the picture. We love you Zenyatta. Hugs and Kisses from Shari and Homeroom 215 XXXOOO
@Dottie thank you for being the Horse Whisperer as my children would say. They read the site and some of the posts. I thank you for all that you do :)

@ I made a mistake sorry. We all hope that Zenny has a good day :)

Dottie, thanks for sharing the beautiful photo of Zenyatta. I too thought at first it was a painting. Here’s an article on Eblouissante, Zenyatta’s half-sister. May she do well in her own right and have her own legacy. http://www.drf.com/news/zenyattas-half-sister-starts-training
