Good Morning,
Happy Friday (the 13th)!
I hope ALL of you are doing very well. Everything here is fabulous. I am feeling terrific, doing GREAT, and very, very happy! It is gorgeous here at Lane’s End and the time I’m able to spend outside is so relaxing. I like to stand on the top of the hill and just look around for hours. It reminds me so much of what I would do each day at Barn 55! My paddock friends are all so sweet and we have a wonderful time together!
I want to introduce you to our ZENYATTA BRONZE CONTEST WINNER, DAWN CONRAD, of Cedaredge, Colorado. She has received #19 of ME! Here she is holding ME right after she opened the box! I am so excited…and so is DAWN!
Again, I’d like to thank all of you who participated in the contest. Dottie and John have saved ALL of your postcards. You are all SO SWEET and wrote so many special things! Thank you so much for all of your kind words and thoughts!
Again, CONGRATULATIONS to our winner, DAWN!
Have a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Wow! Lucky lady! I don’t think I could ever put it down! It’s beautiful! Congratulations, Dawn! Enjoy your beautiful weather, Zenny!
Abigail from Montreal
Hi Dawn. Great to see a photo of you holding Zenyatta! I’m certain this is the stuff memories are made of for you.
QUESTION: Who discovered that Zenny liked Guinness? Or does John normally share a Guinness with his horses?
Thanks!
Abigail

Oh Dawn, Congradulations to you. I wish I could afford one. Would you just hug #19 and rub that dancing leg for me? Colorado isn’t Missouri but it’s close enough. ha. ha.
@Sue N. Maybe we should organize a Zenyatta convention.
WOW Pirate Queen plus Mineshaft that is so awesome.
It has turned cold here and we are back into a very cold spring. Enjoy the nice days Zenyatta. Again a huge thank you to Jerry and Ann for helping Old Friends and to all of Zenyatta’s fans who helped too.
Hugs and High Hooves to you all.
Cathy Marshall
Whoa… nice statue. Congratulations, Dawn!

My Sweet Lady Zenyatta, Congratulations to Dawn!!! I love the photo Dawn sent to you! The look on her face is pricless! What a thrill it had to be to open that box and see the bronze of you! I can’t even imagine what that would feel like. I want to Thank You & The Z Family for providing this contest as a way to send in our thoughts & meanings of YOU. I know I’ll never get to meet or see you in person but I wanted to you to know what you have meant to me so I got to do that by sending in a postcard to Dottie & John. I love you, Zenyatta and my heart is so happy that you are feeling good and enjoying life as you should be at beautiful Land’s End. Zenyatta, I got to see the photos Land’s End posted of spring there. What a taste of heaven on earth for you, my Angel. Zenyatta, I close my eyes and open the windows of my mind and I can see you standing on top of that hill in that lush green Ky grass, with your head held high, ears up & forward in a beautiful stance with the sun shining down upon your body in a glow. I see you taking in the sights & sounds, and looking content & happy with where you are. You are such a magnificent beautiful sight to behold of grace & beauty knowing that everything is right in your world. Sending Hugs & Kisses From Alabama With Love, Amanda G.

congratulations to the winner Dawn! We miss watching you race Zenyatta!
Margie
Hi Zenyatta, enjoy your view from the hill top!
@Dawn – when your name appeared in the original drawing, I said “meant to be.” I guess it was! Congrats.
@Ensign – where have you been? I feel as though I missed a post, or something. Thanks for the clear explanation re Lasix. Question: were you associated with Personal Ensign?
Lisa g
Ms Zenyatta, Dawn, she is such a lucky girl. You look so beautiful in Bronze. Glad you are having a good time outside. I really, really wish I knew what you were thinking when you stare out like that…I love you, Big Girl…Lisa g.
ENSIGN
Hi Margie!
.
I only visit the blog on occassion lately, it’s been a busy time :-)
No, I wasn’t/am not associated with Personal Ensign though I’ve met her a few times through work. Amazing mare : )
Hernan Tovar
My dear Zenyatta, your statue is beautiful, I am so glad you are enjoying the out doors… Congratulations Dawn, you know we all envious you, we all wish we can purchase one, because we all love Zenyatta so much. Ingrid.

WOW!!!! That Bronze is Amazing!!! I so want one!!!
Peggy
Congratulations Dawn, I have been on vacation this week and actually got in here early to post today. Thank you so very much for sharing with us. It is just beautiful. It is larger than I thought it would be.
@Ensign, so glad to see you back.
@Laura J it was so enteresting to hearing you talking of the gate issues. A friend of my brothers just bought a Thoroughbred filly that was having terrible gate issues, I think they could just never get her to cooperate, Anyway chuck bought her. The same guy is boarding her that told my brother he would board one for me also. He is suppose to be very good with horses. He is from Ocala. I will have to check him out before I want to put a horse in his care. I’ll have to see how he does with Chuck’s horse. I do not know him. My ideal scenario would be to just have a horse on my land beside me. I do have land but its right off an exit of an Interstate Highway through Georgia. Not a good spot for a horse as the past has proved. Anyway, I do hope and believe something will work out in the future. I think for some of us its just something thats in the blood and it never goes away. I had horses all during my childhood and that love has never gone away.
@Everybody have a wonderful weekend.
I just read that Leroidesanimaux, Animal Kingdoms sire is at Stonewall Farm, Ocala, and yep you know it-I would love to go see him. There’s that love coming out again.
Love Ya Zenny
Kirren
Congratulations Dawn! Thank you Dawn (and Z and Dottie) for sharing the picture with your little Z!!! I also did not realize just how big it was.
Love and miss you, Z!
Sandy
Wow! Like many of the others, I had no idea that the bronze was so big!! Sincere congratulations to Dawn. The picture is just beautiful, and I know you must be SO happy to have such a gorgeous image of Zenyatta. Now as to you Zenny, the mental image of you standing on a hill surveying your new domain is just priceless! Enjoy the good weather and your friends, and thanks, as always, to everyone on the team for keeping us “in the loop.” Love from your Ohio friend Sandy
Peggy
Oh, and I meant to say that Bronze is just TOO CUTE……..I want one too…….
Lisa g
O, to have a Bronze Zenyatta…o, to see you in person, before my time passes….o, to have hope.
Trina Nagele
@Peggy from CT—I loved your poetic prose about the ever-expanding radiance of Z, “our horse of forever.”
@Chris H—How great to have your own horse Sugar immortalized in bronze! Is it life size? That annual outdoor sculpture show sure would be fun to visit. What town is it in?
@Sally—Yes, you’re right—we all share in Dawn’s happiness, just as Liz said yesterday, she was so happy seeing the photo of Team Z with their Eclipse awards, she felt as if she herself had won one. That’s how Dottie makes us feel with Z’s diary—like we are part and parcel of Z’s team, one big happy family. Thanks, Dottie!
@Ensign—Thanks for the info that Pirate Queen visited Mineshaft. Best wishes to her too for Mother’s Day next spring.
