Good Morning,
Yesterday was such an amazing day! Ann, Dawn and Dottie all flew to San Francisco to attend the Professional Business Women of California Conference. It was held at the Moscone Center and attended by approximately 6000 people.
As Dottie has mentioned in the Diary before, I was the KICK-OFF for the INSPIRE portion of the program. Carolyn Johnson from ABC News San Francisco introduced Ann, Dawn, Dottie and ME! She stated several of my accomplishments and achievements. Then they played a 3 1/2 minute video showing my races, my dancing, my TEAM and my fans. It was beautifully edited and done! At this point, Dottie was reintroduced by the Chairman of the Organization, Ann, and she discussed how MY TEAM hopes I can be a true INSPIRATION to people in their lives and their careers!
As a surprise, the PBWC gave Ann, Dawn, and Dottie the plaque we are showing you in the photo…making ALL OF US Honorary Members. What an HONOR! They have so many distinguished and accomplished WOMEN in this group…but I believe I am the FIRST HORSE! This is absolutely a complete honor and TOO CUTE!
I want to THANK everyone who helped to make this happen. In particular, I’d like to thank LINDA who worked with Dottie on this project for months to be sure it all went very well.
It was a very exciting day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~(Especially LINDA…thank you again!)

@Val from OZ-who are you to say what Zenyatta would talk like? I think that Dottie knows her a lot better than you do. If you don’t like the things she writes, you don’t have to get on this website. Also, my prayers go out to Michael Baze’s family. Such a talented young man. That’s so sad. As for you, Zenny. Congratulations again on your award. No one is more deserving than you. You are truly an inspiration and you are TOO CUTE!!! Loving you in Lexington :-)

Cangratulations Zenyatta and team. So sad about Michael Baze. What a loss for the sport. He brought out the best in the horses he rode. Love you Queen. Hugs and Kisses
Mike from Ca
TOO SAD Michael Baze.. Heartbreaking to say the least, prayers sent out your way. The Baze’s are great and have always been great! Michael, you will be missed!!

Thanks Debbie G.
Good to know there are still plenty of brains to be had at the Emerald Isle.

I choose to think of Dottie saying that everything is Too Cute as a way of teaching all of us to be better and kinder to animals. That they have feelings and emotions. I’ve seen numerous horses that I don’t think are so beautiful but others do. I’m trying to learn this.
Have you met Queen Z??? I have. I have a picture of her with her muzzle over my shoulder touching my chest. She was actually looking for a carrot but it looks just like she was giving me my own Z hug. The second time I met her she was standing outside Barn 55. Her head raised with her ears pricked. After watching her for an hour or so–dealing with all her fans I think I can safely say that she is so regal. Gentle and kind off track and yet the tigress of them all on the track.
I think Dottie giving Z a “human voice” is not about Dottie but about how Z sees us humans. I choose to think of this board as Z’s board–that SHE is talking to us. That somehow she is able to transmit her thoughts and emotions to Dottie who interprets them–and then puts it into human.
Rita
Hi Z Congrats to all, I am so happy for you Z.

Congratulations! Thank you Zenyatta for the cheer you have given our waking days. Just to think of you is a joy. Hugs and Prayers

Sorry to say that there are allegations of cocaine use in the Michael Baze case. I don’t want to hear any more.

This is absolutely spectacular and what an honor. Congratulations Ann, Dawn, Dottie and you our special dear Zenyatta! You all are such fantastic individuals and well deserve to be recognized and made honorary members. And Zenyatta, what a special treat to be the only horse in the organization, it’s great!
Love you lots sweetie-hugs and kisses to you!

Congratulations Zenny!! Once again you’ve gone someplace where no other horse has gone. :) And once again your fans have to say what an inspiration you and your Team truly are.
On a sadder note, sincere condolences and prayers to the Baze family. Such a tragic loss of Michael Baze, whatever the cause. Bloodhorse.com has an article from May 10th and then another from today about Michael.
Everyone have a great end to the week.
Lotsa love to all.

Dearest, Zenyatta. Congratulations on your wonderful honor!!! The day does sound so exciting. I love the plaque and of course the wording is perfect!!! Zenny, I have really enjoyed the responses to your diary posts the last couple of days. There are so many amazing women out there that are part of your special Zenyatta fan family. They are all doing remarkable things in their lives and have shared some very inspirational words of their own. Fantastic!!! Hope you have been enjoying the sun on your back, some tasty Kentucky bluegrass, great paddock pals, human friends, pears, bananas and peppermints. Sweet dreams are made of these. Hugs and kisses. XXXOOO
@Jane in Seattle – Thank you for the memorial link. I too wish to offer my condolences to the Baze family.

Wow Zenny, this is something! What an honor, to have this plaque presented in honor of you the “Great Zenyatta.” You continue to inspire all of us– your “people” friends. I read yesterday’s post this morning at work. I want to tell you Zenny, I loved yesterday’s post. I printed it out and place in on my piano so you can inspire me to practice. As an adult, I am running around doing this and that. If I really want to become good at playing the piano I must find the time to practice. And I know your post will definitely inspire me to do so. Your Ann and Dottie must have been so excited to be a part of the fabulous conference. That is a lot of people: 6000. My group attends conferences all the time, and I know there is never 6000 in attendance at any given event. Also congratulations to Ann, Dottie and Dawn, three great women behind a great horse, Zenyatta! Love you, Zenny!
Diane
Congratulations dear Queen Z and Team Z!
When we sent in our postcards to you, I wrote that you, Zenyatta, have inspired me to be the best I can be, exactly what
this award is for. Every day I hold head up higher, smile and push forward to be a better individual in this world and love my friends, family and pets like there is no tomorrow. Thank you dear Zenyatta for all you do! XOXO

You go big beautiful one and team. There will never be another like you!
So sorry to hear about MC Baze. I wonder what happened. May he walk with God!

It says to “the great Zenyatta.” Truer words were never spoken. She is indeed the GREAT Zenyatta. Congratulations to you Dottie, Ann and everyone honored. It is so deserving! An interesting note: bookies are taking bets that Black Caviar who is a sprinter will not equal Zenny’s 19. The belief is she will not get there and equal the Queen. She races in Australia I believe and she is a wonderful horse. But no one will ever be the Queen’s equal in my eyes.
Sheri
That is soooo cool Zenyatta! You are so amazing and inspiring! Love you Zenny!!! :D
