Good Morning,
Today is such an inspirational day! It is the Professional Business Women of California Conference. Dottie has been working with Linda from this organization for months now. I have been asked to KICK-OFF the INSPIRE part of the conference. I wanted to share this news with my dear friend, Michael Cline. He is one I often discuss my various situations with at Lane’s End. He helps me out SO MUCH!
Ann, Dawn (my vet for years) and Dottie are all flying to San Francisco to attend and participate in the events. It is very exciting. They are going to introduce me and some of my accomplishments, play some video which will illustrate the highlights of my racing career and then have some additional speakers reviewing so many of my charitable efforts and professional achievements. This is such a FABULOUS DAY!
From what Dottie has told me, they have NEVER honored a horse at this level before this. I am so EXCITED. This is ABSOLUTELY TOO CUTE!
It is so wonderful to be considered in this light…as one who can INSPIRE! This means the world to ME! I have tried to do my best, work hard, and achieve at a high level…but often this is not enough.
You must always strive to do more. To be your VERY BEST, to do your VERY BEST, and achieve at the highest levels….takes great work and dedication. I am extremely proud that people realize I also needed to put forth a GREAT EFFORT, lots of hard TRAINING, and total DEDICATION to achieve my goals! I never gave up….I just kept working hard! It is great to be recognized for what one has achieved!
The Conference is totally SOLD OUT! There will be approximately 6000 people attending the 3 sessions that are being held today…with everyone returning to the main convention center for the INSPIRE portion. I KICK it off with the help of Carolyn Johnson from ABC San Francisco. Then Isabel Allende will speak. She is an international author. The final speaker will be America Ferraro who earned an Emmy for her role in Ugly Betty.
Connect, Explore, Inspire…these are the 3 topics for the Conference. It should be an amazing program and I am extremely grateful to be a part of the entire presentation.
In some way, I hope I can touch the hearts and souls of some of these people. I hope to ENCOURAGE THEM TO SEEK A NEW CHALLENGE and to BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE! DON’T EVER GIVE UP! My motto is to KEEP WORKING HARD, DO YOUR VERY BEST, AND NEVER LET THE THOUGHTS OF OTHERS INTERFERE WITH YOUR PROGRESS, ABILITY TO MEET YOUR GOALS, AND YOUR ABILITY TO HAVE A POSITIVE SELF-CONCEPT!
ALWAYS STRIVE TO MOVE FORWARD AND TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN WHATEVER YOU DO!

With Love,
Hugs to All~

Dearest Sweet “Z”,
Good morning! I hope you are getting your beauty rest after such a busy week with all of your favorite people! I can picture you still cuddled up…I am having my tea and enjoying the eagle cam. The mother eagle just woke up and so did the babies. The wonders of nature! Thank you so much Judy M. :)

Dear Z, I have a horsey question for you. When you meet with Bernie, do you get to enjoy any foreplay, getting to know each other first, type of thing. I sure hope so. You’re so beautiful. I truly hope he gets to lay his eyes on your full beauty as part of foreplay. Let me know sometime, okay! I’m so curious what it’s like in your world of love. hooves crossed!

Hi Z
I hope you are thinking about writing a book. I don’t think it’s been done before, “from the horse’s mouth” and you are just the one to do it!
I drove by Lane’s End on Monday before leaving town. Did you see me wave?
Have a great day!

This is too precious! The mother and father eagles just came back with fish and are feeding the baby eaglets!

Zen, You have inspired hearts and souls of many people long before now! I am one of them! You deserve the best of everything ~ always!

@Paula Higgins–No doubt that Zenyatta will be the highlight. From my male point of view, I believe that conferences of this type are quite beneficial and helpful. Wouldn’t mind seeing a video of the Zenyatta presentation if the ladies would not mind. @Shari Voltz-The death of Michael Baze is a shocker. He was the leading rider at Arlington this year. Hope foul play was not involved.

Dear Z:
You are such an inspiration, especially for young people in today’s world. They have a lot of economic difficulties ahead and I hope they will harness (pun intended) your POSITIVE, NEVER GIVE UP, BE ALL YOU CAN BE spirit and determination. Love you so much. Love to all of you. Judy and Russ

Miss Z, you inspire EVERYONE. I am a Detroit Red Wings fan and on the day we lost our third game in a row to San Jose (sorry I know they’re from your home state), I switched my fb profile pic from hockey to one of you – the original never give up, come-from-behind-and-win specialist. And guess what happened? The Wings won 3 in a row and are going on to game 7! People here in Detroit are so excited! I’m keeping your picture up until the playoffs are over as inspiration to be sure the Wings hang tough and never give up. Thanks Z!!
(I’m a superstitious sports fan, so I think it isn’t just a coincidence!) Hooves Crossed!

Z you are truly an inspiration. I so loved watching you race. And was so thrilled to get to CA to actually see one in person. Wish I had gotten to meet you though. I am so thankful that your connections keep us in the loop with your care and your life. Love you!

Bravo Zenyatta and to Ann & Dottie, as well. Go girl power. It sounds like a fabulous conference. They could not have chosen a better being to kick-off INSPIRE. Anxious to hear about the conference after Ann & Dottie return. I would love to just wrap my arms around your neck and give you a great big hug. You always make my day Zenyatta. Keep enjoying that beautiful sunshine and Kentucky bluegrass, as you have everyday of your life. Angels are amongst us. Love you Zenyatta.

Our hearts are in tears over the death of Michael Baze. So young to leave us.

Remember in 2003`s Seabiscuit the young Red Pollard`s test to earn his horse, and his father at dinner quoting for him Emily Dickinson? “We never know how high we are `til we are called to rise; and then, if we are true to plan, our statures touch the sky. The heroisms we recite would be a daily thing, did not our selves the cupids thwart . .. for fear .. to be .. . a king!” See http://newempressmagazine.com/2011/05/07/poetry-in-motion-pictures-part/ ‘Poetry In Motion (Pictures): Part 8 | New Empress Magazine.’

Zenyatta your award and presentation for BPW reminds me of my mother and all of the years of work she did for the organization. You are one remarkable horse and your team is remarkable too.
