Good Morning,
Today is such an inspirational day! It is the Professional Business Women of California Conference. Dottie has been working with Linda from this organization for months now. I have been asked to KICK-OFF the INSPIRE part of the conference. I wanted to share this news with my dear friend, Michael Cline. He is one I often discuss my various situations with at Lane’s End. He helps me out SO MUCH!
Ann, Dawn (my vet for years) and Dottie are all flying to San Francisco to attend and participate in the events. It is very exciting. They are going to introduce me and some of my accomplishments, play some video which will illustrate the highlights of my racing career and then have some additional speakers reviewing so many of my charitable efforts and professional achievements. This is such a FABULOUS DAY!
From what Dottie has told me, they have NEVER honored a horse at this level before this. I am so EXCITED. This is ABSOLUTELY TOO CUTE!
It is so wonderful to be considered in this light…as one who can INSPIRE! This means the world to ME! I have tried to do my best, work hard, and achieve at a high level…but often this is not enough.
You must always strive to do more. To be your VERY BEST, to do your VERY BEST, and achieve at the highest levels….takes great work and dedication. I am extremely proud that people realize I also needed to put forth a GREAT EFFORT, lots of hard TRAINING, and total DEDICATION to achieve my goals! I never gave up….I just kept working hard! It is great to be recognized for what one has achieved!
The Conference is totally SOLD OUT! There will be approximately 6000 people attending the 3 sessions that are being held today…with everyone returning to the main convention center for the INSPIRE portion. I KICK it off with the help of Carolyn Johnson from ABC San Francisco. Then Isabel Allende will speak. She is an international author. The final speaker will be America Ferraro who earned an Emmy for her role in Ugly Betty.
Connect, Explore, Inspire…these are the 3 topics for the Conference. It should be an amazing program and I am extremely grateful to be a part of the entire presentation.
In some way, I hope I can touch the hearts and souls of some of these people. I hope to ENCOURAGE THEM TO SEEK A NEW CHALLENGE and to BE THE BEST THEY CAN BE! DON’T EVER GIVE UP! My motto is to KEEP WORKING HARD, DO YOUR VERY BEST, AND NEVER LET THE THOUGHTS OF OTHERS INTERFERE WITH YOUR PROGRESS, ABILITY TO MEET YOUR GOALS, AND YOUR ABILITY TO HAVE A POSITIVE SELF-CONCEPT!
ALWAYS STRIVE TO MOVE FORWARD AND TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN WHATEVER YOU DO!
Hooves Crossed!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Hi Zenny!
I’m wondering if any of your fans have been watching this nest in Iowa. It’s a nest of 3 eagles who were born (hatched) on 4/2, 4/3, and 4/6!!! They are baby Aries, just like YOU!
http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles
The nest is 80 feet above the ground. If everyone will go to the above link, they can read all the details because they are TOO CUTE!!!
They have a mommy and a daddy with them every single day… one will fly off to get something for them to eat, but one is ALWAYS with the babies :-) Daddy is very maternal ;-)
They have been together since the winter of 2007-2008. TOO SWEET! :-)
The nest is about 6 feet across, about 4 feet deep; it weighs about 1000 lbs!!!
The live video feed is streamed online 24/7. At night an infrared light provides night vision to viewers through the cam. Infrared light is not visible to eagles, they do not see it or know it is there.
The female is larger than the male. This female has a ridge above her eyes that goes further back than on the male, and her eyes are surrounded by a greyish shadow; the male has a line around his eyes that makes them look “beadier.” Some think that the male’s head is “sleeker” than the female’s.
I just tear up every day I watch them grow… I think you would love them too, Zenny, because you will be a loving mommy one day, too!
HUGS & KISSES MY QUEEN XOXOXOXO
p.s. I’d like to know if anyone “visits” this nest and what your thoughts are… ENJOY!!

Bravo Zenyatta. This is another well deserved honor for you and your team. To have so many talented women in power positions on Team Z means that you are a trendsetter. I also like the fact that you are the leader of your little group of mares at Lane’s End. Great hopeful story.

Wish I could be at the conference- it would be so cool to see your portion of the program!

I would hope that every single teacher who might be reading this blog would make sure that everyone of his or her students would read this entry and know that truer words were never written. I would hope that these words would do as intended, and inspire all of us to do our best.
Thank you Zenny and Dottie.

I had the benefit of attending the California Women’s Conference in Long Beach in 2009 and 2010 These are truly inspirational and impactful events and it so awesome that you and your accomplishments, commitment and courage will be recognized. Your journey is a blueprint for others – on and off the race track. Your team is an example on giving to the community and caring for others.
Congratulations Zenyatta and Team

I am a volunteer at a therapeutic riding center in Tennessee, and I can tell you that horses make such a difference in peoples lives. When you look at the faces of the people riding them you can tell they feel great even if it’s just for a short time. I help feed and take care of the horses for the center, and it makes me feel good knowing what these animals are capable of doing.

Some true words of wisdom – thank you for sharing!

Congratulations Zenyatta!
Continue to be an inspiration and great example to all! Yes, dreams can come true with hard work!
Congratulations to Ann, Dottie and the entire Z family. You made it possible for her! I wish I could attend the conference. I would love to listen to Isabel Allende. I read all her books. She is one of my favorite authors. I like America Ferraro too. She is a talented actress.
Zeny we are so proud of you.
Hugs and Hugs, Marilu

I haven’t wrote you in awhile.. Just wanted you to know, I read you posting daily and can’t wait to hear how you are doing. Even if I don’t write all the time…I just want you to know that you have my heart and soul when it comes to my love for you…my dear queen.

You are an inspiration to all – your hard work and determination shines through in so many ways! We sure do miss you racing but so thankful Dottie shares you with us all!

What a wonderful day for you and your team!!! You all epitomize the word INSPIRE–everyone at the conference cannot help but be inspired. Those who already know all about you will love seeing and hearing about your exploits again–and those who are not familiarb with you already will simply be in AWE!
Know it is a proud day for all of the team!! The honor is SO deserved and will surely not be the last that you and your team receive!! Will there ever be another racehorse who is so influential to the racing world and to the rest of the world as well??? I very much doubt it! You and yours are truly remarkable and you are all leaving big footprints across the world–and will continue to do so!!
This site inspires me every day and you and the team are in my thoughts and prayers on a daily basis. As much as all of us tell you,I wonder if you and your family will ever really understand how grateful we are to have you all in our lives and how much you are all admired and loved. It really is beyond the power of words to convey!!
May you dream tonight of pears and peppermints and may tomorrow give you the sun on your back and a soft breeze to ruffle your mane. LOVE YOU!!!
Cindy
Your royal highness…who BETTER than you to be the keynote “speaker” and to kick off this auspicious gathering? There is no more inspirational figure, no more outstanding character, no more accomplished individual (human or canine) that they could find. This is entirely appropriate and I think that this conference will have a launching pad beyond their dreams, thanks to you. Rock on Queen Z.

Ooops!! I seem to love to make up words!!!Familiarb??? I don’t think so!!

Z…you are so wonderful….now all those women at that conference will get to see exactly why all us fans love and care about you so much. You have always trained hard, raced hard, and you have shared your wonderful personality with all us fans…who love you so much. It is amazing to see your kindness towards people ..you do inspire…like Ann said on the 60 Minutes show…you choose to be gentle all the time. That says it all…..hugs to you Z….

Zenny: You and your team have nurtured the seeds of inspiration in so many people, including your truly. As a former teacher, I want to stress your message –to be the best you can and never give up, no matter what some people might say. Students I have taught who believe this have gone on to conquer the world! So many of us are stopped dead by what others say, but I think that if one has inspiration from a great athlete like you, Zen, and from a Team that is so committed to doing the best they can — all the time — then this lights a candle for others. Our greatest enemy is ourselves in so many ways. But when we learn to trust ourselves and our abilities, wonderful things can happen.
Wishing Dottie & Co. a great conference! Love & hugs to you, big girl, and to Dottie….

Words to live by Z! You are an inspiration to thousands!

Dearest, Zenyatta. Congratulations on your remarkable day, Zenny!! How cute you are telling Mike all about it and the green grass and trees are lovely. You so deserve it, beautiful. As a professional business women, I too have been dedicated to achieving my goals. First in my educational pursuits and then in my career. The words you and Dottie have written in today’s post are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your belief in hard work, dedication and doing your best. You are inspirational to thousands, Zenny. Not only did you have the talent and fire to succeed, but you did it with grace and kindness. We can all follow that example. With Ann, Dottie and Dawn you have some outstanding ladies representing you at the conference, each have their own amazing abilities and outstanding character! They too are inspirational!! Hope they all have a great time in San Francisco and we hear more about the conference from you when they get back. Sweet dreams. Hugs and kisses. XXXOOO
@DJ – The poem was wonderful!!
@Shari Voltz – Hello my friend. I was just thinking, that you see the inspiration of Zenyatta first hand everyday in your wonderful students. By your marvelous introduction of Zenny and Team Z into your classroom, you have given them wonderful examples to live by.
Cynthia H.
Dear Zenyatta, from the tack room to the board room, you inspire people from everywhere and from every walk of life. You and your Team richly deserve this recognition, and every other possible honor which is bestowed upon you and them. You have taught us that the toughest competition we will ever face is with OURSELVES, to be the very best we can be. It’s like putting on blinkers (something which, for you, was never necessary): keep your eyes on the prize; prepare/train with total dedication and perseverance; maintain a strong sense of self, with kindness to others; run as hard as you can; and never give up. All one ever needed to know about courage was vividly illustrated in the final stretch run of your racing career,
You not only INSPIRE the world, you INSPIRIT it as well. Standing ovation, Ann, Dottie, Dawn, and ZENYATTA!
Perhaps the program will be taped, so that we might all have the opportunity to share in the inspiration!
