Good Morning!
It is another FUN day here at Lane’s End! I am trying to catch up on all of my BEAUTY SLEEP as there is a great deal of activity happening during Derby Week in town and I want to look my best!
I’ve just been told that I have OVER 80,000 Facebook Friends. This number has really grown since I’ve retired from racing. I can’t thank ALL OF YOU enough for wanting to keep in touch with ME! This is a HUGE number! I’m so proud!
Then The Moss’ and Dottie are coming into Lexington late tonight…so I’ll see all of them a great deal during the next few days. This is TERRIFIC! I am SO EXCITED! I also have some visitors coming who bid on visits with me for various charity auctions. This is always very rewarding. I am so happy to help others in any way I possibly can.
When reading the comments and responses, I am so glad that you enjoyed viewing the 60 Minutes piece again. Marilu V. asked if it was EL VINO working with me on the tape during the program. YES, it was! That is why John always said he deserved the award for SUPPORTING PLAYER! He worked with ME often to help prepare ME for my races and he did a FABULOUS JOB! What a GREAT GUY!
In life, it always takes people working together to make a difference. I was so very fortunate to have so many people who worked hard with me…and cooperated with each other to make it all happen for ME! I couldn’t be more grateful!
Over 80,000 FACEBOOK FANS! This is just TOO CUTE!
Blessing to all of you!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Zenny-I like when the CBS commentator said “She’s had a romance
or too” . I’m so happy you are so loved and ask for nothing in return. They also said “14 people each day put their hands on you”.
If I ever visit KY, I would love to stand in your presence.

Hey, Pretty Girl! You don’t look that big all curled up in your room- looks very comfortable. I know your family can’t wait to see you – it will be so fun! It’s so generous of you to donate your time to help others-and give someone a memory of a life-time! I know you like to meet people. That’s a great quality- I’m pretty shy but maybe I can learn from you, Zenny. Have a great day!
It would be great if each of your FB friends could send one dollar to Old Friends!
@ ANYONE: Is there a way to watch the Kentucky Oaks besides on TVG (I think that’s the channel-we don’t get it)?
GO, ZAZU!! by the way, was that the name of the smallest girl in “It’s A Wonderful Life”?
Warm thoughts to everyone and especially those affected by the tornadoes.
LauraJ
It looks like Joyful Victory under Z’s buddy Mikey is the current 5-2 favorite for the Oaks. Zazu under Joel Rosario is co-second choice along with Kathmanblu at 4-1. Zazu has post position 6. Joyful Victory is on the rail.

Hi Big Mama Z! You don’t need any beauty sleep. You’re always gorgeous! But, that picture of you is so adorable. Have fun visiting with friends and family. Enjoy Derby week! Love Team Z!!
Hannah Buchanan
I encourage all of your Facebook page fans (if they aren’t already) to become members of the official Zenyatta Facebook group! It was created by one of your fans in TEXAS (that’s me) for fans all around the U.S. and beyond! Thanks! -Hannah

Dear Zenny – When I think of the word beautiful, I think of you. You bring so much joy and happiness into everyone’s life. If I had to make one wish, besides of course health and happiness for friends and family, my wish would be to be able to spend a day with you. You look so cute and sleepy in your picture. You definitely don’t have to catch up your beauty sleep, since you are so beautiful already. God bless beautiful girl. Love you lots. xoxoxoxo GO LAKERS!!!

Good Morning Love,
Derby Week is here and let’s hope the wheather is nice and our “family” of horses run great. I will root for Pants On Fire and Rosie, Brilliant Speed because of Dynaformer and any woman trainer that has a horse entered. Call me sexist but I want a woman to win, if possible. :)
You look so snug in your bedding and of course, Regal.

What a magnificent horse our Zenyatta is
and what a wonderful team she has. Do
you folks think that Good Morning America
would feature her? If so, just think of
how this would enhance the interest of
horse racing. Other charities cojuld be
helped as well…i.e. older retired race
horses etc……just thought…trying to
help….Blessings to all and “luv ya “moore”….Dottie from CA

I thought you looked very happy in the 60 Minutes segment! I’m suspect to think something wonderful is happening to you right now but we won’t talk about it-just have good vibes and thoughts! Can you post some pictures with CA Family when they visit!!!
Susie Cartwright
I love you Z! I saw you on TV too cute you even made the 60 minutes guy tear up! Being near you is awesome!!

@Dona, Kathy Ritvo is saddling Mucho Macho Man and Kathleen O’Connell is saddling Watch Me Go, so it’s a possibility. MMM is a serious contender.

I am glad the weather is starting to cooperate with the State of Kentucky. Is your John going to be visiting you during Derby week? I hope so for there is no finer human being, per Rocky Freitas, than your John.
With the Derby wide-open it should be interesting. I hope you have a bright and sunny day Zenyatta.
Love you!

great article on facebook page from ocala style magazine! Quote “She was a very laid back filly. She slept a lot and took regular naps,” Jeanne remembers of the now famous mare. “She never had any problems. She was a very pleasant horse and smart.” FUN read for more go to

Zenyatta: You look so comfortable and tranquil resting on your bed. It is such a nice picture which makes me want to nap too. Life looks good at Lane’s End. You however do not need much beauty rest. You are the most beautiful horse ever. I love to see you in all of your pictures. Zenyatta, Beauty Queen.

Have a GREAT visit with YOUR family Zenyatta! We all miss you!

What a TOO CUTE photo of you laying in your stall at Lane’s End… You look wonderful! I am so happy to hear that you will your California Family visiting you – you are such a lucky horse.
El Vino was such a great sport in helping you train, it’s good for him that you retired, he finally got to win one! Too cute.
Dottie, thank you for updating us on Zenyatta and the industry also. The sport needs more media support, NBC is really trying hard this year to market the Derby, I really think Zenyatta had a lot to do with this even though she did not run in it. I think that because of the Breeder’s Cup races she was in had a lot to do with this new trend. Anyway, THANK YOU – THANK YOU – THANK YOU!!!!!!
Zenny and Dottie, have a great time together this week, can’t wait for the next updates – these should be too cute… please post some video and photos of this wonderful time together.
Hugs and Kisses.

@mars. Great article about Zenyatta in Ocala Style. She is such a role model in everything that she does. We can all learn from this super mare.

Hi Beautiful Lady Z. You look so pretty and comfortable. Is it raining at Lane’s End? It’s raining where I am,and I can’t think of a better place for you to be on a rainy day —- in a comfortable bed to take a nap. You look lovely as always. Love you. Hugs.
Marilu V
Hi Zeny and Dottie:
This is Marilu V. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my question if it was El Vino training with you. What a great buddy you have Zeny! Hope I can visit him at Barn 55. I would love to see Harmonious again. I was so lucky Harmonious came out and enjoyed the sun while I was out there visiting you. I took a lot of pictures of Harmonious too. Hope El Vino and Harmonious will stay healthy and win great races in the months to come.
Have a wonderful weekend Zeny with Dottie and the rest of your Family!
Love and Hugs, Marilu

Darling Z, more beauty rest? I really do not know how you can be any more beautiful. However, rest up so you can have a great time with your family visiting you from CA.
You look marvelous!
