Happy Saturday!
On May 10th, the PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS WOMEN of CALIFORNIA will be holding their yearly conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California. This organization was founded in 1989 by U.S. Congresswoman Jackie Speier. It is dedicated to advancing the professional and personal development of women of all ages and and on all levels. The PBWC provides tools, resources, and a strong business community to encourage women to succeed and contribute at the highest levels in all aspects of various fields, businesses and industries.
I am honored to say that I have just learned one of my fans has spoken to them about ALL of my accomplishments as a Female Athlete who achieved this success while residing in California. As a result, the PBWC wants to include me in their program. How proud and flattered I am at this moment! I’m pretty sure a HORSE has not been part of their program before this!
The conference has 3 different presentations outlined for the day. They are CONNECT, EXPLORE and INSPIRE! My work and achievements have been selected to KICK-OFF the INSPIRE portion of the program. I will be followed in this part of the presentation by Carolyn Johnson from ABC 7 News, International Author, Isabel Allanda, and then America Ferrara, who is an Emmy Award Winning Actress for her role in the series, Ugly Betty.
If you are interested in learning more about PBWC or the conference, here is the link:
I can’t begin to tell you how truly elated I am at receiving this news! INSPIRE!! Wow!
It is gorgeous in Kentucky today. My pals and I are really enjoying this great weather. Then tomorrow…60 Minutes is airing an update on ME! I am so fortunate!
Have a very special weekend!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

@Judy Berube. I like this name – Smart Life – for Life is Sweet’s new foal. He is a handsome little guy.
@ENSIGN. Do you have any information on the background to the name of RA’s sister? Is she a Jackson filly and would there be a family member with the same name?
Theresa in LA
Whoa! Came on to say hi to Zenny and read some of the daily info. Joyce, you are really on an ego trip! You are unbelievable! Not cut from Team Zenyatta’s cloth that’s for sure.
Mike in Ca
Joyce, quit your complaining or keep it to yourself. This site isn’t for complainers. If you have nothing to share, than don’t share anything. The rest of us are better off without your negativity!
Sunny Boyd
Good morning, Zenyatta
yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaa, it took 10 yrs, but it is done. Kudos to the SeaBees for getting it done. This was totally justified. Yeeeeeeeehaaaaaaa !!!!
@ Joyce
ditto.
well, how does one feel, after the ‘Premier’, it was a repeat for the most part, but it was nice to see all of your group again, except I would like to see Dottie once, putting in her 2 cents, we have never seen her, and I wanted to see more of you in your paddock w. your pals. You owe us a roll in the mud, Missy. With the title ‘Zenyatta throws Mud’ :) :) :)
Have a great day :):):)
GO MIKE GO !!! REMEMBER THE GIACOMO!!!
sg
@Sunny Boyd
Second your “ditto” to Joyce.
It would have been nice to hear from Dottie! Zenyatta’s coat looked beautiful in LE shoot. Wonder how long it took for her to roll in mud after that shot?!? ;)
Mike in Ca
If you cannot tolerate diversity, go to another website.
Mike in Ca
Joyce, take a look at the eaglecam website. If Team Zenyatta wanted those regulations here they would have posted them. Look for a false sense of control somewhere else. Talk about issues!
livey
@Joyce- Agree with Ensign and others – Nice post and politely stated
.
.
@sg-her coat did look, Bu-tea-full!!! Was thinking same thing about mud though. :)
Gloria Jeanne
Zen – You are just so AWESOME!!! I’m glad that 60 Minutes is hooked on you like I am. It was wonderful to see you dancing in Kentuck, I wish that could have been longer, but I’m just happy to see you happy in your retirement. You make me smile and cry. Love you lots, Hugs.
ENSIGN
@ Max,
.
I believe I read that Samantha Nicole may be the breeder’s other granddaughter.
.
Shameful to see that after Joyce’s polite post, the nasty brigade rears it’s ugly head once again. Geeze people…..
Terry
@Joyce
What are you talking about and who are you referring to? Be specific. You come off as angry without cause. You do not own this website. It belongs to all who would like to support in their own style the owners and trainers of this great horse. You may need to stay away for your best interest because you cannot change people. Best to work on yourself.
Gloria Jeanne
Thanks for posting the 60 Minutes link here, I was not able to watch it last night. Thank you :)
livey
@Ensign–Hopefully when you hear something about Z and her ‘condition’ you’ll let us know? ;)
&
your comment about the “nasty brigade”…ditto
Shari
Let it go friends. There are some here that are pot-stirrers and they know who they are. Those with an authentic maturity say nothing and read what interests them and do not even think to tell others what to share. If you notice, the latter are those being belittled. So just quietly continue and ignore the control freaks! They must have very small lives to worry about monitoring a website that is already monitored. It is embarrasing to read.
Maria
@Joyce
OH BROTHER!!! Find something to do or go teach a kindergarten class. They will follow your instructions good Teacher!
Ann G.
@Joyce
Sounds like you need your own 60 Minute Interview since you are so important and know how things should be done here. Thank you for helping us to solve a problem that does not exist except for yourself.
Barbara
It is obvious which posters have the college mentality and who is the ‘click.’ Wouldn’t it be great to just hear from those 4 people over and over each day? Brilliant Joyce! Talk about a dying website.
Marnie
Wow, the vitriolic comments just because of one posters post?!? Just an opinion like everyone else’s on here. Didn’t necessarily agree with all that Joyce said, but now I’m thinking she may be right-on in some aspects.
Susie
@Barbara-thank you! My thoughts exactly! Sadly, Joyce may be on to something. :/
Max
@ENSIGN. I looked at the line up for the Oaks. That is one strong field. I see that Mike Smith is aboard Joyful Victory. Her last practice outing was very impressive. Then there is R Heat Lightning. We will all hope for good results for Zasu.. Besides her connections, I love her name. If you repeat it over and over, it makes you smile. Very happy name.
Barbara
@Susie,
Sorry, I don’t think you understood my message. The ‘clique’ is made up of those who are threatened by friendships and sharing of what they think is ‘not Zenyatta’ or personal information, or news or anything else that they consider a labor to read. It shows a complete lack of maturity and class to insinuate to others what they should write and to whom and how. On the contrary, they are precisely the ones who are staying on the website reading everything and complaining. This has never been just a sound-byte website as a few would like it to be. It has always been friendly, caring and personal. I believe Joyce’s comments were rude and disrespectful on a personal level to the gentle people here who have made friendships in which the Zenyatta team is so proud of.
Shari
@Barbara
Agreed. The comment was not of the caliber of the Z family, which tolerates all equally.
Shari
I should add “and quietly overlooks those comments one does not agree with.” That is the definition of politeness. Not saying something disparaging in a supposedly ‘polite tone.’
Susie
Barbara–My apologies, I most certainly misinterpreted your comments. We’ll certainly have to agree to disagree then. ;)
Rose
The greatness of ZENYATTA!!
livey
@Shari
I have to respectively disagree. I for one have been on this site from (almost) the beginning and I can say without hesitation that there is a segment on here that does not “tolerate all equally.” I GET what Joyce was saying -I know it struck a cord with some on here..how she delivered the message, but feel there is some bones behind what she said. Though some posters feel she wasn’t kind expressing herself, they in turn, turn around and lob it right back. Does that make it OK? Then, they are no different than what they are arguing against.
.
Clairfication-not attacking you, just a conversation.
ENSIGN
I’m sorry, but those that proclaim the loudest that this website is about peace and friendship and no moderation seem to be some of the nastiest posters in retrospect.
Just my opinion of course, but I can handle the slamming. God knows I’ve enojoyed plenty of it here ;-)
.
@ Livey,
.
I’m not saying a word about that!! A bullet proof vest wouldn’t save me ;-)
.
@ Max,
.
VERY excited for this coming week! And you’re right about Zazu’s name : )
Unfortunate that R Heat Lightening was withdrawn today. Hopefully we’ll see her back in action soon.
I am hoping Arienza points for the Eight Belles rather than the Oaks. I hate to see a promising filly rushed to meet her owner’s targets.
ENSIGN
@ Livey’s last post….. AMEN!!
livey
@Ensign-Of course. ;) Hell hath no fury….
Paula Higgins
Ann, I hope your husband feels better soon. I am glad he can wear his Zenyatta hat again. Yes, was disappointed about R Heat Lightning. Just shows once again what a marvelous job John and Mario did with Zenny. It’s a tough job keeping them healthy.
