Good Morning to ALL!
Yesterday was so much FUN! The 60 MINUTES Crew was here to take photos of ME for an update they are doing. All went very well! I gather they are going to replay part of the segment they did on ME in October and then add the current updates! From what we are hearing, they will show it as part of this SUNDAY’S program!
When my paddock mates and I were out in the field playing together, I was so tempted to get down in the field and roll! Then as I was almost at that point of getting down on my knees, I saw all of the camera crews arriving and thought it would be much more fun to go over and greet all of the people. I can roll in the field anytime. So, that’s what I did! Everyone was so kind! I can’t wait to see their footage. HOPE I LOOK FABULOUS!
This is TOO CUTE! Dottie called Dawn Conrad yesterday to congratulate her on winning the contest and to set up the shipping arrangements for her prize, the ZENYATTA BRONZE! Dawn is so sweet…and so excited! Dottie did ask her to promise to share photos of her with ME so we can all get a chance to see them. She said she would do so, for sure!
My pal, ZAZU, works again this weekend for the Kentucky Oaks. Then if all is A-OK, she will be flying on the Tex Sutton plane for the race. I think this is very exciting! Wishing her well, for sure! I know Dottie is busy making travel plans, just in case, and getting licenses and fees paid in advance. Like I mentioned before, there is a whole business side to racing…and thank goodness I only had to worry about BEING AN ATHLETE! That’s also true for my other stable pals. It is ALWAYS ALL TAKEN CARE IN ADVANCE FOR US!
I gather there is a current piece written about MY BARN 55 STALL and how it still has so many of my things in it. I thought you’d enjoy reading it! Here it is!
Have a fabulous FRIDAY!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

To Charlotte Farmer:
Enjoyed your post. Thank you for the info on the PBS program, “The History of the Thoroughbred”. Didn’t know about that and I will watch it. I wish PBS would do a documentary on Z, as they did on Seabiscuit, as part of their series, “American Experience”. She certainly is that. Hugs, Judy B.

Amanda G. I’m glad you are OK. Tornados are awful I used to live in tornado alley in Kansas.
Triana thanks for the notes on Noor I enjoyed it.
Zeny, I’m. eagerly awaiting 60 Minutes and hoping there might be a “big” announcement Blush. I know you were very gracious and welcoming to all of them.
Please thank Dottie for me for being such a gracious lady about things the last week she has a lot of class.
And I am anxious to see a picture of Dawn and YOU in her home. Personally I’d proably be sleeping with the bronze if it were me.
Also Dottie the contest, in my opinion was really a lot of fun and I do thank you and the Moss’s.
I’m rooting for Zazu and Mr. Commons I hope they get to come to Kentucky and you get to see YOUR FAMILY.
Carolyn Caswell-Brown
Dear Zenny, Thanks for the “ears forward” on 60 minutes this Sunday. I’m a sporadic viewer but this is NOT TO BE MISSED. Put a post-it on our T.V.! So many happy positives in these last two diary entries. The Gifted – Dyna King – recovery is a true miracle. Amanda, So good to hear you and your family are safe. We all will be keeping other families in our prayers. @ Charlotte Farmer: The article posted was a year old. Has any additional progress been made in preserving the gravesite of the great Noor? Last but not least: Lighting a candle of love & rememberance for Barbaro. May our past champions never be forgotten. Love & Peace

Could you please give us an update on the status of your relationship with Bernadini?
I recall reading that after you lost the first foal you were going to see him again the following week. But then there were no updates about whether that appointment or other ones were kept and successful.
I realize the first time was sad and disappointing to many fans, but these things happen and we’d love an update.

Can’t wait for Sunday night! About time 60 Minutes came back!! I’m betting that theiur first “interview” with you was one of their highest rated shows! I think they should do a Zenyatta update every week! LOL
Love you, Sweet Zen!

@Carolyn Caswell-Brown. Please check my post a little earlier in this site. I found an article about Noor and the grave site that was from February of this year. So far, I haven’t found anything newer than thia. I really liked this article. It has pictures of Noor and a lot of history about him.

I can’t wait to see the 60 Minutes show about you on Sunday, it will be the highlight of my weekend. I liked reading the story about your stall at Hollywood Park. I miss you Zenny, it hurts.
Love you – stay well and be happy you are so loved.

My adorable Zenyatta, YOU ARE A DIVA… I cannot wait to see you again in 60 minutes, in this moment my tears are running down my cheeks because when I read about
your stall in barn 55 and with Mario’s respond my tears ran faster.

I will be watching Sunday night. I can hardly wait. I still have the segment from October. I have to get my Z fix and watch it quite often. Sounds as though all is going well and that you are having fun with your friends. Take care and be in touch. Love you Z with all my heart. xoxoxoxo

Hi my precious Miss Personality, Z! You could never take a bad picture from any angle! So happy to see you and to know 60 minutes was there!! I can tell you had fun! I hope Dawn Conrad expresses to us what it was like talking to Dottie. I guess we had felt such a void until this post!! Your buddies at barn 55, wow, I can not imagine if it were me to not be able to see you each morning. But, they know you are happy Z! I’m cheering for Zazu just like you Z! Love with a kiss on your soft nose.

Looking forward to seeing you again on 60 minutes Zenyatta! You are such a ham and how could anyone not be taken in by your exceptional personality. You are so missed. You keep on shining and sparkling brighter and brighter than the stars up above. Thanks for helping me through my most difficult days. I love you lots Zenyatta! Blessings to you

How do you describe perfection…ZENYATTA. And 60 minutes recognizes it..good for them. It’s even better for us who are ready to see her again.
Paula Higgins
Amanda G. so glad you are o.k. but very sorry about your sister-in-laws family. Can’t wait to see Zenny on 60 Minutes! It is great that CBS gets how important she is to horse racing history and her fans. It would be wonderful to see a picture of Dawn with her statue!
Julie DuVall
Fingers crossed for Zazu. She is such a beautiful girl! I can’t wait for the 60 Minutes segment on YOU … what a great way to start Derby Week!
Ayla
Hey big Zenyatta we all love you and always will. You are the insprition to our lives and we miss you on the track and how everybody gave you a carrot on that breeders cup day and that was awesome. No matter what you will always be more important to me than that of any other horse.Once again thank you for all you have done. :-)

Thank you everyone for making this a place to come and escape into positive and caring thoughts when we most need them. The many links and informative posts from everyone is such a bonus and a pleasure to learn about Z’s world. The heartfelt concerns for the welfare and accomplishments of all our fellow Zenyatta fans is so refreshing. May John and Mr. Commons do well, be it in the Derby and/or Preakness, and may the “other” John S. do well with Zazu in the Oaks. And lets not forget our dashing Mike on Twinspired in the Derby. Tomorrow a remarkable sprinting Australian mare Black Caviar will attempt to continue her unbeaten streak as well. May all of you come home safe and sound to continue your journeys. Most importantly, thank you Dottie, Ann, Jerry, Mario, Steve, and the many who have loved you from the start, who allowed you, our beautiful Zenyatta, to bring us so much love and joy in all that is the very special you.
Mike from Ca.
Thanks Trina – great article! Especially due to the fact that John Shirreffs had a helping hand in this. I am not surprised at all in the goodness of these modest people and true humanitarians. We all benefit from their sincere efforts. Great investigative work!

Hey Big Mama!
I’m so excited – 60 MInutes is doing a follow-up! I’ll be watching! :)
It would have been so cute to watch you rolling in the dirt but I’m glad you didnt – you would have been a dusty mess! ;)
Z, what’s the word on your second date with Bernadini? I really hope you catch and are able to keep it this time. He’s such a handsome fella! And I hope you get more dates in the future; I think you two will make beautiful babies!
Luv you muchly, have a great wk! :)
Mike from Ca.
By the way, Charlotte A. Farmer,
If the post today was from you, not sure -but thinking the best anyway – thanks for stopping by. This is a great website.

@Charlotte Farmer–I should have known you knew about the Seabiscuit connection with Noor. I have visited Seabiscuit’s old home ranch near Willets, California several times. The barn where Noor stayed is kept in preservation by the farm’s owners. For our friends from Canada–I was at Zenyatta’s farewell at Hollywood Park, actually both of them, and there was a young lady there from Toronto by the name of Ira (pronounced era)who was just learning about Zenyatta and felt compelled to attend her final appearance. I had a most pleasant conversation with her and filled in the gaps about Zenyatta and she has been my friend ever since.

Sorry for the error: Black Caviar’s next run at continuing her unbeaten streak will be at the BTC Cup on May 14th and the Doomben 10,000 on May 28th. For those of us missing Z’s races, this mare’s 12 race streak and fan base may fill some of the void.

Good evening, Zetty
did you wear your best hat, ‘Team Z’ today, I did :) I wore my pink cowboy hat. Those brits love their hats.
I’ll be sure to tune in on Sunday, also the journalist who worked the Mid-East, Laura Logan is going to recount what happened to her in Cairo. It’ll be interesting all the way around. But I can hardly wait to see you & your paddock pals :) :) :) ooh that will be really nice. Logan’s accounts so far sound heartwrenching. It’ll be hard to watch, but what a courageous woman, I take my pink cowboy hat off to her.
Did you pucker up, I was thinking, had you puckered up at the end of your last race, with your big snootie, you would have won the race. Cause your snootie is really out there, and your famous pucker, would have given you the advantage.
But in my book you’re No1.
Well, it’s time for 40 winks and dreams of carrots & mints :) :) :)

Dear Zenyatta You are so beautiful and tall. I can’t wait to see the segment on you. I will tape it to show the children. They want you to date Uncle Mo and keep telling me this everyday :) I forgot to tell you that we had our class picture taken and you are in it with us. Three of the children held two pictures of you and one little girl held the ribbons off of the gifts you sent us. Miss Zenyatta you are forever carved into our hearts. I mentioned the horses I saw with the Royal Wedding and one little boy asked how come Zenyatta was not in it. I mean you are always on our minds. What a special girl you are. We love you so much. I talked with Dawn yesterday and she is VERY EXCITED and promised a lot of pictures. I can’t wait to see them. Well my sweet sweet girl it is late and I am so tired. I hope you have a good night with peppermint dreams. Hugs and Kisses from Shari XXXOOO
