Happy, Happy Thursday to Everyone!
This is a very exciting day for several reasons! First of all, I am getting some fun visitors from the 60 Minutes Crew! They did such a great segment on ME when I was at Barn 55. Their staff came and spent a complete week with John, MYSELF, and all of My Team. Now they are coming out to Lane’s End to get some current footage of ME for a follow-up piece. This will be fun!
My paddock mates and I will all be looking TOO CUTE for them! David has been speaking with their offices to help get it all organized. I’ll let you know when 60 Minutes is going to air this piece. I’ve heard…it could be this Sunday…but I’ll find out more once everyone is at the farm with ME!
On another note, I want to THANK ALL OF YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT ME in your comments and responses! At this moment, everything in my life is moving right along perfectly. I’m in terrific shape, extremely healthy and very happy. I’ll keep you posted as time goes along…but at this moment I could not be better! BLUSH, BLUSH!
Also, as the Kentucky Oaks is getting closer, my friend, ZAZU, looks like she will be coming to KY to participate in this race. She will work again over the weekend…and if all is A-OK, she will then be on the plane and coming for the OAKS. This also means I’ll get to spend some fun times with Ann, Jerry and Dottie. They will be coming to town. I’m so EXCITED!
As for the business side of ME, I have alerted NINA KAISER (our sculptor) to have #19 ready to go for Dawn Conrad, our contest winner. I know Dottie will be calling her soon to get all of the postal particulars so the BRONZED ME can be sent safely to her!
Whew! Now that I have taken care of my business matters for the day….I’m off to exercise and play in the paddock with my friends. YIPPEE!
Have a wonderful day!
With love,
Hugs to ALL~
Z

To all my fellow z-fans: i also want to hear from amanda g in alabama and anyone else in the storm-affected areas. i just had a text from my daughter. an owner of one of their patients (a foal) was killed in the tornado in tupelo, alabama and one of their anesthesia techs lost a horse when a piece of flying tin cut off a hind limb. i’m so upset i can hardly type and for some reason i thought of you all first. please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, as i know you will. this is such a compassionate group of people and i knew you would all care. Zenny and Team Z: i will write you later- so happy to hear from you! the kindness starts at the top, doesn’t it? hope that makes sense!

don’t know if i was clear- the PERSON was killed in tupelo.

Did anyone read Steve Haskin’s profile on Mucho Macho Man, Born to Run.
It was amazing, when he was born he was not breathing and his breeder started praying, all of a sudden he jumps up and runs across the field.
He is a June foal so is still technically a two year old and running in the Derby.
If interested go to Blood horse put in his name and you will see Steve’s story. AWESOME

THANK YOU, KIMBERLY POTTER! i always smile when you write “#1 fan in montana” !

Can’t wait for the 60 minutes piece to air, always make us feel so much closer to you Zenny. Just saw a great piece I think was on TVG about your impact on a Austic child that brought me to tears, i wonder if you know how deeply you touch us all in one way or another.
Amanda
Can not wait to see the 60 Minutes update! Also, if reading between the lines I’m thinking that you have already had another date with Bernardini and just waiting until after 45 days before announcing your preggo again so we will not be sad if something had happened again. Love you Z and good luck to Zazu and Joyful Victory in the Oaks.

Beautiful Zenyatta, You are indeed a very good business woman, and I must say, this news is more exciting than the Royal Wedding. You are just too much. Love you, pretty girl.

It was great to hear from you Z…yes, you do have so many business matters to attend to….thank goodness for your personal assistant, the wonderful Dottie. Us fans adore her just like you do. As I read you will be on 60 minutes….I left the computer..set my DVR for all the 60 Minutes so I will not miss you. I know you will be happy to see Ann, Jerry, and Dottie soon. You are just Too Cute…and us fans love you very much! Check out your Facebook page sometimes and you will see. Hugs to you….have fun with your friends.

Dottie…very vague commentary. “60 Minutes” wouldn’t be the award winning program that they are without getting a definative answer from Lane’s End or you folks on the mare’s status. Anything less would be poor journalism on their part. I suspect some type of announcement to be made during the piece if it does not leak out before hand. You know how this game is!! Naturally we all hope that her repro process has/is progressing routinely and that the news will be of a positive nature.
Lauren
Dear Zenny – I can’t wait to see the new 60 minutes piece – the previous one was awesome. I am so happy to hear that you are doing well. After all you have done for all of us, you certainly do deserve some ME time to do nothing but hang out and have fun. I hope you are rooting for the Lakers in the NBA semi-finals. I know you are a California Girl so any help you can give the Lakers would be greatly appreciated. I am a die hard fan from New Jersey. Have a blessed day beautiful girl and keep enjoying life. Hugs and kisses xoxoxo

Zen, You are a ray of sunshine. Your upbeat attitude is an inspiration.

@Donna: Thanks for the heads up on MMM by my man, Steve. It was excellent, I love to read the stories behind and after the racehorse. Great, great piece. I will have to go to Steve’s FB and let him know that once again, he has thrilled me. Again, thanks Donna, so interested in the Triple Crown I have been missing some of the pieces in BloodHorse.

Dear Z,
You look wonderful and we’re so glad that everything is going along smoothly for you. So great to know that we will be seeing another segment of you on 60 Minutes. Love you. Dottie and Team Z thank you so much for all you do and sharing Z with her fans. Love to all of you, Judy and Russ

Blush, blush…Zenny, I think there is some news you are dying to tell us! We can wait though…after all we can be a very patient lot. You know, only real STARS get featured on 60 minutes and not many get a follow-up. You are the Queen for good reason…there just isn’t another like you, nope, and there never will be. Dottie, thank you for helping Zenny relay this diary post. Many of us have been worried about her because of the weather and other stuff (blush, blush). It seems as if everything is progressing nicely. All I know is this place is a wonderful distraction from everything else going on in the world.
Hugs and lots of peppermints, Zenny.

The Mosses love this mare. It is so evident and we are so darn lucky that they continue to share her with us.

To Kimberly Potter: How sweet. We play the lottery every week. What a great way to share. Tell you what, we’ll do the same if we win. Hugs, Judy and Russ
