Happy Wednesday, Everyone!
This is TOO CUTE! Here are my 2 very special friends, Carmen and Michelle, drawing the SWEET SIXTEEN cards. These people will advance to the next level of the ZENYATTA BRONZE CONTEST! I must say, I just love the fact that I’m dancing right over Carmen’s shoulder while all of this is happening! I feel like I’m really participating in all of these activities right along with YOU and my BARN 55 Friends!
As you can see, these girls are really following directions. Carmen has her head turned away from the bucket and Michelle’s eyes are closed tight. Each one drew out 8 cards. What FUN! And, of course, there was NO PEEKING!
Here are the names of the 16 people who will move on to the ELITE EIGHT!

Congrats to the Sweet 16.. I see 3 are from my area lol.. Seattle, Bellevue, and Tacoma.. I am from Kent.. So of course I am pulling for the 3 Washingtonians.. I thought of you Zenyatta and your loss of your foal.. My friends who breed Appaloosas had a Mare have a miscarriage. They dont know when it happened. She was getting close to her due date and had the vet out to do an exam and found there was no baby. The mom is a stocky mare so they didnt know she had passed the foal. And now yesterday they had to 2 days ago they had to euthanize a foal who would have been 2 months old on the 20th. He suffered a broken leg.. He was in a freak arena accident a couple weeks ago and they were treating the skin injury but over the weekend they noticed he wasnt putting weight on the leg and when they went to rewrap it they found the bone sticking through the skin so they immediately euthanized him. It was sad for everyone cause we all saw this foal born on webcam and came to love him and losing him was like losing our own pet..

Hello Zenyatta, I called Lane’s End Farm to see if I can get a tour so that I get a glimpse of you when I go Louiville for the Derby on May 4th. I made my flight 2 days before the Derby to hopefully get to see you. I was told by Lane’s End that they are not opened for tours during the mating season until July4. Also, the tour is only for the stallions and not for the mares. I ask the person if there will be a special tour to see Zenyatta because I was never into horses until I saw Zenyatta racing on TV. I truly hope that the Moses will talk to Lane’s End Farm to make special arrangements for fans to see you. I am sure I am not the only one who feel so strongly about this. I live in New Jersey and you were never allowed to race in the east coast. And now you have retired!! I have never seen you live and I love you so much. I am so disappointed that I think I am going to cry…..:(

I cannot believe I am still there never won anyting in my life. All my co-workers are cheering for me saying I am your biggest fan but I know we are all your biggest fans. I have a painting in my bedroom of you that was done by a local artist and the signed lithograth I have framed in my bedroom and my signed poster from the breeders cup in my workout room. How wonderful it would be to have the bronze statue. Good luck to everyone and a special fingers crossed for Cathy and Sharon, fellow Pacific Northwest lovers of the Queen!!! Love to you and your wonderful team for this fun contest.
