Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday the drawing of the 64 names took place in my stall at Barn 55. Steve and Mario each drew 32 names from the big tubs. Before this, we put ALL of the cards into these tubs and mixed them around and separated stacks of them at a time like you would a deck of cards. Then Steve further stirred and mixed them over and over again by transferring them from one big bucket to another and shaking them around. He poured 1/2 the cards into one tub and the rest remained in the 2nd container. This took quite a bit of time, as we wanted to be sure all of the cards were separated properly.
After this, Steve and Mario went into my stall to get ready to draw the cards. They turned their heads (NO PEEKING) and each drew out 32 postcards. John took the photos!

PS…So sorry I could not post the names yesterday afternoon as we originally stated. They are just completing the painting of John’s office at the house…and all of the computers were covered up late yesterday and Dottie could not use them. Painting will be done soon! (YEAH…then John can hang up some great photos of ME again!) Thank you for your patience and for being so understanding!

Maybe I’m first to reply! How wonderful of all your Team, Zenyatta, to take all that time and work so hard to be sure all those who entered had a fair “shake.” (Evidently there was plenty of shaking and sorting those cards before the drawing.) I know this all took a lot of time and effort on everyone’s part.
Thanks to all who participated and shared your thoughts and stories with our Team Z. Hope that some of them can be shared.
Good Luck to All!
And thanks again for your inspiration, Z, which keeps us all so happily motivated.

Dearest Sweet “Z”,
So exciting! Congratulations All, especially Dawn, Gloria and some of the other lovely posters from our little team website :) Prayers for Japan, as they experienced another large 7.4 quake and are under Tsunami watch again…God bless those weary hearts and tireless souls. Thank you “Z” once again for opening up the clouds and letting the sun shine in!
Rachel Fabrizi
Good luck to everyone they picked!!
Joyce
Well, darn, not too close to being first, but then I had to figure out my thanks to all and how to share my excitement for everyone on the list.
Bryna Dambrowski

Congrats to the 64. I sent in around 100 cards and I guess it was not in the cards. Hee hee. I lost my baby boy Oliver on Saturday (13 yr old lab mix) and was hoping having a guardian angel up there would have helped but that didn’t happen either. I’m happy with all the photos I’ve collected of you over the last few years.
Laura Wetzel
Hi Zen and Team, well I did not get in but I had so much fun with my card entries, telling stories and pasting pictures on my cards. Thank you for the great contest. Good luck to everybody.

Congratulations to all who made the cut. Wish I had been one of them, but just participating was fun and exciting. I thought it would be a great idea to donate the bronze to the teacher that visited Zenyatta in a wheel chair. There is a YouTube where John Shirreffs talks about this special Zenyatta fan. After her visit, the teacher spent more time out of the wheelchair and used Zenyatta to help inspire her students. Was hoping to place that statue in her classroom. But I’m sure this bronze will inspire someone to do good things and help others. Again, congratulations to the finalists.

Hi Everyone- Sorry to those who did not make it. It’s still pretty exciting and wonderful to see the tubs of cards we all entered. I think it’s really cool that Mario and Steve got to pick the cards. I can’t wait to find out how many cards were submitted, what they look like and what they say. For me, that is really important to see how Zenyatta and her team have touched so many lives and brought so many people together.
Thanks Dottie for putting this all together and getting everyone on board, you are Truly the GREATEST RACING MANAGER EVER!!!! Thanks to JOHN, ANN, JERRY AND OF COURSE ZENYATTA because none of us would be doing this without YOU!!!! Love you!!!!
Sue Noel
How exciting! It’s fun to see some familar names made it through–was particularly glad to see that Dawn and Amanda made it!!Congrats and good luck!! Know all who are in the next drawing are thrilled–good luck to you all!!! It will be so exciting to see how it all comes out!! Hope Team Z will get to read a lot of the cards and enjoy them–maybe read some to the Queen herself!!
