It’s MY BIRTHDAY! Photo by John Shirreffs

Good Morning,

Well, to all of my friends born on April 1st…and ME…HAPPY BIRTHDAY! (That includes Dottie’s sister, Fran!) I think I’m having some FUN visitors today from California to help me celebrate. It should be exciting!

Here is my cake from last year’s party at Barn 55! This is the photo of me literally taking a huge bite out of it. As Steve reminded Dottie yesterday, ZENYATTA really likes frosting! I bet my cake this year will have some!

I hope you have a wonderful day! The postcards are arriving. We begin the drawing next week.

I’m off to get ready for my guests! We’ll take lots of photos to share with all of you!

    Sweetheart, I hope you have had an absolutely amazing time sharing your birthday with your gal pals, Sarah, David, everyone at Lanes End and those very “special” visitors from California. I was so happy to hear that company was arriving and I will be watching for some amazing party pictures. Is carrot or banana cake on the menu? Your selfless dedication to our wonderful thoroughbred champions is a testiment to your spirit of generousity and goodness of soul. I have been to Old Friends several times, it is one of my favorite places. On one visit, you joined us in our walk around the fields. What a pleasure! The stories you told, the love in your voice, joy in your eyes and pride in your beloved champions showed me that what you have given has come back to you ten fold. Thank you for all that you do!! Like many others, I will be sending a donation in honor of our beautiful Zenyatta’s birthday.
