Hello Everyone,
I truly want to thank all of you for the heartfelt wishes and love you have expressed to me since hearing ‘my not in foal at this moment’ news! You are so sweet and gracious in your kindness to nurture ME at this time! I so appreciate all of your concern!
I am really doing fine. In reality, this is not an uncommon thing to happen with a maiden mare like I am. It happened early in the breeding season so I will have ample time to be bred again and get in foal. As I mentioned before, so many things in life don’t always go as planned. Upon reflection, I know with my career, it would have been great to run at 2 or early 3…but I just wasn’t ready. Fortunately, MY TEAM knew that and worked with me on my own individual developmental schedule.
In relation to this current news, it is simply a minor set-back…but I will be fine. I guess I just love to do things at my own pace!
Please remember, I AM A GREAT FINISHER! Once I get into the rhythm of things…I have a history of repeating the pattern successfully…19 times in a ROW! Now that thought is just TOO CUTE!
Again, thank you…ALL OF YOU…for the love and concern you have so kindly expressed to ME!
Have a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

Dearest Sweet “Z”,
Yes, ‘your’ pace is all your own. It is not what we “Do” in Life, but what we “Are”…you are perfect as God has made you. Either way does not add or take away from your sweet self…you are heavenly AS IS. Blessings to your family and little Cutie-Pie Sophie too!

Zenyatta is telling the world something. Please listen to her. Understand and believe her. She is not to be bred to Berandini. Try another stallion……. Two miss carriages could be devastating to this mare’s future. Please be careful. Please put down that $1,000,000 effort needed for her first conception. She is a racing Mare who needs to be guided to be a broodmare. Good Luck to all of You.

That’s what I love about you, Zennie—always dealing with things with your ears pricked! You’re the only horse I know who raced that way. Maybe it’s much better that your prospective foal will come a little later……the weather will be warmer. Wouldn’t want the little one to catch a chill! Have a wonderful birthday tomorrow, big beautiful girl……..hope you get lots of carrots, pears, and bananas…….

Benoit & Associates
Zenyatta, the 2010 Horse of the Year, is the first horse to win the William H. May Award, given annually by the Association of Racing Commissioners International (RCI) to recognize the notoriety and service brought to the horse racing industry.
The RCI announced Zenyatta as the award winner on March 23 in New Orleans at its annual conference.
“Although no horse has ever received the May Award, the RCI Executive Committee felt that Zenyatta’s contributions to the sport were worthy of this award,” said RCI President Ed Martin. “From her multiple Grade 1 victories to dancing her way to the paddock for the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), Zenyatta was able to capture the hearts and spirits of racing fans around the world.”

A beautiful photo of Zenyatta indeed! The orange foliage in the background really sets off the beautiful by. Wow! Thank you for sharing the photo and such a sweet diary entry, showing compassion and concern for us once again. Amazing. Congratulations on winning the W. H. Hi adorable Z; this photo I should say, taken as whole, I should say gorgeous Z! Perhaps it is your signature blaze that makes you so adorable plus other “inner you” things to me. Indeed you are a finisher, thanks to your Z team; the rest left up to you! I know with the quality care at Lane’s End, wow, when your ready all things will work out. Good news is that you get to see your boyfriend again! My youngest 6 yr old grandson asked, “Are they married?”( ha )I answered, “in a horse kind of way”. I know your feeling great! Have fun, just wish I could see you in fall; meet you in your paddock! love and a kiss on your soft nose.
