Hello Everyone,
I truly want to thank all of you for the heartfelt wishes and love you have expressed to me since hearing ‘my not in foal at this moment’ news! You are so sweet and gracious in your kindness to nurture ME at this time! I so appreciate all of your concern!
I am really doing fine. In reality, this is not an uncommon thing to happen with a maiden mare like I am. It happened early in the breeding season so I will have ample time to be bred again and get in foal. As I mentioned before, so many things in life don’t always go as planned. Upon reflection, I know with my career, it would have been great to run at 2 or early 3…but I just wasn’t ready. Fortunately, MY TEAM knew that and worked with me on my own individual developmental schedule.
In relation to this current news, it is simply a minor set-back…but I will be fine. I guess I just love to do things at my own pace!
Please remember, I AM A GREAT FINISHER! Once I get into the rhythm of things…I have a history of repeating the pattern successfully…19 times in a ROW! Now that thought is just TOO CUTE!
Again, thank you…ALL OF YOU…for the love and concern you have so kindly expressed to ME!
Have a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

An early HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite girl! The ‘no foal’ status is just a temporary setback as you’ve said yourself. And in true Zenyatta style–it is perseverance and what happens in the long haul that counts. Have a wonderful birthday celebration on Friday!

Zenyatta…true words of wisdom and strength. We have to put our trust in that this was nature’s way of keeping you & the baby out of harms way.

Beautiful Zenyatta, The definitive word for you is breathtaking! This photo today is the best. You really don’t have to thank us for thinking of you, we are the ones that are so lucky to be allowed into your private life. And yes, you do seem to set your own pace, but look what you did at a pace that made our hearts stop. And you stay the course at your own pace pretty one, you will again come out the the champion of all. Tomorrow, I am going to celebrate your birthday as if you were here with me. I think it should be a national holiday.

I just read one of the posts that said Mike Smith would say how feminine you are and I totally agree. Alot of the commentators when you were racing would say how huge and forceful you looked, kind of like a brute, but that’s not what I saw at all. To me, you are very elegant and feminine. You always looked so graceful on the track and yes, very sexy indeed. You must have gotten Quality Road too excited to run the year you won your Classic (HA)! Lori
Margie
Hi Sweet Zenny, very fetcing photo of you! I’m glad you are doing so well and, as usual, exhibiting that positive Z attitude that is so infectious. Hooves crossed for the next time :-)
I have some very exciting news for you. Yesterday I was told by charitybuzz.com that I WAS THE WINNING BID FOR THE ORIGINAL ZENYATTA MONEIGH! I am beyond excited, Big Girl! A piece of art done by YOU, with your fabulous hoof print right in the middle. I will treasure it forever. The proceeds from the sale will benefit Rerun, another beneficiary of Zenyatta’s giving nature. I am so proud to own your Moneigh, Z; thank you for doing it and helping other horses, too. Is it any wonder you are Horse of my Heart? Love you! Yes, I do!

Hi Zenny, you are a great finisher and I know you’ll be a mom when you are ready. I’m just thankful that you are feeling good.
You are right, that is great photo of you! It is gorgeous!
I’m sure you’ll post tomorrow, but in case you don’t, I hope you have a very happy birthday! I’m sure your family will make sure it is special. Have fun!

I usually don’t post messages here, although I love to read them. I was so sad to hear “not in foal at this time”, I just cried out. I have been a fan since I first saw Zenny, when she beat a horse I was favoring. She absolutely “had me at hello”!!!!!! You go, girl, I know you can do this, just be sure to do it YOUR way. Oh and BTW, you and my only granddaughter share a birthday. How wonderful is that???? Love you Qeene Z!!
JJ
Thank you for the nice update. We knew you’d take this all in stride. It’s important for your fans to know that this IS a quite normal occurrence and that you’re still fit and healthy. We appreciate that Dottie took the time to send your words out to us. Perhaps she can also let your fans know that mares do come “in season” far more frequently than say dogs for example (but probably less so than humans!) and that it’s very likely you’ll be heading out for another date with Bernardini quite soon. (lucky fella, huh??) Wishing you all the best and a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY tomorrow!
And, yes…that is a spectacular photo of you. Absolutely gorgeous!
Tracy
Today my horse turned 10. He’s a great grandson of Seattle Slew and I love him to pieces. I hope you get all the treats tomorrow that he will get today. You rock! Happy Birthday great lady!
Kimberly
My beautiful Zenyatta – I never expected anything less than you doing something at your own pace…that is the way you have always done everything. Love you with all my heart…Your #1 fan in Montana!

Gosh, Zenny…I love that picture. You are so right…you kinda march to your own tune but always finish with a flourish and very successfully. This breeding thing will be no different. You are so easy to love….you really don’t have to thank us for anything. Tomorrow you and I share something in common…an April Fool birthday. Could I ever share some stories about how I was “fooled” over the years. But, my Queen, we April 1st. girls always have the last laugh. Sleep tight. Hugs and smooches to you.
Charlotte A. Farmer
That is a beautiful picture, but then again you take gorgeous pictures. The camera really likes you. You are beautiful both inside and out. I was just reading an article on Man o’ War, he only lost one race too. You are in good company fair Lady Zenyatta!
Love You!
tony
Love the picture, Zenyatta. You are a hottie for sure. Bet Bernie can’t wait to see you again.
Patty Smith
Zenny, I just love that you do things in your own way and at your own pace! It is so very YOU!!! I think all of your fans were more disappointed than you were…at least I know that is true for me. We all just want you to be in foal because we are anxious to see your baby! You, on the other hand, are just having a good time of it and now you get to have another date with Bernardini! So, what’s so bad about that, eh? :-) Take care and keep enjoying the process, and that goes for all of the people around you and your fans too!

We all love you,Zenny. And you’re right – you ARE a great finisher – probably the BEST EVER! So we’ll just hold our breath like we always did, even though we KNEW you’d come out on top as you always did. My dog Gus wants me to tell you that he was very sad last year when his sister passed away suddenly, but with the love and support of his friends and family,he got through it,and he’s stronger than ever. (Now he’s bugging me to get him another sibling, which I just might do,because he’s starting to drive me crazy!!) We’re all here for you,Zenny.
Love you,Sweet Zen!

Where do you live in TX. I’m in Houston near Sam Houston Race Park. I too have never bet on a horse, except Zenyatta when I was at the Breeder’s Cup last year, so I could have the stub for my Z album :) :)
