Hello Everyone,
I truly want to thank all of you for the heartfelt wishes and love you have expressed to me since hearing ‘my not in foal at this moment’ news! You are so sweet and gracious in your kindness to nurture ME at this time! I so appreciate all of your concern!
I am really doing fine. In reality, this is not an uncommon thing to happen with a maiden mare like I am. It happened early in the breeding season so I will have ample time to be bred again and get in foal. As I mentioned before, so many things in life don’t always go as planned. Upon reflection, I know with my career, it would have been great to run at 2 or early 3…but I just wasn’t ready. Fortunately, MY TEAM knew that and worked with me on my own individual developmental schedule.
In relation to this current news, it is simply a minor set-back…but I will be fine. I guess I just love to do things at my own pace!
Please remember, I AM A GREAT FINISHER! Once I get into the rhythm of things…I have a history of repeating the pattern successfully…19 times in a ROW! Now that thought is just TOO CUTE!
Again, thank you…ALL OF YOU…for the love and concern you have so kindly expressed to ME!
Have a wonderful day!
With Love,
Hugs to All~

I’m so glad to hear that you’re doing great and will soon be bred again to Bernardini! Beautiful picture of you by the way! You know, this seems a lot like your running style, you break beautifully from the gates, then its heart wrenching seeing you in the back. For a while, you would almost think thats where you will place. But then, when it seems like the race is over, you spring to life and end up crossing the wire in first place!! Lets just hope you win this race. :D

Happy, Happy Birthday Queen Zenyatta!

Precious Zenyatta, You are so wise to understand about ‘getting into the rhythm of things’. Once the timing is right and you get your feet underneath you exactly as you want them, WATCH OUT, huh?!?! We know your timing will be impeccable, my sweet wise one. Enjoy each day as it comes.

Stay Strong, sweet Zenyatta!!

I felt terrible that I was the first to respond to that post with, “Was this website hacked?” but I didn’t want to believe it was true. I am SO glad Z is being re-bred again right away. Maybe her and Bernie will recognize each other this time? We love her unconditionally, and are just really excited to see her be a mom!

Yes…..Z….you take things at your own pace. Hey you are retired like me now and after a busy rushing life…we can now take time to “smell the roses.” Just have fun Z….you deserve that for all the fun, excitement, and happiness you have brought to so many of us who love you so much. Hugs to you Z….. and I can see you running and jumping with your gal pals….such a happy sight.

Hi Big Mama Z! First, awesome photo of you! Got the cotton in your ears and everything! Secondly, the most important thing to me is that YOU are going to be fine. That’s all I care about. If you get in foal, have a baby, the baby gets to the race track, wins the KY Derby, Breeders’ Cup, blah, blah, blah, I will be the first one there cheering you on (and the baby). But if you never have a baby, I’m okay with that too. I’m sure the folks there at Lane’s End are taking good care of you. They better! I miss you! XOXO!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY-EVE! Z just as long as you feel fine, everything else will work out. The weather man said, warmer and no rain for this weekend. So may be you can get in some quality paddock time.

Just remember this, lady Z… Although the immortal Secretariat did not produce anyone even CLOSE to himself….He was still no less loved. You are no different….Even better, because you have that girl power! Happy birthday baby girl!!

ZENNY–I LOVE YOUR SELF-COMPASSION AND YOUR WONDERFUL, HEALTHY ATTITUDE!!!! What will be will be, and like I always say here, YOU are numero uno to us all. Tomorrow, your birthday, is Guinness time!!!! I’ve got a few bottles in the fridge and whenever you toast a great day with Guinness, so do I! Makes me feel I’m with you, dear Zenny!

Happy Birthday Queen Z!!

Zenny, the photo is stunning!! Thank you and Dottie for educating us on the world of horses. You continue to be an inspiration to all of us, and we are all relieved that you are doing well. You have established a soul connection with us that has blessed us for a lifetime!

Oh beautiful Zen, why you big stinker, it almost sounds like you did this so you could go back to see that handsome, manly, Bernie, son of my fav stallion A P Indy. Ha, Ha just kidding. I was so sad I couldn’t post for a couple of days, but now I see what a great attitude you are showing, and I know you are right….. a late closer indeed ! You are going to have the loveliest baby ever and it will be worth the wait for your team and all of us fans. Whats a couple of weeks difference anyway, maybe you can now get a an Aries baby. Luv the pic of you and the comment someone made about you wearing your pearls….Ha,ha. Luv and kisses on your nose
Dani
Oh and I also meant to say what a magnificent photograph by Mr. Kaiser. It almost looks like a painting. It’s so exquisite it could hang in the National Gallery of Art here in Washington. Can you imagine the crowds that would flock to see it? Okay, I think that is it for now. At least until I remember something else I meant to say and forgot. Old age. It ain’t pretty!
Steph
Hey Zen
Hope you have a great day yourself, and I hope everything goes well. Your always going to be the queen in my book

Zenyatta,
Your one of my hero’s. The courage and determination you showed in every one of your races, the grace in which you carry yourself with has inspired me to not let my self quit or run away from the difficult situations in my life. Thank you for all you have done for racing, and for my life.
I hope one day to come to Kentucky and see you!
Happy Birthday ♥
