Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. It was nice here…and I know it was pretty on the East Coast. California had quite a bit of rain. It is probably their last few days of rain for this season so it is good they had it. It was great weather to enjoy all of the MARCH MADNESS games on TV. The teams have now gone from 64 to 32 and the Sweet Sixteen play next weekend! Good luck to all who have made it to this level!
I just love this photo of my friends from BARN 55 hanging out in MY STALL! There’s my Mario and Steve sending me a big HELLO. They are on each side of the group. Junior, posed in the front, used to walk me and graze me often in the afternoons. Cheva did too. They tried to help Mario out with me and helped to take care of me on his days off. So sweet! Michelle actually took this picture so she is not in it…but sent her regards.
MY BARN 55 Friends keep in very close contact with me. John and Dottie update them all of the time on my well-being. It is great to see their familiar faces again!
YOU will love seeing them as well! With the contest, Dottie and I have decided that my BARN 55 Friends are the ones who will be pulling out the postcards from the containers. So, Mario, Steve, Michelle, Cheva, Frank and my friends are going to be the ones pulling out the LUCKY CARDS for you. John is going to video this and we will post it all from BARN 55.
Dottie is in the process of confirming with the Post Office the address to use. We should have that in the next day or so. We wanted to alert them as to the number of cards that might be submitted. It is getting exciting! Once the address is on the web-site, we will give you a full week to submit the cards. Then the DRAWING of names begins!
We are also confirming with NINA the details of the BRONZE. She said she is sending the first shipment of them out this week to people who have ordered them. What a thrill!
One other important thing is happening later this week. I will be scanned again to be sure everything is A-OK on my 28 day check-up! HOOVES CROSSED!
YOU will be the first to know!
I’m off to play with my paddock pals. They all send you a big HELLO!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

Even after all those races i won 3,500 something like that? I was finally a real women when and only after I gave birth. So Yahoo Z Mare. You are a Goddess!!!

Hi Zenny! I love it! You so deserve the life you are living. You taking off to play with your paddock pals! Adorable!!! I guess your old racing girth doesn’t fit anymore? LOL Not to suggest it would go where Lil Bernardini/Zen is snoozing, but I know you have put some pounds on! Beautiful! Zenny, I keep hearing two different heights on you. Are you 17.2hh or 17.1? Say Hi to your paddock pals. I’d love to get to know Pirate Queen since her personality caused her to be selected to be introduced to you first. That speaks volumes about her. And I know you were gracious and loving! LOL I just thought of what you would have done if they put a 3-4 yo colt in training all tacked up for a race in your paddock!!!!!!! Good Lawwwd! That poor boy would still be running! LOL
Love you Zenny!!!

What a sweet picture. Your stall is still being kept just for you, Zenny. That is so special. Your Barn 55 friends all miss you.
I hope the Post Office is ready to brace itself for the onslaught of Post Cards it is going to receive. :)

Love the BARN 55 picture! The energy and love you left in your stall space lives on. I know your scan will contain positive results as well. Looking forward to your March Madness Contest since my Pitt Panthers were “nipped at the wire” by Butler. Keeping spreading you sunshine Zenny! Much Love to You Today & Everyday

Hi Z! That is so cute, the picture in the stall! You are right, here in CA we have had rain, wind, hail and thunder. It has been amazing for this time of year. Going to try to get Kate up to see Doozey this afternoon-she needs to train before the next show. Of course, we will check the footing before she rides to make sure it is safe today (Tues). More rain expected tonight! Have a wonderful Tues. Z xxoo

I love reading this diary – sometimes it brings tears to my eyes because I won’t be seeing you on the racetrack but that is just me being selfish. I know you are in great hands at Lane’s End but I still miss seeing the beautiful Zenyatta! Love always.

Dearest Sweet “Z”,
This belongs on a Santa Anita Calendar! No wonder you were always dancing :) Sending a little Blessing for Animals: “Blessed are You, Lord God, for all living creatures You have made. You keep them in Your care and not one of them is lost without You knowing. They glorify You, each in its own way, and speak to us of Your beauty and love. Bless them and keep them from harm. They unquestionably accept their place in the rhythm of Your creation. May we respect them and cherish them for they are Your gift to us; through them may we come to know You better and praise You, their Creator. Blessed be the love and joy that they bring to us.”
DJ
p.s. Keep smiling Barn 55!
