Happy Monday Everyone!
I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. It was nice here…and I know it was pretty on the East Coast. California had quite a bit of rain. It is probably their last few days of rain for this season so it is good they had it. It was great weather to enjoy all of the MARCH MADNESS games on TV. The teams have now gone from 64 to 32 and the Sweet Sixteen play next weekend! Good luck to all who have made it to this level!
I just love this photo of my friends from BARN 55 hanging out in MY STALL! There’s my Mario and Steve sending me a big HELLO. They are on each side of the group. Junior, posed in the front, used to walk me and graze me often in the afternoons. Cheva did too. They tried to help Mario out with me and helped to take care of me on his days off. So sweet! Michelle actually took this picture so she is not in it…but sent her regards.
MY BARN 55 Friends keep in very close contact with me. John and Dottie update them all of the time on my well-being. It is great to see their familiar faces again!
YOU will love seeing them as well! With the contest, Dottie and I have decided that my BARN 55 Friends are the ones who will be pulling out the postcards from the containers. So, Mario, Steve, Michelle, Cheva, Frank and my friends are going to be the ones pulling out the LUCKY CARDS for you. John is going to video this and we will post it all from BARN 55.
Dottie is in the process of confirming with the Post Office the address to use. We should have that in the next day or so. We wanted to alert them as to the number of cards that might be submitted. It is getting exciting! Once the address is on the web-site, we will give you a full week to submit the cards. Then the DRAWING of names begins!
We are also confirming with NINA the details of the BRONZE. She said she is sending the first shipment of them out this week to people who have ordered them. What a thrill!
One other important thing is happening later this week. I will be scanned again to be sure everything is A-OK on my 28 day check-up! HOOVES CROSSED!
YOU will be the first to know!
I’m off to play with my paddock pals. They all send you a big HELLO!
With Love,
Hugs to ALL~

Very cute photo of all the Barn 55 gang enjoying “Zenyatta’s Reflection Room” – too cute! Now the big question: Are they waiting for carrots – or Guiness??? I’d pay a donation-to-charity fee for the privilage of sitting in your stall, Z! Good luck with your upcoming scan!

Hope your stall is forever saved in your memory-just as it is! Good luck with your scan, dear Zenny.

Dear Queen Momma Zenyatta –
.
What a beautiful picture of all your pals hanging out in your former home. The only missing piece in that picture is YOU! We miss you here in California and want you back!
.
I heard or read somewhere recently where the future of Hollywood Park is somewhat up in the air and that there’s talk of deconstructing the track and building something else on that site. Horrors! I hope I have that all wrong!
.
Miss Z, when you have your daily talks with our Divine Dottie, and if you think of it, could you ask Dottie if it’s possible to preserve your stall for posterity, maybe in a museum or special place so we can at least visit your old home, if we can’t visit you due to safety considerations? We would LOVE that! I can’t get over that picture posted a few days ago of Jerry, in your stall by himself. It reminds me of a parent who goes into their child’s room after the child has left home. So melancholy, yet so sweet and savory.
.
There are many good horses on the track this year, Zenny, but none of them is you. You are truly the Horse of a Lifetime.
.
Thanks to Dottie and everyone in Z’s family for their generosity of spirit. …waiting patiently for word about that oh-so-pretty “Z” pin! …and hoping to know how our other pretty paddock friends are doing. We miss them!
.

Zen, cute picture! Did you by any chance know Jordanelle? She’s an awfully sweet filly and she did an awesome job Sunday at Santa Anita for your team. Do you know her story? She is a 6 year old very lightly raced and this was her first win! It was great to see Jerry and Dottie in the winners circle! It was also wonderful to see Chantel riding her to the win. I saw Jordanelle in the paddock before the race and she had some little dance moves going…nothing like yours of course. I thought maybe she had picked up some of her moves from you!

Good morning beautiful Zenyatta. You’re looking very fit. Hope all goes well with your upcoming scan. Thanks Dottie and Z for the updates, I enjoy the posts very much; they are the highlight of my day. The weather has been very nice, just right for a romp in the paddock with your friends. Enjoy. Love you precious.
JIM from Vegas

Zenyatta! Were were just checking our computer and found an early post from you today! We LOVE this picture. Steve said he may retire this year but it seems he is still going strong. Good for him. He helped make you the girl you were on the track…always knowing how you were doing and communicating every detail back to John and Mario. We can’t wait to get the address…maybe we’ll be the lucky winners of your beautiful bronze.
Our Duke Blue Devils are heading to the sweet 16! It was an exciting weekend of games for sure. Yes, HOOVES are crossed that your pregnancy is coming along just as it should be. Thanks to YOU and DOTTIE for always remembering to tell us first. Have a great Tuesday!

Good Morning! So great to see a new post and a lovely picture of your Barn 55 family. Those smiles are a mile wide and they all look so happy in your old stall.
Hooves are crossed for good news about your pregnancy this week. It’s good that Dottie is working things out with the Post Office concerning the onslaught of postcards coming their way. You ladies are just too smart…and cute, too!

Beautiful Zenyatta, What a great picture of your team in the Zenyatta Museum, they must miss you like crazy, but they also know you are in good hands at Lane’s End and on a very special project of your own. I just know that your scan will be perfect as in everything you attempt. Isn’t is nice to have such a large family to participate in your everyday life, still loving you more each day and wishing you the very best of every hour you spend in your child bearing months. My heart is also with you in every step of this journey. Please thank Michelle and Dottie once again for providing these special moments in your life. So much love from me to you and your family.

I really like the picture of your barn 55 friends it’s nice to see who took care of you.
Denise
Nice pic, Zenny. I’m sure you miss your friends very much. It’s nice to know they surely miss you as well. Good luck with your scan. I’m sure everything will go just as planned. :-) And I was thinking since you’ve made such an impact on racing that perhaps you could have some kind of Zenyatta day with discounted rates or some other incentives to drive some more traffic to Hollywood so they can stay open. It’s just a matter of time before the popularity gains attention back?
Rachel Fabrizi
That is such a cute picture. I can’t wait to send out the postcards! Will they just be closing their eyes and choosing? I wonder how this will work. Such a great idea from such wonderful team of people.
@Diana S- That is actually a wonderful idea, if I were on the west coast I as well would be willing to do that. Perhaps one day they would think about it.
Good luck Momma Z!

Good morning, Queen Z!
I’m sure you’re waking up to a nice tub of grain and an early morning romp with your gal pals.
It’s so nice to see all your friends at Barn 55. I can’t imagine how they must feel when they see your empty stall–yet I’m sure they’re happy that you’re happy! :) As we all are!
Good luck on your next scan—I’m positive your little one is snug and safe, but I will send up a prayer for you both.
Have a lovely day with your friends and please tell your Barn 55 pals to send all that rain to Texas as we’re in a terrible drought!
Love, kisses and treats to you, dear Z,
Stel

Hi Zenny,
Praying that your 28-day scan is fine. I have my postcard ready to send – what a neat contest! I hope one day you can have small groups of visitors at Lane’s End. Until then, we love your diary posts, photos and videos.
Enjoy the day!
Linda
I never tire of reading your posts. I am more interested in racing in general because of you. I have your picture in my office and in my kitchen!

Hi Zenny from East Liverpool Middle School. The children are going to send their writings in for the contest. Even if they don’t get picked this is great practice for them. Anything with you gets them excited. I love the picture of all of your Barn 55 family. They look like such a great group. The children want to know where Mike Smith is. I had to explain to them that he has to ride other horses for his job. They thought he only rode YOU. To cute. Well sweet girl enjoy your day with your friends. WE send all of our love. Hugs and Kisses from Shari Voltz and Homeroom 215 XXXOOO

So glad to see a post – thought we had missed yesterday. Great picture – I know they all miss you so much. I agree with the others – your stall should be preserved somewhere just as is! Looking forward to the contest and to your next scan – keeping you in my thoughts for good health and a healthy foal. Thanks Dottie.

Hi Zenyatta. Photo is lovely of all your friends at Barn 55. I know they miss you with all your heart. It was a great weekend with all the great basketball going on. We had rain so I just stayed in and watched all the games. Exciting games to say the least. Your friend, Bernardini is having a birthday tomorrow. I think you were the best, best present he has ever had or will ever get. I think he knows that also. (*_*) Glad you will be getting a check up. We will all be waiting to hear about it. Have a good day. I LOVE YOU!!!!
Astrid

Hi Zen and St Dottie, hey GO BADGERS,they made it to the sweet sixteen. What a great pic of the gang who were involved with you….it takes a village to care for a queen like you. I’m still coming to Kentucky April 15th, and hoping if I stop at LE and say I drove all the way from WI they’ll take pity on me and let me peek at you over the fence. I’d be estatic!!!! Good luck on the scan coming up, hope and pray all is well. Luv and kisses on your nose.
