Hello Everyone!
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family. Ours at the barn was very nice.
I also want to THANK YOU for the FAN MAIL. I am truly honored. I am getting so many letters that John brought the ones from the last few days home to Dottie in a big shopping bag. Plus, I am getting flowers, horse treats, candy for my friends at the barn, homemade cookies for the crew here and lots and lots of carrots and peppermints. It is truly amazing!
Steve Andersen, who writes for the Daily Racing Form, was at the barn Tuesday and looked over that day’s mail and commented he saw letters from 11 different states, 1 from Canada and 1 from Nova Scotia. Just in one day’s delivery!
Wow! I know John and Dottie are reading all of the letters and enjoying each and every one of them. Some of you have drawn me beautiful pictures and sent photos as well. I feel truly privileged so many people have been SO KIND TO ME!
The Moss’ are also getting mail. Mike Smith commented that his mailman told him he needed a larger mailbox!
This is too much fun!
Thank you so much for caring.
Hugs to you all~
Z

I’ll do it again, only better this time. Zenyatta, beauriful lady. It is unbelievable how many fans you have. You lift so many spirits of those who are down. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and I have a very loving dog who is getting old, whom I will not let down, so I can’t come to see you Big Baby, but you will be in my heart forever. Love you Baby

Z you are the best! You run with the big boys and leave them in your dust. Happy pastures and I can’t wait to see your first foal. Mike says that there isn’t a stud in your league and that’s true. I will come back to see how it is going…
Leslie
Zen, you and Team Z deserve all the kindness coming your way. You’ve all given so much to us. I can’t wait to see you on December 5th! I hope you have a fun weekend.
Love,
Leslie

Victoria…you could e-mail Lanes End..just google the website and ask them to think about continuing the Diary…we all will surely be disappointed if Zen can’t tell us her daily news..that might help.
Just here wishing you, Zen, a peaceful and quiet g’night.Soon you will sleep under the “moon over Ky”…we will be watching over you with love and admiration always.
Even the moon here in the Bluegrass can’t shine as you do! Love you!! Sleep tight!!

Love the diary posts but hope someone on your team will post videos also – especially of the Dec. 5th event. I miss seeing all those great videos of you running and dancing – always makes me smile!!

Zenyatta,
You and the people who guided your way have given a remarkable gift to the world of racing. By growing into your work instead of racing as a youngling, you flourished both in racing excellence and in your unique personality, giving all of us who seek the HEART of racing a true joy. May you and your people be given back such blessings multifold.
Gail Ulmer
Zenyatta, you have touched us and inspired us more than you will ever know! Thank you for sharing your heart and encouraging us when we needed it. Thank you connections – you have been so generous in sharing our inspiration – Z.

Zenyatta, I hope that once you are at Lane’s End Farm you will keep up with these daily posts, they are so much fun to read! You deserve every bit of the attention you are getting and then some, we love you! You gave us all so much to cheer for over the last couple of years. Your departure leaves a huge hole in the sport that won’t be filled for a long, long time, if ever. I can’t wait to get my signed photo back from John and the Z crew. I hope you were able to put your mark on it also, that would make it so very special.

Your one of a kind Zenyatta!! Kisses to you

I look forward each day to your comments. I just love you so. Can’t wait to see you on the 5th. Will the gift shop be selling Mike Smith bobble heads?
Love you Z.

Oh, Zenyatta, there will never be another like you. You have captured so many hearts and are loved by so many. We are so lucky that you pranced and danced into our lives. I will forever love, sweet girl!

Your diary posts are great and I love
looking for them and reading them.
You are so special and deserve all the gifts and fan mail you keep getting.
Stay well and happy beautiful lady.

Zenyatta The Great! So much adoration for one who richly deserves it. I have a great idea-we can eliminate all this anxiety about you leaving your family by cloning you. Otherwise, there will never be another Zenyatta to capture the world stage.

Good Morning!
I am sure that today will bring lots of visitors and mail and goodies for you all.
I was so hoping that the date would work for me to fly out to be a part of fan day next weekend but my five year old granddaughter is in a horse show next Saturday and I just have to be there . I missed her first as I was at Breeders Cup. She won a blue ribbon . I will be watching for the photos from your day and know that it will be a day for all to remember.
I will plan a visit to see you in Kentucky as I can drive there, and bring my granddaughter . Have a great day today!
Love you
Chris Hausman
Valerie – I am so sorry that you lost your mule friend “Cattle Kate”. It is such a hard decision to make when our equine friends can no longer stay with us. We had to make that decision for our Quarter Horse “Poncho”. Just remember all of the good times and what joy Cattle Kate brought to your life.

Queen Zen….all of Canada loves you! I can’t make it Dec 5th, but I will be watching you at our Hastings Park. Samantha
I love you Zenyatta because of the way you race.
I hope you are having a fun time during the holiday season Z.
II think you are the greatest race horse ever!

Zenyatta, Not a day of my life goes by that I don’t think of you and wonder what kind of day you are having…and it has been that way since I first became aware that God had blessed us with a Angel named Zenyatta. You brought beauty into my life when there was despair, you inspired me to get up and face the day no matter how bad I felt or how hopeless things seemed, you brought friends and people with stories of how you helped them into my world which brought understanding into my life… to watch you dance always made me fill up with awe, joy and laughter… to watch you race brought tears of wonder to my eyes and chills each and every time as the years past and I watched each race over and over again…as my body fails me and pain, doubt and fear try to creep into my mind I need only to look at a mere photo of you and peace, joy and trust in the Lord washes in my veins and fills my soul. I love you…and all your connections with a love that has no end. If I lose my fight I want your people to know I will watch over you and someday if for no apparent reason you start doing your dance under the stars it will be me whispering I love you Zenyatta you beautiful, wonderful girl…dance… run…frolic …and play with joy and laughter in your heart always…
Leslie
Oh I’m glad you are still enjoying all the attention Z and that we are not driving you and your barn family crazy!! It’s a good reminder for us to be thankful to John and the Mosses and to Mike Smith too…. all of them have helped us to know you and be able to see you up close and personal…. you’re just a doll Z and I hope we get to keep seeing you when you’re at Lane’s End….
But… I do have to say I so badly want a webcam!! I guess that’s getting greedy, eh? Diary posts from you AND a live webcam? Too much to ask probably…. Love you Z!
Leslie
Sorry you aren’t feeling well Kari… what a beautiful story of inspiration and hope you share…. love for a horse is indescribable…. the best to you Kari… and thanks Z for sharing so much with so many….

Zenny, you are the Alpha and the Omega of my day. I read your post first thing in the morning and last thing at night. You have touched so many peole’s lives including mine.
Helen Rasmussen
Zenny, I look forward to reading your posts and appreciate the fact you and Dottie are keeping us all up to date. I would love to come see you however, that is not possible until maybe next late summer. Your connections are simply the best people in racing!
Liz
Team Zenyatta: I’m looking forward to your party on Sunday. Can’t wait to see you again and wish you all well. This will be my third flight to see you. Each time I say I can’t afford to go and each time I realize I can’t afford not to. You have been a bright light in an otherwise difficult time. A truly wonderful group of people and horse, it can be no coincidence that you found each other. To Kari: I will give a shout out to Zenyatta for you.
Reb
Love these daily posts!
Canadian Horse
I’m sure Zenyatta knows that Nova Scotia is a province of Canada, unlike the person who writes this diary for her! :-)
