Happy Saturday to everyone!
It is absolutely pouring here at Hollywood Park this morning. I’m nice and cozy in my blankets and all cuddled up in my stall at this time. John had me do a bit of exercise yesterday…as he thought it would rain today. At 9 our time, it is supposed to be the heaviest…so I probably will not go out and graze until it stops.
I was also supposed to PAINT some MONEIGHS this morning. Dottie set up the appointment for me. I’ve done this before and the paintings are sold for charity to help horses in need of a new home. These are fun to do and I get to play a bit. The materials used are all safe for me. Not sure if this is taking place due to the rain. We normally do this outside and that can’t happen today.
When I do get to paint, I’ll send you some photos.
All else is nice and quiet. I’m relaxing, cozy and having a wonderful morning in my barn with all of my friends. You stay dry and cozy as well.
Hugs to all~
Love,
Z

I love reading your blog, Zenyatta. I tear up reading about how much you mean to your fans.I have a six year old mare who’s much smaller than you, but she has a big personality like you. I can’t wait to hear who your first boyfriend will be! I like AP Indy because your baby would be part Seattle Slew, part Secretariat, and part of the greatest mare to set foot on a track – you!!! Much love,
-K

It’s chilly here in Ky…but..we have a beautiful full moon tonight! I sure hope the cold weather here won’t bother you..we have some pretty low temps in the winter..Spring doesn’t come around as quick as it use to…then it gets horribly hot early it seems! So glad you are cozy today..must be exciting to think about Dec 5th and seeing all of your CA friends! Stay save and well…I’m keeping an eye on Souper Spectacular and enjoying the press about him! He’s doing quite well! You must be proud! Well..signing off here..under the moon over Ky..sweet dreams beautiful girl!! Love Always!!

Hello again!
It is so great to hear that you are painting and that these works of art will go on sale for charity. Maybe one of your paintings could be offered as a contest. We could all buy chances on it . I am sure that there would be a lot of people that would buy a ticket to win. I would buy several.
Enjoy the sound of the raindrops on your roof and stay warm and cozy.
Love you
Margaret
Hi Z
I got to see you this morning with Steve. You were all snug in your stall and about to have breakfast. I had such fun taking lots of pics of you.
I talked to John for a couple of mins after. I told him you were totally self confident. John said “mo fear”.
Z time was short this morning. I would’ve told you not to worry about Lane’s End. From the reading I’ve done and reports from others I know that they take wonderful care of the stallions. I can only guess they do the same for the mares. You’ll be fine. And we will all miss you like crazy.
Thanks for the wonderful hug. My very own Z hug.
Marci
Lady Z – thank you for the updates. Please do keep in touch with all of us once you get to KY. I want to see more pictures of you – coz you are in all of our hearts. Didn’t you like what Meghan wrote? I couldn’t have said it better. Take care Zen… and team Zenyatta, thanks for keeping our girl healthy and sound. You all are the best.

~ I am looking forward to seeing your paintings ~ would love very much to have one ~ so happy that you are able to help other horses in need of homes ~ I have adopted a retired racehorse ~ she was a pleasure to be around ~ she was a niece of Silver Charm ~ but she had leg problems and only raced twice so we adopted her right away so she could enjoy a life of leasure ~ like the new life you will be enjoying soon :)

It was really raining on Saturday. Thought the heavens opened up and let all the water pour out, at least here in the Valley. Thought of you and knew you were all cuddled up in your stall. This too shall pass! The sun will come out tomorrow…Would love to be able to bid on one of your paintings. Such a good deed you are doing for charity. I would be honored to have a painting done by you!!

Your generosity & compassion is just another reason for HOTY & why we love you so dearly. You continue to show us your special spirit. How appropriate, as we approach Thanksgiving & the holidays. 2011 will be a new year for you & all of your fans. We all will have to make the adjustment to your new life. But my family is so thankful that we have been able to read Dottie’s posts & be part of your journey & transition. We are also so thankful we live in a world where we have the technology to have access to you with the click of a hand & whoalla…there you are on the internet. We can watch all of your races whenever we want & read your posts daily. We will always be here for you in one way or another! If you don’t do another post, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you & all Team Z-we will keep you in our prayers.

Deaar Wonderful Zenyatta, You amaze me with your multi-talents. Please let us know how we may purcase your artwork. When your Moneigh collection has been completed, I’m certain you will write your memoirs. That will be a book to go down in history coming from the hands of the greatest race horse ever. Oh, and one other thing, I just realized that you are wearing pearl studs in your ears, not cotton balls. You should display your Crown Jewels in a museum. Love you forever and my Christmas gift to myself is coming to KY to visit you. Can’t wait.

Zenyatta, You fly like the wind, You dance like Ginger Rogers, You greet your fans with grace and kindness and love, You paint to raise money for your fellow horses which makes you an humanitarian for horses. You are a gift to all of us. I am certain that you could make a record album. Mr.Moss could help you with it. (*_*) It would be rockin. You are, UN BE LIEV ABLE!!Thank you for the joy you have given me. xoxoxoxox

Love your posts, Z. Thank you Dottie for letting Z share the computer with you. I would LOVE to buy one of Z’s painting. Tell us how. I am so happy to see that Z’s fans remain loyal as you can tell from the number of comments daily. You are definitely well loved, Z, and in our hearts forever.

Zenyatta, I just love you. You make my heart sing.

Love to hear you are following your heart with your charity work. So, I had an idea…why don’t the Mosses keep in CA for a year or two & let you continue to do your jogs & excercise that you love so much…let your fans come & visit & in between work on your charity work helping other horses that need a new home. Hey, I am a mother of two & it is wonderful, but I was a “late bloomer,” & there is nothing wrong with that. I read a comment John made to a reporter, that they had to jog you on Friday due to the rain, because otherwise your barn would not be “big enough.” I interpretted that as, you still have a lot of GREAT energy inside you, your passion is running & eating & being with those that love you…so would it be such a bad thing to just have an extended transition & settle you in that way…anyone have any thoughts? You have many fans that would definitely purchase your art work, because it is yours & it is for a good cause. And remember, “home is where your heart is.” I just hope the Farrish’s at Lane’s End recognize your true spirit & if this whole breeding thing is not for you..they are honest with the Mosses. Motherhood is a wonderful blessing, I am just not yet convinced your time is now.
Love you so much. XOXO

I get very emotional when I think we won’t see you do the thing you love the most. And I an feeling very sad for your groom. I am a retired groom and I know your grooms heart must be breaking. I hope he is going to be able to be with you when you go to Lanes End and help you settle in to your new venture. I think you are going to be a terrific Mom.Love you Z.

God Bless You Zenyatta…..you are so awesome and we here in the Pocono Mountains on Wellington Way (my 3 kitties & myself) send a great big hug & kiss from across the country. You are so LOVED. We didn’t know about these posts and now will search for Diary Posts 1 thru 10. Thank you Dottie.

Good morning our Dear Z!! Another ‘cozy’ day for you here in socal! It will give you a bit more time to reflect on what you want to paint; we all need some rainy days to slow down & do just that.
Since you entered my life..on that fatal Sunday during ’60 Minutes’ you have CONSUMED me. Other than going to work & doing what I must, You have become my passion. I’ve dropped all my other email contacts (never being much of a computer soul to start with) & run to check in with you first thing in the morn, then hourly thruout the day & evening til I go to sleep. I’ve never understood mass idolization (ie screaming teenagers, who faint, when they see their demigod), but now I ‘get it’…at age 67.
Your impact on everyone is nothing less than EXTRADINARY!!
Thank you sooooo much….xxxooo

Zenyatta, I new you were the most incredible athlete and an accomplished dancer. But now an artist. It is almost too much. Please keep posting these delightful blogs.
