GOOD MORNING TO ALL MY DEAR FRIENDS!
HAPPY DIARY #100! WOW! It has been an amazing time!
In thinking about this DIARY ENTRY, I really wanted to tie in so many of the past experiences we’ve shared and open the door for all of us to enjoy other unique moments together. I am one very, very fortunate HORSE! I’ve had an amazing racing career. I’ve received so many incredible acknowledgements and prestigious awards. Yet, most importantly, I have been completely BLESSED to be loved by so many wonderful people.
I’m now living in Kentucky. Hopefully I’ll find out soon about my IN FOAL status. I promise, I will definitely let YOU know the results as soon as possible!
To honor #100, I have one very ‘PRECIOUS’ experience of mine to share with you! My adorable JOHN helped ME put this together for YOU! Even though I was officially retired last November, I was still at BARN 55 for over a month before going to Lane’s End. During that time, it was necessary for me to exercise each day and stay in ‘somewhat’ my normal routine. I was a very fit athlete getting ready to ‘change my focus to farm life’…so John wanted to help ME with this transition and keep ME relaxed, fit and HAPPY!
On my last day of exercise while in California, John had a great idea. He had Steve wear the helmet cam while riding ME. MY ADORABLE JOHN thought it would be very special for ALL OF YOU to go on my LAST GALLOP WITH ME!
The next day, I moved to Kentucky and my daily routine changed to that of becoming a BROODMARE. In modern day terms, Dottie tells me that I am in the process of RESTRUCTURING MY CAREER! TOO CUTE! I think I’m doing quite well at this!
I truly can’t THANK ALL OF YOU enough for the continued LOVE, SUPPORT and ENCOURAGEMENT you have given ME! As I have stated many times before, I really could never have done it without MY TEAM and ALL OF YOU!
Again, HAPPY DIARY ENTRY #100! Please enjoy joining me at the racetrack for MY LAST GALLOP!
Check out the video HERE!
With LOVE,
HUGS to ALL~(and I truly mean this)
Z
P.S. Dottie wanted me to let you know that we will take a few days and get ‘some business things organized’ and work on some future projects. Between all of this and counting the days on my ‘in foal status’, please keep thinking HOOVES CROSSED!
Robin
That was AWESOME! Made me happy and sad! We sure miss you in Cali big girl. Fingers and hooves crossed for you! Stay safe pretty girl!! MUAH!!!! xoxo

Dearest Zenny, 100 Posts, Wow. Thanks to Dottie for helping with this. John was right I really did enjoy that last gallop with you,it seems so amazing to be able to do that. Thanks John for the great idea to do that for us FAN’S. We all love Zenyatta very much and really do miss her. She really is our California Girl and always will be no matter where she is. I love the way you can all keep in touch by way of Tango and then share this with Zen’s fans. Thanks to all for that. I want to say thanks for the memories Zenyatta, they are all so wonderful. Hope the weather is staying nice in Kentucky so you can get your share of the good blue grass. Have fun with your friends and know that we love you very much.

Great to see Dottie in the Winner’s Circle today @ Santa Anita with Mr. & Mrs. Moss’ Lutess, a very pretty gray filly. She ran a wonderful race. Zazu also ran a very exciting, fast-closing second to Turbulent Descent–kinda like Zenyatta style! Congratulations to all!
Kathy Kimber
What a wonderful ride that was. Thanks John for sharing. Z, as always, your were great. Happy 100

Hi Zenny,
What a great ride! I love hearing you breathe and watching your ears! It’s great to feel you as you speed up in your gallop. Oh girl, I wish I could pet you and get just a little of your magic! I know I would never forget it all my life.
Could you let Dottie and the Team know I’d love to learn about your new routine at the farm. Do you get to go for rides anymore? What’s a normal day like for you. And of course pictures and videos about your day are so special. Just whenever you’re in the mood, would love to see you more.
I’m so curious if you miss the track and racing or are you truly zen and living in the moment! Do you understand that being an athlete is really just a short gig?
I love you sweet girl. Thanks for changing the face of thoroughbred racing. You’re like the ambassador.
I’m crying.

I NEVER cease to be amazed at the generosity of you and YOUR TEAM. What a gift to have this last video from the track in California. As others have said so eloquently, you are a “horse for the ages” and your connections are just as special. Our lives are better because of you, Zenyatta. Thank you.

Be sure to thank Dottie for me! # 100 Post is no small feat, and I think that this video of your last gallop was more than precious. I had my kleenix ready and I needed it! I can’t wait to hear about your ‘in foal’ status!!! Thinking Pink and Blue!! :o)

Steve is solo lucky to have taken you on your last run and you looked gorgeous as ever. I am so happy that you are happy in your next phase of life but I sure do miss seeing you on the track. You were a true Super Star Zenny, and now you’re going to be a super Mommy.
Diana Hanson
Thank you so much for the last gallop! It brought tears to my eyes. It was a great ride with Queen Z!
Lois Gillespie
Thanks so much John & Steve for letting us go along on the “last ride” – but being allowed to share the milestones of Zenny’s new life off the track has been a joy beyond belief – –
Elizabeth
What a wonderful thing to feel like you’re the one riding Zenyatta. I would like to suggest one thing though. Could you possibly change the name of “Post100” to something that includes Zenyatta’s name? That way when her fans go looking for videos of her (as I often do), they will be able to see and enjoy this “last” ride.
Trish & Mike in Colorado
Very touching, thank you much !! Whatever Zenyatta does, it seems as though she does it with such enjoyment, that she enjoys all of her activities. And to see all those folks just waiting to see her beauty. We still miss her so at the races.

@ENSIGN: That’s exactly what I was hoping to learn about lead changes. Your fund of knowledge adds so much to this already enriching diary. THANK YOU!!
It’s been such a joy to come here every day to find heart-warming diary entries from Zenyatta (and her most excellent
‘Voice’), and then to read through the messages from so many wonderful, caring, appreciative people. I have a feeling that, even with less frequent postings, this will continue to be a lovely place to visit. And there’s always lots of re-reading and re-viewing to do!
As our most darling Zenyatte likes to say:
Hugs to ALL!
Jenna
Thank you to John for thinking of all of us and giving us such great 100 gift!
Is it me or are those ears the cutest things ever?
Love Z. Thank you Dottie!! Zendotti!!
