Good Morning,
I sincerely hope each of you had a lovely INDEPENDENCE DAY! Not only is it
a wonderful day to spend with family and friends…it is also so significant to remember
the true meaning of July 4th. It is important to reflect upon the history of our country
and appreciate the fact that we are so fortunate in so many ways!
I wanted to share this photo of MYSELF…even though it is not my “best” view….as
you can get an idea of how “I’m filling out a bit”. When I was racing, this is the side
I wanted everyone to see…as I ran past them to the finish line. Now it is interesting
to see from another point of view…my IN FOAL STATUS!
Dottie has requested that each month the farm keep her posted on my ‘weight’.
She wants to keep track of this with all of the other notes she maintains on my records.
Since I was bred on April 3rd, she feels the beginning of every month is the perfect time
to record this number. As soon as she hears the information from the farm, I know she will
share it with all of you.
The racing over the weekend was great fun. I know MY TEAM was very pleased with
Harmonious’ first race back. She finished beautifully in a very fast time yesterday…and
looked terrific. She really ran a wonderful race. My congratulations to all of the
winners over this holiday weekend.
I heard that it was really warm in California over the holiday, great swimming weather, and
it appeared to be a bit warm and rainy on the East Coast from all reports. It was rather
pleasant here in Kentucky. I truly enjoyed my time outdoors with my pals.
Enjoy your week and the ‘summer weather’.
With love,
Hugs to ALL~

Dear Beautiful Zenyatta. You look great. Your filling out means that the foal is growing big and strong. You could never look bad to me. I love all of you. Just keep doing all the good things your doing for the baby :) I am so glad you had a nice 4th. I had a quiet one but it was nice. I hope all my 5th graders who are now 6th graders remember what I taught them about July 4th and our independence. Well sweet girl I hope you have a wonderful sunny afternoon. Enjoy all this good weather with the girls. I love you so. Hugs and Kisses, Shari XXXOOO

@Judy Berube–Is it possible that these Lone Ranger jokes are so old they are new again? George Carlin once told a joke about Clayton Moore that was pretty funny. It seems that Carlin and another performer whose name I can’t recall were appearing at a supermarket opening with Clayton Moore. Moore was dressed as the Lone Ranger. Moore’s ride didn’t show up so he asked Carlin if he could get a ride to his hotel. Carlin said sure, and Moore climbed into the back seat. As they were pulling out of the parking lot, a driver sideswiped their car. Carlin took off in pursuit of the other driver, forgetting that Moore was in the back seat. Carlin finally cornered the offending driver and got out to talk to him. The guy was really obnoxious, stating that it was Carlin’s word against his and his story was that Carlin hit HIS car. Not quite, citizen, said Moore as he climbed out of the back seat in his Lone Ranger outfit. You can imagine what kind of effect this had on the other guy, who quickly admitted he was at fault. After all, who is going to argue with the Lone Ranger. True story.

Hey Zenny, You look mahvelous from any angle. I’m sure this is the view your competitors would most recognize! My question – I have noticed all the recent photos of you are on lead-line grazing. Is this for the convenience of a good photo shoot or are you on “bed rest” and currently not allowed loose in the pasture? Hope you didn’t eat to many hot dogs over the 4th and NO BEER! LOVE & PEACE

Dear Terry Crow:
I just had a “picture” of the look on the sideswiper’s face in my head; laughing out loud. That George Carlin was quite a Character. Always one of my favorite comedians. Funny story. Hugs, J.B.

Dear Judy Berube I’ll take “good” blessings too – especially from you! Z fans do have a lot in common – especially our deep love for the Queen!!
Celeste
What a beautiful shot!! I think all mamas-to-be have a special glow and that definitely fits our Queen! Thank you for sharing the diary and the wonderful photo.
Kathy Kimber
Well Zeny dear you look great love the shot wish my hind side looked that good. TEE HEE.
@NOOR: I want to urge everyone following Noor’s story to be kind enough to e-mail Michael Blowen at Old Friends and thank him for putting Charlotte’s lovely words on Noor’s marker. Those words tug at my heart and I think Michaedeserves a big thanks. He is working hard to create a cemetary where these wonderful horses can rest. It’s sad to think there are places in Kentucky we can’t visit. I alwayes dreamed of visiting Ciration and Armed but we are not allowed at this time. So please let Michael know we appreciate all he is doing. Just thin a son of the great Nasrullah and the Queen of Baghdad is going to Kentucky. Thanks
MK
A beautiful picture. Thank you so much for sharing your evolution to delivery!
