Good Morning Everyone!
I’m back….and so happy to be able to visit with ALL OF YOU again! Yesterday was a very, very exciting day for both TASTY and I. We were moved to the FOALING UNIT of Lane’s End…and when we are not outdoors enjoying ourselves, we now reside in the FOALING BARN!
Above, you see the guys walking us to our ‘new home and paddock area’. We are truly embarking on a brand new adventure in our lives.
It is quite exciting! We will still have our same wonderful grooms and caretakers. Everything in our lives as far as the people around us will remain exactly the same.
I must say, we are being very closely monitored all of the time…just to see if there is even the slightest change in our bodies.
What an exciting time!
Here we are getting to visit our new HOME and get acquainted with it! LUCKY US!
I know MY TEAM is planning some very loving things for ME to do during the next several weeks. It will be a great way for ME to productively use my time while I’m waiting to become a MOM!
We’ll keep you posted.
With Love,
Hugs to all~

ZENNY,
How Lovely! Two future Mommas out on a day’s trek!
Thank you, Sarah for the wonderful photo! It portrays these 2 ‘girls’ so well!
Haven’t had a chance to read posts, but will in the a.m.
Zenny, such great weather so far for YOU and Tasty. Can just picture the two of you chatting across the barn – like being at a dormitory – YOU both must have shared so many secret chats!
Praying fo blessings from God to You and Tasty, and to Sarah and everyone at Lanes End. Also to the rest of your family, Momma Z, including your (our) Z Fan Family.
PS The stars are quite beautiful here tonight in NM!

Yay Zenny!!!! I’ve caught up on your posts so I can be on top of “Foal Watch” for you and Tasty. Boy, this waiting room is crowded! But there’s no better place to be with all this friendship and love from Z’sters and Z Dumplinz.
@Kimberly Potter–so sorry for the roller coaster ride you and Eli are on. Hopefully his family will pull together in their greatest hour of need. Keep strong and you’re in my prayers.
@Catherine Hicks–thinking of you and sending well wishes.
@Heidi–so glad to hear about Freddie, hopefully he doesn’t overdo it.
@Marilu–know I’m late but thinking of you and wishing you a safe trip.
@Celeste in TX–sorry to hear of the loss of your Mojo. Ww

Dear Kim S.:
Loved your post and the “crowded waiting room”. Hugs, JB

On my excursion through the internet this morning looking for more info about mare’s pregnancy and stuff I found this.
On Facebook at Backside 55 there are links to several short clips provided by Donna at Lane’s End where she talks about pregnancy, moving the mares. You see how the mare’s bag up, wax, newborn foals. You also learn a bit about nurse mare foals.
I thought the videos were excellent. While they talk for a moment about dystocia–difficult pregnancy–which they don’t dwell on–its important that folks watch these clips

So much exciting and interesting news in this posting. Thank you Dottie, John, the Mosses and Lane’s End for all the info you share with us. The pictures of the foaling barn and the videos of Donna Vowles are so wonderful. We actually get to see inside the barn and even the stall where Zenyatta will have her foal. How special is that?
Thank you Abigail for posting the link.
I am so excited to hear the news about that foal; I cannot wait.
Zenyatta, you and TT look so fantastic. You will both be such wonderful moms. This is so fun hearing all the news.

Forgot to mention yesterday, one thing
Cleveland, Ohio has is Hill Billies, who are
Next of kin to Rednecks; a hybrid group
With similar habits and quirks; like dippin
Snuff, chewing tobacco, getting all their teeth
Pulled and forgetting to get dentures, wearing
Bibbed blue jeans and smoking corn cob pipes.

All the best, girls!! Wishing you less pain than poor Rachel.

How exciting :)

Have I told you lately that I love you more and more? I do … This journey into the Zennyland Dream has burst all of our emotions, exploded with love and has indeed been a tonic for ones soul … rapidly over the last two years it has attained multitudes of layers, with intense feeings of spiritual emotional ecstasy on a grand scale – the likes of which will never be experienced again in our lifetime … I for one will never want anything to take the place of that joyous era of YOU … Your aura will live forevermore in the hearts, never to disappear in the depths of oblivion. In that indefinite length of time, eons will have to have gone bye for your presence, that has passed our way and graced our lives, to have that happen. The enormity of YOU will pass down through the lore of the racing world for hundreds of years to come. And I for one will pass YOU on down to the next and the next, to whomever crosses my path to listen to the tales – that for one brief shining moment there was once this Heaven of Zennyland Dreams that touched us all … and it will continue to do so for the rest of our days. And now a new life of YOU is about to be born … and all the others who will be their mother’s child … may they always be blessed with that aura which is part of YOU, no matter whether they are champions or not … they will be YOU to live on for an infinite length of time …. for one brief shining moment in time, least it not be forgot, they are YOU and that ‘heart’ will live on and on ……….

Excitedly waiting for your foals, Zenny & Tasty. Be well. My prayers are with you both and I love you.

Zenny, you look much better pregnant than I did! What is your due date? I have forgotten. Also as far as future sires go, I sure wish you liked to travel. I would love to see you have a date with Galileo in Europe, the #1 sire in the world. His current famous son is the 3 yr old Frankel, undefeated & ranked #1 in the world. Maybe he will decide to tour KY. I can only wish! That would truly be breeding the Best to the Best!!!

To Laura J of Cinncinati, Ohio, Abigail of Montreal, Dawn Conrad, and all of the other Zensters:
As Zenyatta’s bump seems larger than Rachel’s and Tasty’s, I wonder if this indicates that she will have a large foal. Zen herself has the same frame as her dam, Vertigineaux.
Amy Beacha
Hello Zenyatta and Tasty! The pictures of you/everyone look really great, and enjoy your new home. Hope all goes well and think of you. Take Care and Love.
Kim
Hugs right back to you Zenny! Excited and nervous about Baby Bump – all I really want is for the both of you to be healthy!
Debbie
Oh Zenyatta – you are so beautiful. I am so happy you have the wonderful people at Lands End. I watched some of your videos this morning, and wow, it makes me miss you even more. Take care of yourself and get ready to nest!!
Thank you again Lands End for taking such wonderful care of our Queen.
Brenda S..Ontario, Canada
Good Morning Zenny, I hope you are settled in comfortably and enjoying the foaling barn. I wonder if you are getting hints about what is soon to come when you see and hear the foals that are now close to you. Will you be keeping track of the Superbowl on Sunday? I’ll be cheering for the Pats so I hope they bring their best game and that Tom Brady is in good form.
To Dawn and Trina, Thank you so much for your good wishes to Vic, it’s somewhat like torture now waiting for the letter from the college she really wants to attend, she’d much prefer to be learning about horses than doing a general arts and science program. Dawn, she asked that you please say hello to your Mom for her. and thanks to you both.

Cool!!! Thanks for the update.

As many of us are enthusiastic about the role of women in the Sport of Queens and Kings, I thought I would write about prominent female horse owner,Joyce Robsham. She took over her late husband’s stable and breeding operations after he died in 2004. Her horses race in the name of E. Paul Robsham Stables.
She has some of the top 3 year olds in the country. Broadway’s Alibi, a filly, won the Forward Gal at Gulfstream by 16 3/4 lengths in the slop January 29th. And Discreet Dancer, a three year old stallion on the Derby trail, was the only 2 year old to break a track record in the history of racing; he will be racing against Union Rags in the Fountain of Youth at Gulfstream. She also owns R Heat Lightening and Awesome Maria.
Mrs. Robsham has facebook pages for both Broadway’s Alibi and Discreet Dancer. And I think it would be lovely if we could support this lovely woman’s efforts by visiting the facebook pages of these two rising stars.
Eveline / Maryland.
Thanks for the info. I love Discreet Dancer. His sire Discreet Cat was one of my husbands favorite horses.
Past the Grandstand
Z, this is SO exciting! We’re getting so close! Love you, girlie!
Also, I thought I’d share the story of a filly that is very special to me. She happens to have been bred by your owners, the Mosses. Here’s the link: http://pastthegrandstand.blogspot.com/2012/02/story-of-miss-fifty.html

Sally B. (cherish Z- Wi.)
Sweetheart Z, you are back!! What a wonderful surprise to hear from you. I was thinking perhaps Monday. What a beautiful area you & Tasty are walking. I’d be in heaven walking with you. You are getting Bigger Z and in time you will be blessed, we all will, with seeing your baby z.
When I was in my last month and carrying quite low, a couple sales people in the infant department would say to me, “Oh my, start boiling the water!” haha
I keep thinking and praying for you. I saw your stall in the “foaling barn”. It is so clean and you are “watched” often.
Love you much, 2 kisses on your soft nose, one for baby z Auntie Sally

Reality hits, right Ms Z!
Your time is almost here.. I am also on the edge of my seat.
I assisted in my mare’s delivery in 1967! My first. So long ago. My last foal was from a rescue mare I bought in the late-90’s. She was already in foal and delivery within 3 months of buying her. I found them both a home (original plan). Mom was a very under fed dapple grey. I fed her lots and fattened her up. What a beautiful young mare. When I 1st got her, the Vet …. said, of the mare, “she is a diamond in the ruff’.
Now, Z, I am so thrilled to have travelled this journey of yours, THANKS to the help of your connections. I LOVE you so much Zenny…. HUGS

High hoof to you, Lynn, for all you did for that lovely rescue mare and her little one! Thanks for sharing.
