Good Morning Everyone!
I’m back….and so happy to be able to visit with ALL OF YOU again! Yesterday was a very, very exciting day for both TASTY and I. We were moved to the FOALING UNIT of Lane’s End…and when we are not outdoors enjoying ourselves, we now reside in the FOALING BARN!
Above, you see the guys walking us to our ‘new home and paddock area’. We are truly embarking on a brand new adventure in our lives.
It is quite exciting! We will still have our same wonderful grooms and caretakers. Everything in our lives as far as the people around us will remain exactly the same.
I must say, we are being very closely monitored all of the time…just to see if there is even the slightest change in our bodies.
What an exciting time!
Here we are getting to visit our new HOME and get acquainted with it! LUCKY US!
I know MY TEAM is planning some very loving things for ME to do during the next several weeks. It will be a great way for ME to productively use my time while I’m waiting to become a MOM!
We’ll keep you posted.
With Love,
Hugs to all~

It truly is an exciting time! I know we are all sitting on pins and needles waiting for news, so I can imagine how your family (especially Ann) ;-) is anticipating the birth of your baby. You are in great hands and will be pampered to the max!
Have a wonderful day Zenyatta and baby “Z”! xoxox
Barbara
THIS IS SOOOO EXCITING ‘Z’. I remember when my own mare had her first foal, I was so excited and stayed up all night with her talking to her softly and stroking her head. If I was there with you I would be doing the same thing. We also had classical music playing in the background to keep her calm and it worked.
I cant wait to hear about all your exciting and fun things that you will be doing the next couple of weeks. I love you so much and I am so happy for you. Listen to your caretakers and tell Tasty to do the same. Love you guys
Happy Thursday to all.

Hello Pretty Girl! So exciting! It won’t be long now and what I’ve been so waiting for! Take care of yourself and say hi to your caretakers! I love you Zenyatta and Tasty too!

I am excited that you and Tasty have taken residence in the foaling barn. I continue to pray for a safe delivery and healthy babies for both you and Tasty. Are you making bets between each other who will be a mama first? Happy days to you Zenny.

Great videos! It is so wonderful of your “family” to share this experience with all of us. I pray all goes smoothly for you and Tasty as I’m sure it will with such great care.

I am getting really excited Zenyatta that you are so close to having your baby. I wish they had a live cam in your stall! I love you!!!

Zenny, you and Tasty look so fit and blushingly beautiful! Allow them to pamper and fuss over you. You have many exciting things to come, take all the love that is being heaped on you. Many prayers around you and Tasty. Many kisses and lots of chucks, Zenny darling! h+++

Oh, how exciting. I can tell by your ears and your tail how excited you are to explore the new surroundings. What a fun day the two of you are having! I was really excited to see the new post and pictures this morning. It is always so fun to see that there is a new Zenyatta post; I just can’t wait for it to open up – seems like it takes forever because I get excited! Then I speed read the post really quickly to make sure there isn’t something I need to know “right away” – lol – then I go back and really take my time and reread every word and enjoy every picture and soak it all in – such special times we are all sharing with “the girls”.

Thank you Team Z for your wonderful updates. It is a joy to read and feel apart of such a warm group of caring people. Wishing the girls, Tasty and Zen, safe deliveries, and beautiful, healthy babies. How blessed they are to born to folks like Team Z!!!!

Hi, sweet Momma,
Exciting time for all of us….the “Watch” is on!! And, I’m keeping a watchful eye on your Facebook numbers, and your “new fan” activity is picking up, to the point I actually think your Facebook page could very well reach that magic 100,000 mark around the time your foal arrives, if he/she comes around March 8!! What a “birthday” present for your little one, to have over 100,000 fans the day he/she arrives! Your page is already up to nearly 97,400 fans! Who-o-o-o H-o-o-o-o!
It’s been fun to see Rachel’s foal, the pictures and the videos….can’t wait to see yours! Big hugs, Zenny…Love you bunches! Ann Maree

How exciting…another step closer to the big day!!! Loved the video that Lane’s End put out for more information on the birthing process for equines. Hope you and Tasty and all the other soon-to-be moms have a wonderful day!!!

It would be really nice if we were able to watch a foaling cam of z.

I’m guessing all of Team Z is getting SO excited! As a fan, I can barely stand it. We’re coming into the home stretch now. Big Mama Z is getting ready to do her thing. Just like with her racing, I’m sure I’m going to cry a little when we see mama with junior. Wishing all of Team Z the best!

“Foaling Barn…” Just those words are TOO CUTE!!!

what a gorgeous picture of Zenyatta and Tasty crossing over the creek! Sort of like passing from one stage of life to another — mommyhood. Such excitement!! The best to all the people taking great care of all the mares at Lane’s End.

What a wonderful comparison, and so true…. Mommyhood the next big step. Its a little anxious and very exciting at the same time!
Brigid
Sharon, took the words right out of my mouth! ;o)))

Hi Zenny:
Wow! You and Tasty couldn’t be at a better place and around such caring, capable people.
The countdown has begun and to me this is more exciting than a spaceship launch (since I live in Florida).
Prayers for your safe delivery. Can’t wait for the announcement of the “blessed event!”
@Abigail from Montreal: Thank you so much for the link to Samantha Clark’s Blog. The whole process is so fascinating but does make me glad I am not a broodmare!
Hugs and nose kisses to Zenny and Tasty.
Tick Tock! Tick Tock!

Very interesting but also a little sad for all the other horses who aren’t so fortunate as the Zenyatta girl is. I do not know anything about breeding horses so I can’t pretend to understand why so many horses are bred each year when a great deal don’t become the big money maker in racing. I would think some of these horsemen would be responsible and not produce so many. Maybe then these wonderful creatures would not end up in slaughter houses. Anyway I am a big Zenyatte fan and I was so fortunate to see her race so I am also anxiously awaiting her day.

Yes, Joan, an issue that definitely needs to be addressed and fixed.
Dawn Conrad / Colorado
Yes, Joan. How I pray that one day in this world every beautiful new foal would be born into a life of love and care!!!
Barbara Grimaldi/Skip & Juliet/NJ
Yes, Joan, that is a point that has to be faced in racing–breeding stallions to 50-100 mares a year, in many cases to find that one Derby winner to cap a career.
Judy Idriss
Wow! The foaling barn! The time is really getting close. So happy Tasty is with you as well. Thanks again for all of the wonderful updates. Can’t wait to see your’s & Tasty’s foals. What an exciting time.
Much love to you & Tasty.
Linda M
Sweet Z and TT – We missed you! So glad to her from you again and know you are both well. It is just a matter of time now before we get to celebrate your Motherhood! I, along with many of your fans, are holding this very dear as it expands our “Auntie” roles and responsibilities – with a welcome I might add :)
I do hope Dottie and John’s trip was wonderful and that all the little ones are coming along nicely! Look forward to hearing about Florida!
Love and Kisses – Linda & George
Ronni
Welcome back!! You and Tasty look adorable checking out your new home.
Julie DuVall / Ontario, CA
I love the photo of YOU and Tasty crossing the bridge; it’s so exciting to be crossing over into a new chapter of your life!
I have to share the dream I had last night with YOU and all the Z-sters. I love the randomness of dreams:
In the dream, I was at Hollywood Park to take photographs of YOU. Donna Vowles brought you out and Dottie (who looked like Trudy McCaffery, Free House’s “mom” for some reason) was there too. I asked Dottie if you were going to go into the foaling barn when you “got home” and she said yes with a big smile! Then Donna made you lie down so I could take photos. It was a little awkward with that big baby bump! You looked adorable, though. Then you were standing up and I was giving you a big hug (somehow, in the dream, I was able to get my arms all the way around you!) and people were taking pictures of us together (probably YOUR JOHN, right?)
It was a lovely dream to wake up from. I could feel the LOVE surrounding you and everyone in the dream. I hope your dreams are just as full of love and warmth as mine was as you wait for your foal to arrive.
P.S. My hunch is that it will be a FILLY, but don’t bet on it — my hunches at the track are usually wrong :)
Cathleen
Zenyatta that is such exciting news!! I’m glad you and Tasty will still be together. It’s so nice you have a friend going through this with you. Can’t wait to hear what your team has planned for you. I hope when you have your baby Your Mario gets to come out and visit you and your new baby!! XOXO Cathleen
Linda
SOOOO exciting for both you, Z and Tasty. Happy you have each other for company along with your great handlers. We are thrilled to be part of this new stage of your life and await anxiously the arrival of both your little ones. Nose kisses to you both and giant hugs for all who take care of you.
