I just finished reading about Zellda on Horse Racing Nation. I have a hunch this could be garbage so please don’t shoot the messenger. First there was a post that five months ago she suffered an injury, the person reporting this couldn’t remember what it was, but thought it had to do with her hind legs. I also read the reason she wasn’t working out was because of a growth spurt and they were giving her a break. Also, it was implied that perhaps Zenny was going to be retired from broodmare duties and wanted Zellda to keep the zenyatta line going. Hope I said that right. If anyone else can find out about these things please let us know.
Not sure what all you read, but as I understand it, Zellda was simply not interested in racing and has relocated from California to Lane’s End where she will be part of their brood mare band. Zilkah left Lane’s end in August or September and is in early training in Florida. Coz remains at the De Sousa farm in Kentucky and is on winter break from his arena training, and Ziconic is happily enjoying life in California and also doing some arena training. I’m not sure of the correct terminology for what either of them are doing – it’s not dressage but maybe hunter- jumper. I’m sure someone will enlighten us.

totally despicable, and I certainly hope none of them can ever get another license to train. They should never be allowed to be around horses in any

Hi Judy! That was a “duh” moment! The name of the book and the movie is Lean on Pete. It came out in 2017 and is British. I ❤ the British productions. And it has a good cast! Now I definitely HAVE to read the book and see the movie?
