    Dear Z Fans:

    Wait until you see this replay. Akai Ito wins the QE II cup at Hanshin in Japan in a huge upset at 65 to 1. Seems like the long shots in Japan racing just keep winning. AK had a troubled start and won anyway. Wow.

    So sad to see that Rock Hard Ten is gone. So many of them are leaving us. Guess I have to get used to the fact that I am old and have been a racing fan for many many years. But the two year olds are becoming 3 soon and we will be off on the Derby trail.
    I am the proud owner of 3 whiskers on the nose of Classic Cut a 2 year old colt by Empire Maker out of a Ghostzapper mare and trained by Brad Cox. I can probably run faster than he but it is fun to be invested in him.
    I have not been posting since every time I do, they say they are monitoring my comment! Ticked me off and I just quit posting. Missed you all too much and had to come back.

      Hi Marilu,
      I’ve also been wondering why we haven’t heard anything about Zenyatta for a while. I visited Lane’s End in June, and talked so much about Zenyatta they stopped so I could see her. I was absolutely star struck! She looked healthy and content, and fell asleep while we all petted her and took pictures. Great day I won’t forget.

    RIP Albert the Great, so sorry.
    Son of Go for Gin, he was euthanized due to very bad chronic sinus infections. He resided at Old Friends and was 24. Condolences to
    Michael Blowen and everyone at Old Friends, and to all connections.
    Many thanks to Old Friends for the special loving care given to these
    wonderful warriors. Farewell to Albert the Great — running with angels.
