    Loved the Dancing Queen video. Imagine Zellda or Zilkha doing the same thing as they’re heading toward the starting gate. Here’s hoping that whatever the reason is for no more posts about our Zenny, that it can be overcome and isn’t horrendously bad.

    Hi Marshall. Just wanted to let you know I went through the comments in moderation also. Very glad to see you are back. May not be commenting much for a few days because of bad weather and because I’m practically sitting on my phone to hear if indeed Tommy and I will be getting a little, white fluffy dog as a playmate for Feather. Think good thoughts for us. Here’s hoping JB is right and we’ll being hearing something about Zenny soon. Also, any news about Zellda or Zilkha that may be available. Hope you’re not part of the big storm heading that way. Thankfully we’ll be getting rain for about a week to help with drought and fires.

    I think it’s still Friday ?. Sorry this is so late – I had an Alumni function to attend, and it somehow took all day to get myself organized. Anyhow, Hovis has finally found a lovely female admirer in the next paddock. Snogging ensued. You’ll see the picture ?. He’s working on preparations for Your Horse is Alive which is coming up soon.     Chromie’s Cilla finished third today. She had the lead and at the funish, the favorite Caramel Swirl came on from seventh spot to win and long shot, Joy’s Rocket from fifth to second. Here’s the replay.

      Caramel Swirl, with that name and a fall race, it was meant to be. My handicapping has taken a drastic change in approach!

    Dear Judy, Thanks so much for the replay of Cilla’s race and the photos of Zenyatta She is just as magnificent as ever and perhaps a year off is just what she needed. Also loved the American Pharoah picture. Even if I don’t know how to post photos, it might work if you’d like to see a cute little fluffball if you type in Humane Society of Central Oregon or simply HSCO/strays and scroll to the second row down. She looks a little worse for wear from her stay there, but we should be hearing sometime this week whether we can take her. Her owner is in the hospital and the folks who were taking care of her aren’t sure if they want to adopt her or not. Will let you know. To Be Continued. Have a lovely evening.

    Just a note to let folks know we won’t be getting our little white dog.Her person is still in the hospital. No word on her condition. It seems that in the course of the 10 day status check that is run on all dogs that come to this shelter, it was found that (Leah) hadn’t been taken care of very well at all and had a rather extensive list of health problems. Luckily though, some other folks put $$$$down to put her on hold so we know she is going to a GOOD PLACE, I wish them all the luck in the world as I know from experience they may not have that little girl for very long.

    Out of the loop for a while.

    My horse, Tap the Gavel, is not very motivated at the moment. They are going to try his maiden at another track

    Surgery has been postponed. Three guesses why, and the first two don’t count. Nuts.

      Tap the Gavel is one of my horses too, and the news is a bit discouraging. I guess this is “life in the horse world.” My first horse, American Heiress, is probably being sold after only TWO races (and she bled in the first one). Then Frosted Oats looked much more encouraging in her second outing but is now recovering from surgery for what initially seemed like just a stress fracture. Then we have TTG with less than impressive workouts. I just hope Bill Mott is more patient with him than Todd Pletcher was with American Heiress. Don’t think I will be buying into any more of these “My Racehorse” offerings ?

        Sandy, speaking personally, there are only about three trainers with whom I would be interested when purchasing through “My Racehorse.” Todd Pletcher is definitely not one, nor is Steve Assmussen. Bill Mott is one of racing’s good guys, very patient. I have asked My Racehorse repeatedly to please consider John Shirreffs when selecting a West Coast trainer.
