Oh my, what a fabulous win by Max Player in the Suburban today at Belmont. He went off at 11 to 1. Congrats to him and jockey R. Santana, Jr. Well done! Good efforts by Mystic Guide, Happy Saver and Moretti too. Hope all came back safe today everwhere.

I’d like to profusely thank all the Z’sters who continue to post which helps folks like
me who have been having all sorts of technical difficulties to stay in the loop. First, let me say I agree with everything about anything that’s been mentioned or discussed for about the last two months. Finally I especially like the 6 wet dog towel day remark. How about sending 3 or 4 of those wet towels here to Oregon. You can add another year of drought to the list. It appears we’ll be having a succession of several smallish wildfires instead of 3 or 4 huge ones like last year. So far none are close to us. I’d also be glad to send you some of the 90 and 100+ temps we’ve been having. Here’s hoping all of you have a sparkling day.

You may well have heard me cheering at the finish of Race 8!! Remember the lovely grey Dancingwthdaffodls? Well she and Dylan Davis came from the second to last to finish first, 22-1!!! Also, another grey came from just off the pace to win Race 9 going away. This was Giggle Factory with Junior Alvarado aboard, 7-2. No one had given either horse a chance. Congrats to these winners and all connections!!

Yes, I saw that race today — Race 6 at Belmont. The beautiful dark grey with the flaxen tail came from way-back last running down the center to get the win by ~1 length. That was Montauk Traffic, 4 yr. old by Cross Traffic out of Taittinger Rose who went off at 7-2. Handsome fellow!!

Lancaster Bomber passed away at age 7. Attila’s Storm has passed away at age 19 from colic. Stallion Fury Kapcori has died at age 11. This was also due to complications from colic. RIP
