Thanks for the pics. Look forward to the weekly post. Love Zenyatta, CoZ, Ziconic, and angel Z Princess. All of them are so close in my heart. Spirit blessings to all.
Oh Coz—-you are indeed magnificent!!! May your feet have wings when you make your first racing run!!!
May “our” Chromie be his best and happiest self tomorrow and run like the wind!!! Love to see him racing–he always looks like he just loves it!!!
These lovely pictures and high hopes for Chromie tomorrow help to ease the pain of the last few days—such a terrible tragedy–keep learning more and more about those on board who lost their lives—awful!!
Was glad to hear about Lisa’s Booby Trap being in foal–that should give their daughters some comfort. I remeber reading about that story on the blog several years ago.
Sue just called a lit bit ago to tell me about the great ride she had on Barnaby this morning. She was so excited–she cantered him and he did really well. No coughs or anything.. Maybe I’ll try that this weekend–we’ll see. Am trying to let him tell me how much he can do as he gets better and better. It is supposed to be in the high 60’s this weekend so the sunshine will help him for sure!! More later!!
Dear Sue,
Great to hear from you! Glad that Barnaby is doing so well, too.
Hope you and Mr. B have a lovely time this weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and mild temps!
Hugs and Love
you are part of the good of racing you bring a smile to my face probably won’t be able to see u as tvg took santa anita away but i know your family will post a video please
Sorry about my abrupt departure from the post earlier. Normally,I get off early on Fridays—today I was “packed up”, ready to dash out into the sunshine , when I suddenly remembered that this was the week I’d been asked about several weeks ago,to see if I would work until the regular time today,as the little gal whp takes over for me on Friday afternoons, and the weekends, was going to be on vacation!!!Ah-the disappointment!! At least they got me out in time to have my customary Friday afternoon lunch at the darling cafe across the street!!
Wish our beautiful weather would now work it’s way East!! Zenny is probably still romping in snow! I’m SO glad were getting sunshine now,as the vet says that sun and fresh air are the very best thingfs for Barnaby now He seems happy and content and only coughs occasionally now. Will let you know how he does this weekend.
So loved the photos of Ziconic last weekend–he has had a special place in my heart since he popped out RED!! I love the photo I bought of him, trotting along with his mom and going stride for stride under the blooming tree. Such confidence and bravery, even then. Look out racing world–HERE HE COMES!!
@Terry–Loved the great red-neck jokes!! I’m going to miss the BC this year–but–I hope you will be able to be at the next one in 2016,back in CA. We keep missing each other like ships passing in the night!! (Of course, I think that will be a very special BC as Zi will be running in the Classic for Horse of the Year, after having won the Triple Crown!!)
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend (especially Chromie!!). Zenny, hope you can feel the kisses I’m blowing you on the wind !!
Thank you for the lovely pictures of our First Prince. He certainly looks wonderful and has mom’s ears. From the smile on his face, the rider is enjoying being with Coz. What is the rider’s first name? That is if he does not mind us knowing it. We have seen him in quite a few of the pics of our boy.
TVG is not showing Santa anita races any more? Come to think of it, I have not seen races from there all week. I work in the licensing office of CHRB so have TVG on all the time. Of course, I dont watch every race, but I have not heart “that voice” calling a race in a while…. Who is showing SA races?
Just looked at the racing calendar in the office. Looks like they are still racing Thursday-Sunday. Guess I will have to quit working so hard and pay more attention to the TV!!
One thing I have noticed for a long time. When watching the racing from Golden Gate fields, I notice the horses are a lot more shiny than at any other venue. Always. Any idea why?
Wow! thanks for posting photos of Cozmic One. He is gorgeous just like him mom! You are all wonderful keeping us up-to-date with Zenyatta and her boys!
Dear Judy.Lovely pics of Coz!They say Kate’s baby is due on the 25th april. My dad’s birthday was the 24th so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.Prince William arrived on my mother’s birthday 21st june!Goodnight God bless you LM PC HT Cap Hercules Frank and all the Sweeties.Love and hugs SheenaX
Handsome Coz! Sure reminiscent of you, Zenny. Have a wonderful night everyone. with love, Elizabeth PS Congratulations Team Z for 20,000 plus fan(s) … and counting
Judy, Sheena, Kathy, Max, Shirlee, thank you so much for your best wishes for Chrome and adding my boys African Story and Sky Hunter. Its up early in the morning for me. Well, not too early but do want to see the UAE Derby too think it garners a lot of points for the Kentucky Derby.
Judy thank you so much for the very nice article on Main Sequence. Oh Gosh, my Sky Hunter faces him. It’s pacing time. At about 12 pm eastern. Big Big Pacing time at 1pm for World Cup.
According to our local paper the World Cup will be on Fox Sports 1 at 1:00 pm eastern. Of course, I want my magnificent Lea to win, but would be happy for Chromie or any of the American horses. Main thing is that all finish safely. Godspeed to all of them.
Prayers to the Good Lord. Please safety to all Horses and Jockeys. So missing the horses we’ve lost, animals, and Humans
In one of our nearby schools yesterday at one of the baseball games a 14 year old boy was hit by a baseball on the side of his head. He was airlifted to Tallahasee. He died this morning. Prayers for the Shaw family. Such a freak accident. Wonder if he was just called home.
God Speed to all horses and Jockeys
Worry about how much we can remember can throw the mind into such stress that it cannot function right. The harder we try, the less we are going to recall.
As living progresses there is more to remember, and very little of it worthy fact. The incessant chatter that goes on around us is not important and when it comes to the children’s ages-let them remember.
If there is something we really want to retain, then we should write it down. A notebook has saved many a day and acts as a companion to someone who doesn’t want to remember everything.
We love the Great Spirit-we acknowledge his supreme power-our peace, our health, and our happiness depend upon him.

Kathy, So true about writing things down. I fill so many notebooks. I don’t even go back to read many of them again, but it helps me to remember. Love the last sentence of this reading especially. God’s blessings to you for a good day at work. with love, Elizabeth
PS We should all be like Zenyatta – Zenny seems to remember … and then dance! Love her so much for her dances and for bringing everyone together here on her website (and those inspiring races! )
My Aunt Mary wrote things down when I was just a kid but then she forgot where she left the notes, lol. Everything comes full circle…now I’m the one who loses the notes! Have a wonderful day.
I get to work today, so might not be back here later on. Have a good Saturday. Today is the Dubai World Cup. Go CA Chrome! All seems well with the FB furbabies I’ve checked on. Love and hugs from me, kisses from Holly, Nikko and Sugar. Kathy.

Thrilled for the Panther. He’s eccentric but he can run, with or without a jockey.
